Crossovers
  • Across The Kaleidoscope combines this with The Man in the Mirror Talks Back, as it's revealed during the Fourze-Hibiki arc that the masked man is the Mirror World's version of Ritsuka, and had been talking to him over the past two years.
  • Fallout: Equestria: A key moment in Littlepip's development forms when she comes face to face with a magic mirror intended to show her soul. She sees herself dressed in raider garbs, bathed in blood, and is horrified by the possibility that she could become He Who Fights Monsters.
  • Seven Days in Corona: When Quasimodo looks in the mirror of Saint Joan (read, Joan of Arc), he sees his inner self reflected- a handsome man devoid of all physical deformities, exactly what Rapunzel sees and loves in him.
  • A Triangle in the Stars: While exploring the school in Chapter Eight, Bill Cipher catches sight of his reflection. For a moment, he finds himself thinking that there's something he doesn't like about what he sees, though he can't put his finger on it, and quickly shies away from the thought. Still, this moment serves as his first glimmer of a Heel Realization.

Disney Animated Canon

  • In Darkest Destiny, when Cassandra looks at the mirror in Rapunzel's vanity, she sees herself looking just like she did back when she was serving as her handmaiden.

Invader Zim

  • In Mirror, Mirror, Gaz buys a magic mirror from an antique store, and soon finds out that when she looks into it, it shows her as a grotesque pig-like monster, because of her gluttony and refusal to share any food with her brother. When she returns to the store to complain, the shopkeeper advises her to change her ways and maybe her reflection will change. Instead, she destroys the mirror and accidentally releases its magic, which transforms her into the pig monster.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

  • In Delusions, after becoming an alicorn, Celestia finds that she still sees her reflection as a mule. Clover the Clever tells her that she'll continue to see herself as such as long as she stays true to herself.
  • Aftermath of the Games: In Integration, Sci-Twi panics when she first manifests telekinesis. While she's in the bathroom trying to calm herself down, she sees Midnight Sparkle smiling back at her from the mirror, declaring that she'll be waiting for her to become her once again.
    • After her near-kidnapping, Midnight Sparkle shows up in Sci-Twi's reflection again to mock her over her inability to defend herself, insisting that she'll inevitably fall back to the dark side again.
