• Dino Attack RPG: Atton Rand (who is most definitely not a surgeon himself, but wrote the majority of medicinal characters), showed his work when Shiller was presented to the medical staff, during which time he actually did some research into the proper procedures for treating a collapsed lung and internal bleeding. The processes were simplified for the post, but still quite impressive.
• Yu-Gi-Oh! East Academy: In-Universe, Caramon did enough researching into Duel Academys prior to attending that both the large quantity of Duel Spirit-seeing people and an Omnicidal Maniac trying to revive itself left him mostly unfazed.
