Shout Out / Plants vs. Zombies

• To other PopCap games:
  • Scroll down on the Achievements menu and you can see references to Bookworm, Bejeweled, Chuzzle, Peggle, and Zuma. Scroll down too far and you see Chinese zombies.
  • Minigames include "Beghouled" and "Zombiquarium". Then later, "Beghouled Twist"
  • Speaking of Insaniquarium, Stinky the Snail helps you collect coins in the Zen Garden.
  • There's also a mention of Peggle in the Pumpkin's entry.
  • One of the Minigames on the Xbox 360 version is called "Heavy Weapon", the name of another PopCap game. You play as a pea-shooting lawnmower that moves back and forth while aiming, in a similar fashion. The power-ups your lawnmower could get are also very similar to the original game.
• The Dancing Zombie is an undead King of Pop. In the Game of the Year Edition, this was changed to an undead Disco Dan.
• One of the mini-games is called "Portal Combat".
• One of the I, Zombie puzzles is called "All Ur Brainz R Belong 2 Us".
  • In the Spanish version, this level was called "Seis Tontos muy Tontos" (Six very dumb dumbs), which is a reference to Dumb and Dumber, which is called "Dos Tontos muy Tontos" in Spain.
• At the last level, Crazy Dave pops up and says I know his weakness! You have to press up up down down left right left right... hmm.... Sadly, typing that in while paused only causes a short popping sound to play.
• Tombstones are labelled "BEREFT OF LIFE" and "Just Resting".
• The Chomper auditioned as a stunt double for Little Shop of Horrors.
• The track "Braniac Maniac" is a musical nod to the Mega Man series.
• The "Undead Space" achievement.
• A Peashooter looks almost exactly like a Bellsprout.
• Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare: Does that title remind you of a certain other video game series?
• In Garden Warfare, one can find a bulletin board that has a poster reading "Cheevo Hunters for hire".
• The fact that when a zombie reaches a lawnmower, it will go down to mow down the entire lane full of zombies. Where we've had seen that before?
