Midevenings with Jay Miller is a late-night Staten Island-based, public access variety show involving sketch comedy, musical numbers, and a hefty amount of improv, or as its host has lovingly nicknamed it, a "thing".
This "thing" provides examples of:
- Blatant Lies: Any time the phrase "We'll edit that in post" is used.
- Cannot Talk to Women: Jay dedicated a whole song to how difficult flirting with women is for him. The unedited version is about twelve minutes long.
- Hand Wave: One particular episode involves Jay giving away Sal Vulcano's phone number. Sal is understandably paranoid about someone tracking him down through it.Sal: They're going to air this.
Jay: No, no, it's good. It's good. - Take That!: CONSTANTLY. Digs at the low production value, the quality of the show, the weird fans and more abound.Jay: We have a...show for you guys tonight. I wish I could say it's a great show, but I've seen it already, and it's weird.
