• With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: The Alicorn Amulet causes this. Alternate Twilight's continuous exposure to it caused her to go crazy and become Empress Midnight.
  • This is due to it not being designed for normal ponies, but instead for the No-Ponies.
• Why Won't You Die?: Midnight thinks this as Twilight is surviving massive rocks and boulders hurdling towards her being sucked into the void.
• With My Hands Tied: Played with, when Midnight and Rainbow Dash encounter each other on Mecha Spike's back, Midnight challenges her to not fly and she will not use her magic, therefore making her wing arms (mostly) useless.
  • This doesn't last long...
• You Have No Chance to Survive: Empress Midnight taunts Twilight as she has both Alicorn Amulets, and Twilight (the only pony who can directly use her magic on her and her mooks,) in captivity, and is about to finish off the resistance.
• You Just Told Me: Subverted. Alternate Boris claims this just to get a rise out of Alternate Borris, only to then reveal that he figured it out that Borris is hitting on Rainbow Dash.
