- At one point in Belfast, Buddy is seen reading a Thor comic. This is a Director Allusion, as Kenneth Branagh, who directed Belfast, also directed the MCU Thor film.
Literature
- The Dresden Files: While trading introductions with a Jotnar that's decided to kill him in Battle Ground, Harry briefly mentally notes that most people are aware of Thor through the Marvel films these days, but that the Jotnar's humble brag of fighting the Odinson and living means that Harry is very out of his depth. Murphy kills the giant using a rocket launcher, but Harry did survive the initial confrontation at least.
- Spider-Man (2000): Venom mentions the Mighty Thor.
- Spider-Man 2 – Enter: Electro: Thor is seen in a newspaper cover by the Daily Bugle claiming he stopped Electro when Spider-Man actually did so.
Webcomics
- Hark! A Vagrant: "The Enchantress" uses the villain's over the top obsession and a bit of cluelessness on Thor's part for humor.
- El Goonish Shive: NP: "An NPC by any other name", the naming of the Cleric has tons of shout-outs running through Ellen's head◊, with the end of the eighth-line-from-the-end and start of the one after, are comics references, with that last name being "Loki".
- Dexter's Laboratory: Vallhallen of the Justice Friends is an expy of Thor.
- The Simpsons: Loki makes a cameo at the end of "Bart's New Friend", much to Chief Wiggum's surprise.
- South Park:
- "A History Channel Thanksgiving" is a Whole-Plot Reference to the first Thor movie, featuring Miles Standish as an expy of Thor.
- In "A Nightmare on FaceTime", the boys are disguised as the Avengers, with Kyle being the one wearing a Thor costume.
