  • Network: Laureen Hobbs says that Little House is scheduled against her show.
  • North: The Nelson family is named after various classic TV characters; Laura is named for Laura Ingalls.
  • Pitch (2009): Belial mentions that Jim's fantasies of his crush borrowed some from Little House on the Prairie.
  • Scrooged: At one point, the Ghost of Christmas Present is telling Frank Cross off for having spent his entire childhood glued to the television. Frank counters with a few moments in his life that he fondly recalls; the second recollection is entirely based on the homecoming episode of Little House, as the Ghost angrily reminds him.

  • In In Two Worlds, the boys' mom reads the Little House books. During a scene in which Pa gets lost in a blizzard and hides in a snow cave, Anthony becomes so scared that he runs into his room and hides under a blanket. His mom thinks he's just picking up on everyone else's emotions, but Mark knows that he really understands the plot.
  • In Julia's Kitchen, Cara goes to a small, old-fashioned market, run by a man who calls her Miss Cara, which makes her feel like a Little House on the Prairie character.
  • In Beverly Cleary's Mitch and Amy, Amy and her friend decide to play Little House on the Prarie, and, since you can't have much of a game with parents around, quickly decide that Ma and Pa are caught in a blizzard.
  • In Small Persons with Wings, the "fictional" things eight-year-old Mellie refuses to believe in include Laura and Mary in the big woods.
  • In A Mango-Shaped Space, Mia feels like she's in Little House on the Prairie whenever she goes to the country store.
  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians: In The Last Olympian, Percy describes Hestia as looking like a pioneer kid, "like the ghost of Little House on the Prairie or something".

  • Muppets Tonight: In the first episode, one of the shows listed on the KMUP lineup is Little Mouse on the Prairie.
  • Orange Is the New Black: In "Lesbian Request Denied", Piper is told that she dresses like Laura Ingalls.
  • Roseanne: In "Home-Ec", Darlene's home-ec teacher calls Roseanne to tell her that she learned to make quiche and sew, to which Roseanne replies, "How very Little House on the Prairie."
  • Sabrina the Teenage Witch: In "The Long Winding Short Cut", Mrs. Quick says that she watches the show every day after school.
  • Sanford and Son: In "Steinberg and Son", Fred has an idea for a show about pioneer plumbers called Little Outhouses on the Prairie.
  • Sesame Street: One "Monsterpiece Theatre" sketch puns on the title, by showing Prairie Dawn with a toy house strapped to her head.
  • That '70s Show:
    • In "Ramble On", it's revealed that Hyde likes to watch the show.
    • In "I Can See for Miles", Hyde says that the scented candles Jackie put in his room made him feel like running through a field like Laura Ingalls.
  • The Big Bang Theory:
    • Amy Farrah Fowler is a big fan of the show and the novels, she even writes fanfictions about it.

Western Animation

  • Family Guy:
    • In The Teaser for "Fore, Father", the Griffins watch an episode of Little House in which the family plays pranks on blind Mary.
    • The closing sequence to "Airport '07" is a spot-on parody of the one used by Little House, complete with the season 1 closing theme, the same font used for the credits and Quagmire running through a field in much the same way a young Laura did, with the action even freezing in the same way when Quagmire jumped in the air near the end.
    • The Special Edition Title for "Livin' on a Prayer" spoofs the opening to Little House.
  • The Jetsons: In "Winner Takes All", Elroy and Judy watch Little House on the Planet.
  • An episode of Robot Chicken is titled "Slaughterhouse on the Prairie".
