Anime & Manga

  • Campione!: In the anime version, Godou Kusanagi's Golden Sword of the Warrior Authority resembles Unlimited Blade Works.
  • A Certain Magical Index:
    • When Touma Kamijou prepares to save Index from needing her memories erased, he quotes Shirou Emiya with, "I don't want to be a hero, I will become one!"
    • The High Priest resembles Zouken Matou, which the artist confirmed was an inspiration.
  • Gate:
    • Some JSDF agents use Servant classes like Saber and Archer as code names, and they also use code phrases involving a Holy Grail.
    • To fight a dragon, Lelei levitates several metal objects in a manner resembling Archer or Gilgamesh.
  • Keijo!!!!!!!!: Kazane Aoba uses a parody of the Gate of Babylon called Gate of Bootylon, where she opens portals to people's butts.
  • My Mental Choices Are...: It parodies the Shirou vs Gilgamesh fight during Ayame Reikadou and Yuragi Hakoniwa's fight. Ayame uses Gate of Oinkton (opening portals to summon an army of pigs) while Yuragi uses Unlimited Brother Works (a Reality Marble to summon all of her adoptive brothers, which are a lot).
  • Tsuma ni Damatte Sokubaikai ni Ikun ja Nakatta: In this hentai, while looking through her husband's Porn Stash, the main character Yumika finds and masturbates to a doujinshi that depicts Minamoto-no-Raikou in her swimsuit Lancer form. She later cosplays as her.
  • Ya Boy Kongming!: Its title image is a very obvious reference to the Fate franchise because the manga itself is another work about a historical figure coming to help a modern-day figure. Specifically, the famous scene in Fate/stay night where Saber is looking down at Shirou in the shed.

Fan Works

  • Akane no Guilty Crown: In ChapterXVII, Gai, in his dragon form, summons portals to fire crystal swords in a very Gilgamesh way.
  • Arc Royale: The whole fic is essentially Fate but with some tweaks applied to the Servants — from the reliance on someone to keep them materialized, to the way that the Jaunes turn into motes of light upon death, to them fighting to the death over one person receiving a wish from a divine source.
  • Ashes of the Past:
    • In one chapter description, Saphroneth explains that their idea of Sacred and Secret Sword is very similar to unlocking a Noble Phantasm. Each person thereby has a version of Sacred Sword unique to them and based on a Noble Phantasm.
      • Coballion has Curtana, the Sword of Mercy used in coronations.
      • Verizion has Joyeuse, the sword of Charlemagne.
      • Terrakion has Durendal, the unbreakable sword of Roland, one of Charlemagne's paladins.
      • Keldeo has Excalibur and Excalibur Galatine.
      • Sir Aaron and his Lucario had Kanshou and Bakuya.
      • Ash has Caliburn, the sword that chooses... and can perform Saber's Excali-blast with Secret Sword.
      • Sceptile has the sword of Olivier, another one of Charlemagne's paladins.
      • Absol has Carnwennen, King Arthur's dagger of invisibility.
    • While pretty much any usage of Bone Rush ends up being a Fate reference, Sir Aaron apparently became famous because of his sheer mastery over the move, being able to create weapons — specifically, a pair of falchions made from the concept of brotherhood. Yes, Sir Aaron's Signature Move is to create Kanshou and Bakuya and then perform Archer's Crane Wing Three Realm.
  • Codex Equus: Dame Black Knight, the Honorable Wanderer, is already a rendition of Sir Lancelot. So, in one DeviantArt vignette, she stumbles upon a Servant version of herself during the Second Age Grail Wars, and they both engage in a vicious fight.
  • Group Chat: The author is an overt Nasu fan, directly compares the fic's relation to canon to Fate/hollow ataraxia in an author's note at one point, and used Emiya in chapter 27 over a pivotal moment.
  • I Don't Run An Orphanage!: Sai Bura, formerly known as Saber, is blatantly based on Saber Altria Pendragon's incarnation as Saber. Among other things, she was forced to Mercy Kill a character going by the name of Berserker and her Quirk is to manifest blades, which she also wields. She even has a daughter that calls her "father" and is antagonistic toward her.
  • The Sword of Justice and the Shield of Time: One of the new Witches Sayaka and Homura face resembles a Black Knight who fires a black Sword Beam, very reminiscent of Saber Alter.
  • Vow of the King: Eien-ō's spirit form is heavily based off Lancer Artoria. Her Sword Beam is based on both Getsuga Tensho and Excalibur.
  • We Are All Pokémon Trainers: Appearance-wise, Scientist is a combination of Diarmuid Ua Duibhne and Cu Chulainn. Personality-wise, he's a mix of several characters, including Gilgamesh — specifically, his Fantastic Racism, his Social Darwinist tendencies, his It's All About Me stance, and his Faux Affably Evil disposition. So, it doubles down with Expy.
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V: The Fifth Factor: A lot of Reiji's D/D/D monsters reference characters from the Fate franchise, such as Sunblessed King Karna and Destruction King Altera, right down to their described appearances and the name of their attacks. Made more glaring with D/D/D/D Legend Origin Valiant God-King Gilgamesh who is obviously based on the Nasuverse incarnation of Gilgamesh.

Video Games

  • Honkai Impact 3rd: "Collect X weapons" are references to the ones appearing in the Fate franchise — e.g., God Force, Knight of Honor, Unlimited Blade Works, Gate of Babylon, and Gradation Air.
  • Honor of Kings: Ying Zheng still carries the arrogant air of being the first Emperor. Combined with his tendency to spam a Storm of Blades, he looks like he's based on Type-Moon's rendition of Gilgamesh.
  • Monster Super League: Bordering on Whole-Plot Reference given that some of the 4- and 5-star Astromons are based on historical figures who have become mythologized. Examples include Jeon Woochi, Paracelsus, and Jeanne D'Arc.
  • Oriental Legend: Squinting at both Zhī-zhū's character select portrait and story cutscenes reveals that she resembles Rider Medea quite a lot.
  • Punishing: Gray Raven: Having Ayako Kawasumi voice a dignified blonde woman was always a nod towards Saber Artoria, but Bianca's Stigmata frame makes the reference even more blatant, with Bianca wielding a sword like Saber, and her Limit Break being a Sword Beam with a red and purple tint, making it strongly resemble Saber Alter's Excalibur Morgan.
  • Sakura Wars: Captain Arthur's Overlord Excalibur is a massive Sword Beam that is similar to Saber King Artoria's Noble Phantasm.
  • Sdorica: Sione Aldric is practically a Saberface. Not only is she a noblewoman swordmaster voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, but her alternate skins all also mimic Saber's various forms: Sione SP is Saber Lily (elegant white-dressed swordmaster), Sione MZ is Archer-class summer Saber from Fate/Grand Order (water gun in place of a sword), and Tanabata Sione wears similar blue yukata as a Saber collection figure.
  • Warriors Orochi: Orochi's Musou has him conjuring hundreds of weapons out of thin air, then fires them at the enemy like missiles, in a manner very reminiscent of Gilgamesh's "The King's Treasure" attack.
Web Animation
  • Overly Sarcastic Productions: Humorously, the host Red admits outright that she couldn’t care less about the series itself, but is incredibly annoyed by their designs for Gilgamesh and Iskandar, declaring they should be swapped to more closely resemble their descriptions in legend. She also dislikes the series' penchant for gender flipping Servants.
