Plot Parallels in Fan Works.

Arrowverse

  • What It Takes: Laurel's ongoing conflict with Quentin, who is trying to "protect" her by outing her as the Black Canary and trying to bring her in, is mirrored by Oliver's gradually deteriorating relationship Felicity while they're vacationing in Bali, as she's refusing all his requests to go home and keeping him isolated in order to "protect" him from getting killed in Starling. In truth, Quentin isn't really trying to protect Laurel at all but is actually trying to spite her for her actions regarding Sara's death in the previous year, and is simply trying to justify it. Similarly, Felicity doesn't really care about protecting Oliver so much as keeping him with her so they can live their own lives away from the chaos, even thought it means abandoning their friends and family. Both end the story permanently estranged from their respective loved ones, though for different reasons: Quentin because his actions were a step too far despite genuine repentance on his end, Felicity because she refuses to admit her actions were wrong.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

  • The Stalking Zuko Series: In "Not Stalking Zuko", as the Gaang is searching for Aang, who disappeared on the eve of Sozin's Comet arriving, Toph meets and comes to admire Jun the bounty hunter, only to be disappointed that Jun is Only in It for the Money (albeit unwilling to let Ozai incinerate the Earth Kingdom). Toph ultimately comes to terms with her disappointment when she realizes she was holding Jun to too high of a standard. This parallels Katara's putting Aang on a pedestal and being disappointed in him when he chooses to run away and later spare Ozai, as well as her understanding that she expected too much of Aang.

Danganronpa

  • System Restore: In Chapter One, Hinata takes the revelation of Komaeda plotting to kill somebody extremely hard, as he's left questioning if their relationship was all a lie. In Chapter Two, Togami faces a similar level of personal betrayal when he learns that Pekoyama, somebody he particularly trusted, let Kuzuryuu play the Twilight Syndrome game while she was supposed to be guarding it.

Disgaea

  • Tyrantly Ever After:
    • The trio of Captain Gordon, Kurtis and Jennifer is compared to Valvatorez, Fenrich and Artina. Kurtis specifically complains about being compared to the werewolf.
    • Due to how the Prinny Reincarnation System works, Kurtis has realized that he will never be able to reunite with his family; what's more, in order to retain his memories and identity, he will have to remain a prinny forever. This parallels Artina's own grim realization that the way the reincaration system works means that becoming an angel means that she will never be able to enter heaven.

Fullmetal Alchemist

  • In Son of the Desert, Trisha's Coming of Age Story and courtship of Hohenheim mirrors Edward's Coming of Age Story and him falling in love with Roy Mustang. One of the parties have a major secret (Hohenheim's immortality and Edward's Ishvalan heritage), one offering to kill themselves (Trisha snapping from the pressure to marry, Roy trying to make up for killing Edward's maternal family) and a marriage proposal (Trisha proposing to Hohenheim, Roy proposing to Edward.) Although unlike Trisha's story, Edward's ends a lot happier.

Fire Emblem

  • In Pretender: A knight falls in love with a Broken Ace in love with someone they can't have. Frederick's decision to romantically pursue Robin is paralleled by Stahl's courtship of Cordelia. Although unlike Stahl and Cordelia, Frederick and Robin's relationship falls apart.

Love Hina

  • For His Own Sake: After Keitaro moves out of the Hinata Inn, he finds that many of the residents at his new place are going through situations that parallel his own in various ways. For instance, Ranma has also decided to break off all ties with his father and the Tendos after realizing just how toxic an environment that was.

Miraculous Ladybug

  • BURN THE WITCH:
    • The witch hunt reminds Tikki of how one of her past bearers, Jeanne d'Arc, was hunted down and murdered. Unlike Jeanne, however, she considers Lila to be an Asshole Victim who absolutely deserves to suffer such a gruesome fate... especially because deep down, she fears Marinette might face something similar if she continues trying to save Lila.
    • Tikki falls under Witch Hunter's More than Mind Control, leading to her and Marinette repeatedly clashing while each tries to help the other 'see sense'. This is reflected by Plagg and Adrien: when Adrien is corrupted, he doesn't give his kwami the chance to say anything; he just transforms.
  • Burning Bridges, Building Confidence:
    • Adrien/Chat Noir betrays Marinette/Ladybug via inaction in both of his identities. As Adrien, he stands by and allows Lila to slander Marinette's good name, while as Chat Noir, he attempts to blackmail her into a relationship by refusing his aid unless she agrees to start dating. As the series progresses, his misbehavior escalates until he's openly blaming her for the results of his own poor decisions.
    • Adrien and Alya are also shown to be equally deluded and insistent upon having things revolve around THEIR wishes, with their priorities skewed in the same direction. When Alya overhears him trying to force Ladybug's 'confession', she agrees with his ultimatum, noting that Ladybug had better hurry as she's running the risk of having her Miraculous stolen. Later, Adrien sympathizes with Alya after Nino breaks up with her, taking her side... and both of them complain about Ladybug changing her suit at the same time, as both preferred the original design (Chat Noir because he found it sexier, while Alya based her blog's theming around it).
    • The Seisquake Trio are members of a Seismology Club whose university has been cheating them out of funding and support. After purifying them of their akumas, Ladybug and Vixxen advise them to go public, as the threat of potential scandal should get the university to comply. This is much like how Principal Damocles only acts to deal with the blatant bullying in Bustier's class when Marinette and Cole's parents find out what's going on and draw up lawsuits against the school, especially once the law labels Alya's premeditated attack on Cole as an ableist hate crime.
  • Dad Villain AU:
    • Rolland Dupain is shown in a flashback to be similar to Gabriel Agreste: both of them are self-absorbed Control Freaks who attempt to twist the misfortune of others to their advantage - Gabriel used the Wish to cause the person who was Ladybug to suffer, while Rolland tried to take advantage of Sabine falling in a coma to attempt to force his methods on Marinette. Marinette ends up standing up to her grandfather much like she did to Hawkmoth in the original timeline. Finally, Rolland storms out of the bakery, ruining what remained of his relationship with his son and granddaughter, much like Gabriel has poisoned his relationship with his son.
    • Marinette and Emelie know of the Miraculous, but are Locked Out of the Loop when it comes to their full story, and neither is aware of the fact that a loved one (Tom and Gabriel) are using/have used a Miraculous for less than wholesome purposes.
    • Both Kim and Emelie Agreste have exploited another person's crush upon them for their own personal amusement: Kim took advantage of Marinette's feelings to play an awful, humiliating prank, while Emelie has strung Nathalie along for years to feed her delusions that everything revolves around her. Both expect their respective victim to remain locked inside an All Take and No Give relationship; when confronted by how much he hurt Marinette, Kim brushes her off with a "Just Joking" Justification and demands that she provide free baked goods for an upcoming fundraiser for his swim team. Emelie, meanwhile, is furious when she learns that Nathalie is moving on from her hopeless crush, as she feels entitled to her secretary's ongoing devotion.
    • Emelie's tendency to emotionally manipulate others mirrors how her husband manipulated people as Hawkmoth. Both ultimately only care about what they can get out of their victims — Gabriel wanted to akumatize them, while Emelie wants her victims to desperately desire her "love" and approval.
    • Viceroy's blackmail network serves as a more mundane counterpart of akumatization. Instead of exploiting others' emotions to transform them, he uses his butterflies to collect compromising information, then find other people who have been wronged by his targets and offer them a chance at revenge. While still tempting others into criminal activity, he's focused on working with the people he contacts rather than simply using them as pawns, and prefers threatening his targets' reputations and deep pockets over attacking them. No, the only ones he's interested in physically assaulting are Hawkmoth and his co-conspirator, and he'd prefer to take care of that matter himself...
  • I See What You Do Behind Closed Doors: One of Adrien's Fatal Flaws is that he pointedly ignores anything that contradicts what he wants to believe is true. For instance, he insists that Ladybug only rejects his unwanted advances as Chat Noir because she's Playing Hard to Get. This issue is echoed in two ways:
    • Firstly, Marinette learns that her classmates would rather believe that all of her warnings about Lila's true character were Driven by Envy. Even after the truth comes out, several of them attempt to convince her that it was her fault that they didn't listen.
    • Ms. Bustier is also shown to employ Selective Obliviousness. When her students start arguing, she leaves the classroom, ostensibly to visit the restroom, but is surprised when she returns to learn that the situation wasn't resolved while she was away. She also willfully blinds herself to how upset Marinette is, expecting her "model student" to Easily Forgive everyone... to the point that as it becomes increasingly clear that won't happen, she's tying herself into mental knots trying to figure out what kind of "alternative approach" Marinette is using.
  • The Karma of Lies:
    • Mrs. Rossi exposed one of her colleagues' corruption; her honesty was rewarded by him using his connections to sabotage her career, causing her husband to divorce her in order to pursue his own ambitions. This mirrors how Marinette was suffering for trying to expose Lila as a Con Artist, with Adrien ignoring her plight because he cared more about his own reputation.
    • Adrien uses his 'friendship' with Marinette to try and pressure her into 'taking the high road' and doing what he wants. We see this echoed with Gabriel and Audrey; when Audrey gets the upper hand on Gabriel, he tries appealing to her using their old friendship as leverage, only for her to bluntly spell out how he abused and shattered her trust. To further drive this point home, the chapter where this confrontation happens ends with a similar scene playing out between Marinette and Adrien, with Adrien playing the exact same card only for Marinette to make clear that it's not her job or responsibility to save him from the consequences of his actions.
  • In Leave for Mendeleiev, Chloé's persistent attempts to continue bullying her favorite victim after Marinette transfers to another class parallels Adrien/Chat Noir's romantic pursuit of his partner Ladybug. Both are driven by a sense of personal entitlement — Chloé can't BEAR the thought of Marinette escaping her influence and becoming more confident, while Adrien is convinced that he deserves to know all of Ladybug's secrets and that they're destined to be together, whether she wants that or not.
  • Marinette Dupain-Cheng's Spite Playlist: After realizing how his inaction led to Marinette transferring out of Collège Françoise Dupont, Adrien decides to start standing up to Lila and agrees to help Chloé take her down. But when Chloé puts her first plan into action, Adrien gets cold feet and leaves her hanging, letting Chloé get roundly mocked by Lila and her followers. Meanwhile, over at Marinette's new school, Elliot stands by and lets Gabrielle humiliate his friend Macy, causing her to get akumatized into Mirror-Mirror. Seeing how this gets resolved as Chat Noir leaves Adrien feeling even guiltier about how he handled his situation, seeing himself as a Dirty Coward.
  • Miraculous Ladybug Salt-Shots: In A Price to Pay, Gabriel and Adrien are shown to share the same Fatal Flaws: both of them take the objects of their affection completely for granted, and arrogantly assume that they are beyond consequences.
    • It's heavily implied that Gabriel Wished for Marinette's family to pay the cost of reviving Emilie, Balancing Death's Books by sacrificing them out of spite. He did not Wish for Emilie to still love him, and is shocked to learn that she divorced him in the new reality. Why? Because Tom didn't just "mysteriously die"; he was killed in a car accident that Gabriel caused, and he bribed the court to avoid any legal consequences. He even laughed when the verdict was handed down! Emilie was so disgusted by his Lack of Empathy and disregard for human life that she broke off their marriage, and makes clear that she wants nothing more to do with him... or with Adrien, whom she disowned for trying to defend his father.
    • This parallels how Adrien fully expects that Marinette will be his girlfriend in the new reality, even after learning that her father was the one sacrificed to fuel the Wish... and that she has all her memories of the original world and how he betrayed her. Unlike Emilie, who isn't aware of anything they did as Hawkmoth and Chat Noir, only knowing about their callous attitude towards the car accident. Even after Marinette extensively spells out for him how much she despises him, he still insists that she needs to help them, even accusing her of being petty about what they did.
  • The One to Make It Stay:
    • Marinette has struggled with taking too much onto her shoulders; her strong sense of personal responsibility serves her well as Ladybug, but has also led to her trying to please everyone and putting their desires ahead of her own. Master Fu has done much the same thing as the Guardian, focusing on how he Must Make Amends for past mistakes. When Marinette realizes this in The Radio Still Plays, she's encouraged to open up to him more, and grows even more determined to set things right and find a better balance for her life.
    • Adrien's insistent pursuit of Ladybug as Chat Noir parallels Alya's efforts to get Marinette together with Adrien... with both ignoring Ladybug/Marinette repeatedly making clear that she's not interested. Alya also supports LadyNoir, and her decision to edit footage of one of Chat's Love Confessions to support her preference causes considerable problems for all involved.
    • The past reflects the future: Master Fu's tale of how the Guardians were betrayed foreshadows what happens in All the Laughs We Had in the Past: the selfishness and self-absorption of a supposed ally leads to tragedy. Much like Fu's Evil Former Friend, Chloé and Adrien both betray the heroes out of anger over not getting what they want; Chloé is akumatized after being told that she's proven too selfish to be trusted with the Bee Comb again, and Adrien falls for her illusion because her Ladybug, unlike the real deal, is a submissive Extreme Doormat willing to go along with whatever he demands of her.
  • There's More Magic Out There: In chapter 36, the plot of the canon episode "Reverser" (where Nathaniel mistakenly believe that Marc and Marinette were trying to trick him with a fan journal about Ladybug, which leads Marc to get Akumatized into the titular akuma) happens at the same time as Alix getting enraged after finding out that Nathaniel's family are monster hunters and that he nearly killed Juleka. Alix even lampshades this trope after she and Nathaniel reconcile, advising him to give Marc a chance to explain himself just as she gave Nathaniel one.
  • Weight Off Your Shoulder: After Chloé's Karma Houdini Warranty runs out, Adrien complains extensively about how unfair it is for her to be facing actual consequences for her bratty behavior, showing No Sympathy for her victims. As far as Adrien is concerned, the toxic status quo should be preserved because that's what he knows — it doesn't matter if things have changed for the better because he doesn't like it. This parallels how Future!Alix wants to Make Wrong What Once Went Right and "correct" the timeline back to match her own. Despite the new Ladybug making several positive changes, such as putting an end to Shadow Moth's reign of terror and preventing horrors like him getting his hands on the Miracle Box, Future!Alix only cares about putting things back to how she remembers them, showing No Sympathy for how much Marinette, the Kwamis, and countless others suffered.
  • What Goes Around Comes Around:
  • The Wolves in the Woods: Early on, Alya gets Hoist by Her Own Petard when she goes after Ben, as she barges into Ms. Mendeleiev's classroom and ignores all warnings about her behavior, getting her into serious trouble when the teacher calls her mother and lets Marlene hear the horrible threats her daughter is making. A similar scene plays out later when Alya confronts Lila: once again, she ignores her surroundings, not caring about who witnesses her attacking her target. And once again, this bites her in the backside, as her older sister Nora intervenes. This then happens again, this time with Marinette witnessing the assault and calling her out. These similar scenarios drive home how Alya refuses to learn from her mistakes or acknowledge what she's doing wrong.

MonsterVerse

  • Abraxas (Hrodvitnon): In certain ways, Monster X's emotional journey in the A-plot is mirrored by the Russell family in the B-plot after the latter group have entered the fic's storyline. Both parties consist of a teamed-up younger female and elder male who are considered direct family to each-other, and throughout the main fic, both parties are trying to step out of the shadows cast by the traumas they endured during, or as a direct result of, the events of the Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) movie. Vivienne and Madison both feel haunted and are at some point plagued with doubts about themselves due to their memories of Ghidorah and Emma Russell respectively, fearing they'll repeat either villain's atrocities — for bonus points, Ghidorah naturally consists of San's elder brothers and it's considered by some of the antagonists to be Vivienne's "father" after her rebirth, paralleling how Emma is Mark's ex-wife and Madison's mother). San and Mark meanwhile both know that they've been bad creatures in the past until recent events; both of them have a proclivity for self-blame and self-loathing, especially when it comes to the things that Vivienne has gone through; and the fic ultimately sees both of them develop into better beings than they ever were before.

My Hero Academia

  • Hero Class Civil Warfare: Katsuki and Izuku's assignments for the titular exercise reflect their personal circumstances:
    • Katsuki is put in charge of the Hero Team, handing him plenty of natural advantages alongside the presumption that his victory is all but guaranteed simply because he's on the favored side. Much like how he grew up being coddled and enabled at Aldera because he happened to get an impressive Quirk. However, Katsuki squanders his advantages, taking them completely for granted; his obsession with further cementing his toxic worldview by beating the shit out of 'Deku' blows up in his face, and his insistence that he's better than everyone else hurts him and everyone around him.
    • Izuku, meanwhile, once again faces a system that is tailored to work against him on myriad levels, as the exercise is designed to make things significantly harder for the Villains, much like how society was prejudiced against him for being Quirkless. However, Izuku compensates for this by working incredibly hard, exploiting every chance, advantage, and loophole he's able to tease out of the system.
  • Mastermind: Rise of Anarchy: After learning about what's happening to Ochako, Eri compares the young heroine's circumstances to her own. Just like how Overhaul convinced Eri that her Quirk was evil and dirty in order to keep her in his clutches, Ochako is being manipulated by Principal Nedzu for their own selfish and self-serving ends.
  • The Scorpion Jar:
    • During his time in the US, All Might met a Navajo baker who happened to possess an impressively powerful Quirk. When he asked why he hadn't become a Pro Hero, the baker illustrated his reasoning by filling a jar with scorpions and leaving it out overnight. When the morning came, Toshinori was shocked to see that most of the scorpions had killed each other. In an interview recounting the incident, he compares it to how some Pro Heroes care more about fame, fortune, and Hero Rankings than actually protecting people, noting how this could drag everyone around them down and destroy Hero Society from within.
    • This also parallels how Izuku brings down Aldera Middle School from within: he tricks the bullies into trading him Blackmail material on their peers in exchange for homework and test answers, taking advantage of their willingness to sabotage others for their own gain. None of them realize that he might be doing the same in regards to them, until he has enough information about everyone's dirty laundry to take directly to the school board.
  • Sleeper Hit AU:
    • Both Shinsou and Hagakure benefitted from Aizawa rigging the Quirk Assessment Test: Aizawa wanted to kick a student out so that he could have Shinsou replace them, and ignored the fact that Hagakure scored the lowest so that he could boot out the Quirkless Midoriya instead. After they learn the truth, both grapple with similar feelings of inadequacy, guilt, and self-doubt, second-guessing their place at U.A. and wondering whether they truly earned or deserved it.
    • Ojirou also compares Hagakure's struggle to how he felt after Shinsou hypnotized him and led their team to victory during the Sports Festival, noting how he also felt as though he didn't deserve to have reached that point.
    • The first time that Ochako approaches Midoriya, hoping to apologize for being Innocently Insensitive in the past, he accuses her of only wanting to curry favor with him now that he's gone Pro. The exact same thing happens with his former bully Imari, with the exact same reasoning behind the Rejected Apology, drawing a parallel between how each reacts to being rebuffed.
  • Think Before You Speak: Aizawa, Tensei and Katsuki all suffer from the same issue: each of them presumes that others will agree with and share their specific perspective of events. Each is caught off-guard when reality doesn't align with their slanted point of view, and they have to deal with the consequences of their actions.
    • Aizawa's whole plan hinges on Psychological Projection. He assumes that others will agree with him that Midoriya is a Martyr Without a Cause who is ill-suited for Heroics, and intends to get him Convicted by Public Opinion by falsely blaming him for Tenya's injuries. The fact that this all hinges on Malicious Slander doesn't matter to him, as he believes others will either swallow those lies or support them despite knowing the truth, all for the sake of forcing an innocent student out of U.A. "for his own good".
    • Tensei recognizes that what he did was wrong; in fact, he knows that it's a bad idea before he does it. But he also believes that others will understand him having a Moment of Weakness motivated by his brotherly concern and frustration over what happened to Tenya. Even after learning that he'd lashed out at the wrong person thanks to Aizawa's manipulations, he clings to how he was victimized and turned into an Unwitting Pawn, hoping that will make others more sympathetic to his circumstances.
    • Katsuki honestly believes that there's nothing wrong with how he attempted to outright murder Izuku during their training exercise, simply because his intended victim was Deku. He doesn't understand why nobody considers that to be a valid excuse — after all, that was justification enough back at Aldera!

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Naruto

  • Androgyninja's A Dose of Venom opens with Sakura being denied service by a snobby tailor who takes one look at her and assumes she must be yet another "shinobi brat" who doesn't appreciate how much work goes into "civilian trades" like making and mending clothes. Sakura protests that she's a tailor's daughter, only for him to assert that's even worse: she should know better, but he judges her to be no better than her peers. This reflects how Sakura is a Child of Two Worlds who spent the previous story struggling to be recognized as a capable shinobi, only to find herself on the outskirts of both communities — still looked down upon for her humble background, but no longer accepted among civilians.
  • The Kakashi Way: Hiruzen's relationship with Danzo serves as a dark mirror of Naruto's bond with Sasuke.
    • Naruto is initially distrustful of Sasuke, both in the original timeline and when he meets "Indra". However, it doesn't take long for him to get attached to his teammate/his newfound Cool Big Bro, spurring him to staunchly defend them even when his belief is challenged. This faith ultimately pays off; despite all of his many, MANY issues, Sasuke ultimately settles on the 'Face' side of the Heel–Face Revolving Door, and as "Indra" seeks to avert much of the pain and suffering from the first-go round.
    • Hiruzen similarly believes that Danzo is a Well-Intentioned Extremist who sincerely wants nothing more than to keep Konohagakure safe at any cost. Despite knowing about his ambitions, he clings to the notion that Danzo still has standards and prioritizes Konoha's safety over all else. Unlike Naruto, this faith proves to be horribly misplaced; Danzo is more than happy to destroy anyone he sees as an obstacle, targeting the loved ones of his perceived "rivals".
    • This parallel is driven home when Hiruzen, having been forced to confront the depths of Danzo's evil, learns about Indra and berates Naruto for being too trusting. Naruto retorts that if he wasn't willing to trust others, he'd be even more alone than he already is, causing the Sandaime to fall silent.
  • Space to Breathe: Team Seven starts falling apart when Sakura becomes Ibiki's apprentice, with Hiruzen deciding to remove her entirely from the team and replace her with Kabuto. Following the Chunin Exams, Team Eight faces similar strain — their clans decide it's time to give their respective kids specialized training, and Team Eight is outright dissolved. However, this is used to underscore how much healthier and tighter-knit Team Eight is by comparison; despite no longer working together, Kiba, Hinata and Shino remain friends and make time for each other despite their different schedules. By contrast, neither Kakashi or Sasuke made any effort to reach out to Sakura after she left; even Naruto only runs into her by chance and immediately manages to offend her by being Innocently Insensitive.
  • sunflower: While Kakashi dislikes the Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist of Icha Icha Paradise, some of his innermost thoughts hint that he secretly identifies with him on some level. Specifically, he feels that neither he or the fictional protagonist actually deserve to hook up with anyone, and part of the reason he keeps re-reading the book is that he hopes to find some insight that will help him navigate his own relationship towards a romantic conclusion.
  • What You Knead:
    • The Sandaime himself directly compares Sasuke's circumstances to Kakashi as one of the reasons why he wants the latter to come out of semi-retirement in order to teach him. Kakashi fell into increasingly dark coping mechanisms after losing everyone he cared about, until he discovered the joys of baking and gradually pulled himself out of that pit. Hiruzen asks him to help Sasuke find his own way out of the darkness.
    • Tazuna hits a turning point when he witnesses Naruto and the rest of Team Seven panicking over an injured Kakashi, forcing him to recognize that the ninja he hired as bodyguards are people just like him and his fellow villagers, with their own loved ones. This leaves him incredibly guilt-stricken over how he'd treated them before. Later on, Gato witnesses a similarly emotional scene between Zabuza and Haku and is completely unmoved, mocking their pain rather than empathizing with it.
  • Your Heart a Haven of Thorns: Many years ago, Enma's arrogance and lack of regard for others cost the Monkey clan several of their vassals, who refused to follow his family any longer. As punishment, Enma's father sent him to negotiate with the Tiger clan... but Enma exploited the very fact that those vassals no longer followed them to bargain in bad faith, tricking the Elder into trading the pelt of his beloved granddaughter in exchange for a promise the Monkey clan couldn't keep. Naturally, the Tigers were outraged, but Enma's father carefully protected his son from reprisal by ensuring the Tigers could find no further fault with their clan. This reflects the arrogance Enma's chosen summoner, the Sandaime Hiruzen, displays while dealing with Sakura's new Tiger summon, Kikyō. Much like Enma before him, Hiruzen shows no true care or concern for the lives within his care, confident that he is beyond reprisal. Not only does this cost him the regard of several of Konoha's clans, with the effects rippling outward much in the same way as Enma's arrogance lost his clan the respect of their former vassals, he unintentionally voids Enma's Karma Houdini Warranty, giving the Tigers the opportunity to claim their revenge at long last.

Persona

  • A Year To Fill An Empty Home has Akira's parents experience things similar to their son's own personal growth in Persona 5, miles away in Tokyo. Just like their son, Takeshi and Chou start off the year as passive people just trying to stay out of trouble, and spend the year finding new jobs to take up their time, learning new skills, growing as people, and even making their own pseudo-Confidants and helping them improve as well, even getting Key Items from them as hallmarks of their growth. Also, when Akira is arrested at the end of the year and the Kurusus fall into despair, it is the support of their Confidants that gets them through their Darkest Hour.
