  • Four Feather Falls, despite being the first Supermarionation production by Gerry Anderson, has not received a DVD release in the United States.
  • Star Fleet was released on DVD in the UK and Australia in 2009, but if you're in the United States, better have a Region-free DVD player. Star Fleet was never aired in the US, but edited into 8 hour long compilation VHS tapes released by Classic Family Entertainment. When asked, Fabulous Films stated there are no plans for a U.S. release on their part, citing the show has no audience in the US.
    • This is no longer the case, as Discotek Media announced that they are releasing the series on DVD in December of 2016.
  • Hyokkori Hyoutanjima, despite its popularity, was never released outside of Japan. This may have something to do with most of the tapes being wiped.
  • The international co-productions based on Sesame Street see little play outside their intended markets. Sesame Workshop has put up a sampling of episodes from some of the series on Amazon Video in the United States.
    • Despite the success of the other COVID-19 specials, Elmo's World News has not aired on TV in the mainland U.S., though it has aired on American Forces Network, a channel meant for Americans stationed overseas.
  • Muppets TV was a French-language show which ran for one season on the French TV network TF1 in 2006. Despite the worldwide popularity of The Muppets, it has never been shown in any other market, possibly due to rights issues between the network and Disney.
  • Barney & Friends:
    • Surprisingly, the first three videos of Barney and the Backyard Gang (A Day At The Beach, The Backyard Show, and Three Wishes) were never released outside the United States, due to Barney's color change.
    • The only official DVD release of any pre-Season 7 episodes occured in Japan, where several episodes were released on DVD in the original English versions (to teach the language to Japanese viewers) by Pony Canyon.
