The Boys (2019)

Moral Event Horizon in this series.
  • All the worst scenes involving Homelander in this series tend to revolve around him crossing lines. His first on-screen MEH moment literally comes in the first episode, where after spending most of his screentime passing as a Knight in Shining Armor, Homelander reveals his true corruption when he assassinates the Mayor of Baltimore, his entire staff, and even his young son (who was one of his young fans), by lasering through their plane, after which he passes it off as an accident... all because the mayor tried to blackmail Vought. This is only the first of several stand-out scenes that show why out of The Seven, he's the biggest psychopath of the bunch.
    • Nearly a decade before that, he had an earlier crossing of the MEH when he raped Becca. And unlike in the comics, he actually did it.
  • A-Train can already be argued as crossing it when he accidentally killed Robin while under the influence of Compound V, but he definitely does when he kills Popclaw.
  • The Deep crosses it by extorting Starlight (among many other women) into having sex with him.
  • The Loony Fan The Deep meets crosses it by raping him.
  • Stormfront crosses it during her fight with Kimiko and Kenji. First, she kills a lot of bystanders to make it seem like a superterrorist attacked the building (the fact that her victims were all black being icing on the cake for her), and then kills Kenji while showing she enjoys the act in more ways than one.
  • The head exploding incident during the congressional hearing is this for Victoria Neuman - she doesn't just kill those who could testify against Vought, but also several others who aren't even tangentially opposed to the corporation, and even Shockwave, who by all accounts would be a loyal member of the Seven. All to render the meeting pointless.
  • Stan Edgar crosses it when it is revealed that he knew about Stormfront being a Nazi but was willing to work with her just to make a profit for Vought.
  • Soldier Boy may have crossed it when, after Black Noir confronted him over Soldier Boy preventing him from getting a role in a film, he brutally and mercilessly beat Black Noir and threatened to kill him, while the rest of Payback begs him to stop. Soldier Boy continues his abuse towards his teammates, leading them to betray him after having enough.
  • Todd's hero-worship of Homelander is at least somewhat understandable at the start, simply being an average joe brainwashed by Vought's media propaganda like so many people. Once he sees Homelander laser a man's head off, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that MM was right, and his reaction is to cheer, he loses any hint of sympathy.
