- School Bullying Is Harmless: Subverted when concerning Hanako's unnamed friend, who was bullied to such a degree she transferred to another school.

- Shrinking Violet: Kamogawa is incredibly shy and has difficulty speaking up. This is rather problematic since she's a member of the cheerleading club.
- Sleep Cute: In a manner of speaking. When Hanako first invites Hodaka up on her secret spot in the roof, she accidentally ends up taking a nap right in front of him. In order to preserve her dignity, Hodaka tries to pull her skirt back in place when the wind flutters it up, but he gets himself pulled into a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu styled Triangle Choke by Hanako while she's still sleeping. With his face and neck being clamped down against her crotch by her legs and his arm being hugged into her chest like a teddy bear or pillow, Hodaka ends up passing out. When the chapter ends, Hanako is trying to slap him back into consciousness.
- Sleeps in the Nude: Ushigome confirms that she sleeps naked while at the school trip to the beach. She notes that this is how she is most comfortable, rather than any attempt to be attractive.
- Statuesque Stunner: As mentioned above, Hanako is incredibly tall for a highschooler, with long, toned legs. This is what makes her such a stunning model.
- Theme Twin Naming: Moe Nekomiya's four year-old sisters are named Tamayo and Tamami.
