  • Doctor Doom is one of the greatest sorcerers in the Marvel Universe and also sports Powered Armor.
  • Doctor Fate not only wields sorcery of a power and diversity that rivals his nearest Marvel Universe counterpart — he also has the classic power suite of a Flying Brick, above and beyond those magical abilities.
  • Doctor Strange Depending on the Writer is either this or a Squishy Wizard, although he’s mostly this. Besides his Reality Warper abilities, Strange been trained in martial arts by Tibetan monks and he can boost his physical abilities with magic such as channeling the power of a God (which helped him give Hulk a good thrashing in World War Hulk) and he can usually bind foes far out of his weight class with his famous Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. He’s a Master Swordsmen who has access to a Cool Sword which can hurt people in their astral forms.
  • The Enchantress aka Amora is one of the most powerful magic users in Marvel and she’s even given both Strange and Loki a run for their money at times. She’s also an Asgardain woman therefore is capable of lifting well over 25 tons, in seen in Secret Wars (1984) she punches around Marvel’s heroes as easily as The Wrecking Crew and explains to She-Hulk as a God she could crush most mortals to death with her bare hands if she wanted too.
  • Ghost Rider might not be usually duking it out with the Hulk or Thor (though he is in their same power class if not stronger), but he usually fights his demonic foes physically. But he also possesses Hellfire, can reconstitute himself and heal others, and his most powerful weapon is the Penance stare. He was even a candidate for Sorcerer Supreme.
  • Grimjack is primarily a warrior, but he knows somethings about magic. He's better with guns and swords though. It's stated while he has a great deal of magical power, he doesn't have a great deal of control over the power.
  • Heroes Reborn (2021): In addition to his Super-Speed, Blur possesses the ability to see into other realms and dimensions as well as encyclopedic knowledge of all magic. Downplayed in that he doesn't use his other mystical abilities very often, as his otherworldly sight typically requires him to sit still and meditate, which is pretty difficult for him, for obvious reasons.
  • Odin Borson from Journey into Mystery , Odin father of Thor and Loki (see below) is both a formidable warrior and powerful sorcerer just like in Norse Mythology. He’s physically fought and even overpowered the likes Silver Surfer, Thanos and Galactus and Odin’s magical abilities surpass the likes of Amora the Enchantress and occasionally rivals his own son Loki’s sorcery.
  • Lady Death can possesses godlike strength and skill with melee weapons. She can also manipulate arcane forces in battle.
  • Loki a Trickster God Evil Sorcerer, whose magical prowess has helped him equal both the aforementioned Doom and Strange, Loki is really only a Squishy Wizard compared to his brother Thor. As a Frost Giant/Asgardain he can lift well over 50 tons and in a early comic destroys a building by punching it and he has frequently held his own against his brother and other heavy hitters in combat.
  • The Mighty Thor. Though his magical ability is mostly limited to Weather Manipulation, he has shown surprising proficiency with illusion magic in recent years, noting that he learned a few things while growing up with Loki.
  • Nemesis the Warlock: Nemesis is a demonic space warlock, who is more than willing to engage opponents in sword fights rather than simply use his magic against them.
  • The eponymous Spawn has a vast array of magical powers in addition to his superhuman strength and endurance. These include teleportation, necromancy, and firing blasts of necroplasmic energy.
  • X-Men:
  • Kenton of White Sand uses both sword and Sand Mastery, allowing him for greater flexibility on the battlefield than his colleagues.
