Many times in the story, jerk characters are forced to deal with the
consequences of their actions.
The Many Dates of Danny Fenton
- Every time Dash tries messing with Danny during his dates and/or tries to steal his girls, it backfires on him because the girls end up disliking him and he suffers from some form of karma.
- Vicky gets it good from Danny after he witnesses her bullying Timmy and stealing his comic book.
TMDDF: Danny and Kara
- Dash was angry that he couldn't make fun of Danny for using the dating service nor steal his dates in the previous story, so he joined the dating service for less than a week, during which every girl tells Dash to take a hike. Dash is also angry to discover that almost every girl Danny dates likes him whereas Dash could not even get one girl to like him. Even Tucker had a few good dates before he hooks up with Velma Dinkley.
- Dash tries to bully and assault Danny, only to be restrained by Kara twice. The second time, Mr. Lancer appears and Dash lies to him saying Kara attacked him; since Mr. Lancer favors him, it looks like he gets away with it, only for Kara to turn the tables on both of them by threatening to report Mr. Lancer to the superintendent and have her cousin Clark, a reporter for the Daily Planet, reveal his favoritism of the A-Listers. A few days after that, Mr. Lancer changes his mind and calls Dash's parents to inform them of their son's misbehavior, causing Dash to serve detention every day for a week. Not only that, but since Mr. Lancer and the rest of the teachers stop favoring the A-Listers, every time he or another teacher catches them bullying a student, they immediately punish them. With Dash and his friends no longer getting a free pass, he and most of the other bullying jocks are serving detention for their behavior.
- Sam keeps spying on Danny and Kara's dates, determined to prove there is something wrong with Kara. Unlike the other times Sam was jealous of other girls who like Danny, her actions were seriously called out on, with Tucker telling her that he was done helping her and Kara has done nothing wrong, and Kara threatening to tell Danny Sam was spying on them if she does that again. When Sam refuses to listen and follows them to Metropolis, she discovers that Kara is Supergirl. After the battle with Brainiac, Sam is once again called out, this time by Danny. When she finally confesses her feelings for Danny, he rejects her because he has since lost the feelings he had for Sam and fallen in love with Kara, and because Sam spied on his and Kara's dates. Danny also ends their friendship because Sam broke his trust.
- Since Dale was caught trying to sabotage Middleton High by stealing the rival team's standard football cleats, he gets himself and all the Ravens in trouble. Coach Tetslaff has Dale benched from the game, and the only reason she doesn’t punish the whole team is because there is no proof his teammates were involved. When Dash protests that they need their running back, Tetslaff fires back that actions have consequences, and he should be happy they aren't disqualifying the whole team. Tetslaff considers forfeiting as a show of good faith to Coach Barkin, but she really wants to teach the boys a lesson. As Tetslaff takes Dale to be punished, Dash realizes they have a huge handicap now while facing off against the Middleton Maddogs, who have been undefeated this whole season. The Middleton Maddogs' quarterback Brick Flagg, along with his team, are angry at the Ravens, and while Brick says he will not beat them up, he decides to save that for the field. And since the Maddogs are older than the Ravens (the Maddogs are 16 years old while the Ravens are 14 years old) and better trained, the Ravens lose the game, with the Maddogs playing roughly and humiliating the Ravens to get back at them for the attempt at cheating.
TMDDF: After Many Dates: Danny and Kim
- Chapter 51 reveals that Dash and most of the A-Listers will not be graduating because 75% of their homework was done by someone else, with the only graduate being Star. It also reveals that since Danny went public with the school favoring the A-Listers, the teachers lost their paychecks for a year, but Principal Ishiyama considered it better than being blacklisted.
- Because of Stan Smith's stupidity, he fails his mission, and in his cowardliness sells out his family and country to Thanatos. So when Stan is rescued, he is jailed for treason, and his former boss Avery Bullock loses his job as Head of the CIA because of Stan. Stan's wife Francine divorces him and reveals to him that after he lost his job, their daughter Hayley was arrested, as his position at the CIA was the only reason she was not jailed for her illegal behavior.
- Chapter 57 reveals that Paulina tried to sue Kim Possible for stealing Danny from her. Not only did her ridiculous lawsuit fail, her husband Dash and her father were furious with her. Dash filed for divorce, while Paulina's father cut off her inheritance, with only her children getting their inheritances when they turn 18 years old.
- After Danny and Kim finished college, Kim's first mission as an official Global Justice agent had her bust an illegal operation of Ed Wuncler I that, since it took place outside of Woodcrest, got his grandson and best friend, who were in charge of said operation, arrested. Ed Wuncler I tried to use his usual connections, but a new president - coupled with the world clearly siding with heroes like Danny Phantom - cut him off. As a result, his grandson and his friend were jailed, Uncle Ruckus was arrested for hate crimes, Robert Freeman was given serious repercussions for how he raised his grandsons, both of whom spent most of their days in juvenile hall, and finally he lost all his power over Woodcrest.
TMDDF: Danny Chooses Alex After the Many Dates
- Sam and Tucker both broke into Alex's aunt's house and were caught and punished by their parents. Aside from both of them getting grounded, Mr. and Mrs. Foley take away all of Tucker's technology while Mr. and Mrs. Manson cut Sam off financially (forcing her to get a job).
- After Dash and Kwan are angrily dumped by Clover and Samantha because they refuse to believe that pretty girls can be smart, they plan to take out their breakup on Danny by beating him up, but Clover and Samantha realize this and hack the mall camera, catching them in the act and getting security to take them away.
- Dash and Paulina try to prank Danny and Alex at the prom, but when their prank fails and they get caught, unlike all the other times that Mr. Lancer looked the other way because of their status as A-Listers, he punishes them because they tried to prank Danny and Alex in a public place with parents present. Later, it is revealed that since the parents threatened to sue the school for the double standard involving students because of the prank, Mr. Lancer and the other teachers have stopped favoring the A-listers. Meaning that, because of Dash and Paulina, they and all the A-Listers lost their power and privilege.
