Show us pictures that you think are examples of Accidental Nightmare Fuel.
Remember: post only things that are unintentionally scary! Otherwise, they go under Nightmare Fuel.
- Ronald McDonald◊. His original incarnation was even worse.
- Blackface. Racist and scary! Look◊ here◊.
- The Eight Most Accidentally-Terrifying Statues of Famous People.
- Old timey Thanksgiving parade balloons. Not that the newer ones can't be creepy, but yikes about the early ones. Ghostbusters (2016) featured faithful-looking ghost balloons, but if you want to talk about true, unadulterated accidental nightmare fuel with parade balloons in cinema... four words: Fun in Balloon Land.
- This picture◊ from a box of produce from "Laverstoke Park Farm". That child...
- The Real Life cartoon characters.
- Real Mr. Burns. What has been seen cannot be unseen.
- You'll never look at Charlie Brown◊ the same way again.
- The Easter Bunny◊. Really.
- Both the Santa Claus and the girl here◊ are creepy.
- This Pikachu ski mask◊, which takes a relatively upbeat video game character and combines it with the horrors of a back alleyway murderer.
- In the vein of Pokémon, here's◊ a Flareon straight out of The Mummy.
- Old Disneyland costumes could be...less than charming.
- Children's Dental Aid. Remember how creepy it was when Venom first grinned at Mary Jane? Now imagine your childhood teddy bear doing that.
- This stuffed... something◊.
- The entirety of Santa Claus (1959) is just plain creepy. Here is sample of a scene◊.
- The Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode of the movie is where the term "Nightmare Fuel" came from!
- The Garbage Pail Kids Movie is also creepy as crap. Take a look◊.
- Mr. Noseybonk, a character from an old BBC children's show titled "Jigsaw". Take a good look◊. Here's A video, just for you.
- Son of the Mask simply tried to continue its predecessor's formula of executing zany cartoon gags in real life, but the severe Special Effects Failure regarding the CGI effects has made nearly all instances of this look like an accidental Surreal Horror movie, particularly almost any time the baby becomes an Unintentional Uncanny Valley abomination prior to twisting his appearance further◊ or the Mask-dog remaining with empty eye sockets◊ after losing his eyeballs at one point. The Nostalgia Critic created a What Do You Mean, It's for Kids? Running Gag caption "A Faaaamily Picture!" when covering the movie and occasionally uses it whenever a kid-friendly piece of media shows something unintentionally horrifying or inappropriate.
- This old Valentine's Card.◊
- The Dancing Pig.◊ The costume was already creepy enough, but when it laughs...
- Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew's Lucario is strangely put into the form of a llama.◊ With a lovely faded overlay of the same image.
- This◊ scene from the Thomas & Friends episode "A Close Shave" that was... thankfully removed.
- "Dress Up Justin Beiber!" No. Hell no. Whatever that thing is, I am not touching its clothes.
- Fresh Fish◊ from Splatoon 2. COOK IT WITH GASOLINE!!
- The PreCure live action stage shows.◊ Seeing a picture is bad enough. Seeing a video in which they talk without moving their mouths and their faces are completely frozen as they move around and react to things is nightmare-inducing.
