Super Cop 2 (also known as Project S, Once A Cop, Police Story IV, and Police Story 3 Part 2) is a 1993 Hong Kong action film, a sequel to Super Cop and spin-off of the Police Story series, starring Michelle Yeoh (reprising her role as Jessica Yang from Super Cop, Louis Fan (Ricky from Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky), Yu Rong-guang and Jackie Chan as The Cameo.
After the events of Super Cop, Jessica Yang is assigned to stop a hostage crisis, where her mission had her meeting her old flame and ex-boyfriend, David Chang Fung (Yu Rong-guang), whom she left because of duty and commitments. Determined to win her back at any cost, David leaves China for Hong Kong, promising to come back a millionaire for Yang.
Later on, Yang is once again sent to Hong Kong to assist the police, when a team of ruthless mercenaries intends to break into a high security vault, and coming with her for the mission is Inspector Martin Lee (Emil Chau) and Inspector Alan Kwok (Louis Fan). Yang will reunite with David, but David is no longer who he seems to be...

tend to over-emphasize Jackie Chan’s appearance in this movie. Both minutes of it. The Japanese poster is notably honest and hilarious at the same time, featuring the part of Jackie Chan’s cameo while Disguised in Drag. - Air-Vent Passageway: In the vault finale when Roger Davidson’s men have taken over the vault, Alan had to assist Yeoh by breaking in using this method.
- Breakout Character: Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Jessica Yang from Super Cop, now as a main character.
- Bulletproof Vest: During the derelict building shootout Yang and Alan takes on an Elite Mook at the same time, culminating with Yang shooting said mook several times in his chest with her pistol. Said mook however had a vest on and plays dead to get the drop on Yang, but Alan manages to execute the mook by emptying the contents of an AK-47 into him, easily penetrating the vest and kill him for good.
- The Cameo:
- In the Action Prologue, Yukari Oshima shows up briefly as a Japanese terrorist henchwoman who fights Yang briefly.
- Jackie Chan’s character, Chan Ka-kui (from Police Story) makes a quick appearance arresting a criminal while Disguised in Drag. He’s the lady in red◊.
- Cat Fight: In the opening action scene, Yang had to do battle with various terrorists, including three henchwomen who actually put up a better fight than the mostly male mooks.
- Combat Pragmatist: Jessica Yang does this in plenty of her fights, especially being the smaller fighter in a David Versus Goliath battle against the Giant Mook, where she uses sacks of money to bash his face, jump on tables to beat him down from high point, aim for his throat while he tries to hoist her up, and know how to aim for the common male weak spot.
- Deadly Doctor: The henchman assigned to break out the informant in the hospital evacuation scene is disguised as a doctor. He notably chokes a bodyguard using what appears to be his stethoscope.
- Destination Defenestration: Jessica does this plenty in her fight scenes in the embassy and in the vault finale.
- In the finale, Alan kicks a Mook Lieutenant through a glass panel that leads to a two-storey drop onto a table. Which caves in.
- Everyone Knows Morse: While speaking to the informant who had been captured alive and restrained to a hospital, David manages to secretly let him know about the next phase of their heist… by tapping it out in Morse on his wrists.
- Giant Mook: While Alan fends off the rest of Roger’s men, Yang ends up fighting a huge, Caucasian operative roughly half a meter taller than her. She manages to subdue him briefly with a Groin Attack though.
- Grievous Bottley Harm: One of Yang’s Improvised Weapons - using an empty bottle to smash an Elite Mook in the head.
- Fake Ultimate Mook: The Scary Black Man mercenary who works for Roger has plenty of screen-time and is setting up to be a rather dangerous foe, but in the final scene he gets effortlessly beaten down by Alan. And as soon as he gets up, Roger shoots him while trying to shoot Alan.
- Heel–Face Revolving Door: David, who pretends to be collaborating with the police, but turns out to be working for Roger. But he is still dedicated to Yang and intends to betray Roger, only to have Roger betray him first. All this eventually results into…
- Heel–Face Turn: … David’s final act is a Heroic Sacrifice: closing the vault’s door causing himself to drown so that Yang and Alan can survive. Too bad for him that Redemption Equals Death…
- Hostage Situation: The Action Prologue involves Jessica infiltrating an embassy, completely taken over by terrorists.
- Janitor Impersonation Infiltration: Jessica Yang infiltrates the embassy taken over by terrorists by posing as a doctor’s assistant sent to deliver medical equipment to one of the hostages with health issues.
- Later on, Roger’s operatives infiltrate the vault while disguised as pest exterminators.
- Money Mauling: During Yang’s fight with the Giant Mook, one of her Improvised Weapons is two sacks of coins which she uses to smash his head in.
- The Mole: Turns out David Chang is working for Roger Davidson and his mooks the whole time.
- Precision F-Strike: The one and only curse word in the entire movie is in English, delivered by the Giant Mook while fighting Jessica. "Get here, you BITCH!!!"
- Priceless Ming Vase: The opening embassy fight had several of these decorating the building’s interior, and sure enough, every single one of them ends up getting smashed onscreen.
- Super Window Jump: David early on in the film after realizing an explosive is triggered near him, jumps out of a fifth-floor window just as the room he was in blows up, where he lands on a tarp held by several fire rescue personnel.
- Taking You with Me: In the finale, after Roger’s betrayal, David manages to fatally shoot Roger while wounded. Roger with his last breath detonates explosives, which causes a flood the tunnel, drowning David in the process.
- Victoria's Secret Compartment: Gender-inverted, but during Jackie Chan’s cameo disguised as a lady, Kevin Chan whips out his revolver hidden in his underpants.
- Would Hit a Girl: Most of the terrorists in the opening scene, and Roger's minions in the vault finale. To be fair, Michelle Yeoh hits back really hard...
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: The heist finale ends when Roger decides he doesn’t need David and his lieutenants anymore, and kills them all. Though David survives and eventually takes out Roger in a Mutual Kill.
