Being a video game Long Runner with many characters, Super Robot Wars is bound to have acquired loads and loads of fan-made epitaphs and monnikers.
- Ahoseru/Silly Axel - Given to Axel Almer if picked as the protagonist of Super Robot Wars Advance, where he develops a silly personality due to Amnesiac Dissonance. Ahoseru comes from spelling Axel's name in Japanese (A-ku-se-ru), and replacing one katakana (ku) with another, which constitutes the Japanese word aho meaning "silly/stupid".
- In Japan, before Super Robot Wars Original Generation 2 came out, an Advance Axel who was The Rival was referred to as "AKU-seru", where aku is written with the kanji for the Japanese word "evil".
- Asshole/Douchebag Axel - The Gameboy Advance Original Generation 2 version of Axel, where the writers seemed to dial his sadism up, to the point of douchebaggery and Flanderization.
- Angry Desu - 4chan nickname for Katina Tarask, a short-tempered pilot in Original Generation who has the same eye colors as Suiseiseki (known as "Desu"; see the Anime section).
- Annie - For Agnes Berge of Super Robot Wars UX, as a result of players knowing the names "Annie" and "Arnie" (Agnes' In-Series Nickname) are written the same in Japanese.
- Agni - An alternate monniker for players who deemed Annie "too feminine" of a nickname.
- Arios-san - A monniker for the B.B. Studios animator responsible for the more dynamic animations in the Second Super Robot Wars Z (Nu Gundam, Arios, and Gurren Lagann) and the Third Super Robot Wars Z: Jigoku-hen (Codarl).
- Banpresto Originals - An encompassing term that includes all Banpresto-/B.B. Studios-created characters and elements from any video game developed by them.
- Classic Timeline - Refers to a particular Continuity of Super Robot Wars installments prior to the Super Robot Wars Alpha saga. The games in this timeline, in order of events, are Masou Kishin Part 1, Super Robot Wars 2, Super Robot Wars 3, Super Robot Wars EX, Super Robot Wars F/F Final and Masou Kishin Part 2.
- Daitrombe/Dytrombe - Refers to the Aussenseiter, whom Ratsel Feinschmecker uses in Original Generation, particuarly when it transforms into a Mechanical Horse via "Pferd Mode"; bonus points as Ratsel's stallion is named "Trombe".
- Dat Annoying MONster - In-Universe during the Second Z duology, Dimension Beasts are given the In-Series Nickname "DAMON" ("Dimension Armed MONster"), but players spun a new gimmick from that acronym as this due to specific reasons.
- Debtman - Refers to Crowe Broust and his In-Universe ballooning debt throughout the Z saga.
- Hobo - Alternate nickname for Crowe since he's forced to Work Off the Debt, even when the Z saga is concluded.
- Devilg - Eliphas, the mecha of Xine Espio from Super Robot Wars Z, due to its resemblance to the Angelg belonging to Lamia Loveless of Advance, but twisted with Succubi designs.
- Drunk/Space Hobo - Gadlight Meonsam from Jigoku-hen, as a result of his Brilliant, but Lazy character portrait and known Drunken Master tendencies.
- Gatorade - Alternate nickname due to the loose Romanization of his name into "Gadrite", with a similar pronunciation to the same-named beverage.
- Dynamic Kill - A term commonly used by the English-speaking Super Robot Wars community referring to the extra animation played after an attack that deals enough damage to defeat an enemy, with the name itself referring to the fact that the enemy's destruction is incorporated into the attack animation itself, as opposed to the enemy appearing intact after the attack and then blowing up normally regardless of what happened to them during the actual attack animation (such as disintegration, dismemberment/bisection, blasted into space, transported to a different dimension, etc).
- Evil Travis Touchdown - For the character Shikuu in Jigoku-hen because of an uncanny resemblance to the latter. Incidentally, Shikuu's voice actor Kouichi Sakaguchi voices Destroyman in the PlayStation 3 port of No More Heroes.
- Mr. Krabs - Alternate nickname, as Shikuu wields the "Sphere of the Taciturn Crab".
- GARlion - For the Brasta in the Second Z, as a reference to its Lion-esque appearance, and being a pun on the Guarlionnote .
- Goggles - The Angelg in the Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Inspector Animated Adaptation of the second game, for doing nothing until mid-series.
- Goth Lolion - For the pair of Fairlions in Original Generation as a result of their Elegant Gothic Lolita mechanical design.
- The Holy Trinity - Refers to the triumvirate of Gundam, Mazinger Z and Getter Robo, which fans consider pivotal in nearly every licensed-Super Robot Wars title, as each franchise arguably codify the Real Robot, Super Robot and Combining/Transforming Mecha archetypes of Humongous Mecha, respectively. GaoGaiGar is usually an honorary fourth member due to it being the main representative of the Brave Series.
- The Second Holy Trinity/The Gainax Holy Trinity - As a parallel to the above, courtesy of the trio of Studio Gainax series Gunbuster, Neon Genesis Evangelion (via its Rebuild iteration) and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann upon release of Jigoku-hen.
- K's Holy Trinity - Derived from Super Robot Wars K where the trio of Van, Kira Yamato, and Mist Rex are three of the most powerful characters in the game, such that it's very common for players to have these three at the top of the kill count chart.
- Itachi - The character design of Al-Van Ranks in The Moon Dwellers: not only does Al-Van look like him, both characters share the same voice actor.
- Kenshiro - Folka Albark from Super Robot Wars Compact 3, after Original Generation Gaiden made the latter look like a walking pastiche of the former.
- King of Ruin - Name of the Leitmotif and title of Super Robot Wars Destiny Big Bad Perfectio until the Second Super Robot Wars Original Generation officially named it "Despair".
- Perfect Dad - The Japanese Ironic Nickname for Felio Radcliffe/Perfectio.
- Kuso Omega - Referring to Super Robot Wars X-Ω, this comes from the Japanese pronounciation of the letter X ("ekkusu") being similar to the word kuso ("shit", as in "poor quality"), often used as a derogatory monniker for X-Ω by 4chan users who dislike the gacha nature of the game.
- Lamia 3/Lamia Mk. III - The nickname for Lamia when she was under control of Duminuss from Super Robot Wars Reversal in Original Generation Gaiden; it's noteworthy because her personality's different and she bemeans/terrorizes her allies on purpose, to the point where she gained a bit of a hatedom. The "3/Mk. III" refers to the third time Lamia was built with a different personality: first "at birth", second after a Self-Destruct Mechanism failed to destroy her (later repaired by her creator) and third following a Big Bad Wannabe seemingly killing her, until Duminuss repairs and reformats her for its own use. She reverts back to the second form, thanks to a Heel Face Turning Axel.
- Loli-Sleigh - Despinis, one of the homunculi of Duminuss from Reversal, as she has long blue hair, similar to Sleigh Presty of Super Robot Wars Alpha 2, though none of the latter's mannerisms.
- Deathpenis - An additional joke monniker due to how her name is spelled, but not for malicious reasons.
- Ma'ke-inu ("Loser Dog") - Ibis Douglas to the Japanese fans, due to her perpetual underdog status vs. Sleigh and her relatively mediocre statistics in-game compared to the other Alpha 2 protagonists. Nowadays, this has been softened into "Wanko" ("Puppy").
- Mist-san - The Japanese nickname for Mist Rex, so named because the Japanese fans don't want to be on no honorifics basis with him.
- Nilpha - Largely coming from Japan, it's the shorthand monniker for Alpha 2 ("two" is ni in Japanese).
- Salpha - Likewise for Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 ("three" is san in Japanese).
- Not-Masaki/Vampire Masaki - Asakim Dowin of the Z saga, for being a "reverse" Expy of Masaki Andoh from Super Robot Wars 2, with a vampire-like costume design. Likewise, his mecha Shurouga is often called the "Black Cybuster". Others have gone the obvious route and taken to calling him "Alucard".
- Not-Titans - The Second Original Generation term referring to the "Gaia Sabers", due to their similarites from the story description to the same-named faction in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. In fact, this faction was speculated before the game was announced; naturally, players saw them coming a mile away due to the set up of The Federation Civil War in the previous games with the way the government was heading.
- Nia Wright/"Objection!" - Comes from the Super Move Portrait Attack of Nia during one attack for the Dai-Gurren in the Second Z
- OG Numbers - The collective heroes of Original Generation, derived from the Canon Name "Alpha Numbers" used by the heroes of the Alpha saga, until the Second Original Generation officially designated them as the Kouryu Sentai ("Steel Dragon Battle Group").
- Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Space-Time Oscillation Bomb - From the LPArchive Walk Through of Z.
- The Powerpuff/Furypuff Girls - Festenia Muse, Katia Grignarl and Melua Melna Meia from Super Robot Wars Judgment: a Blonde, Brunette, Redhead in blue, green and pink, respectively, due to obvious reasons◊.
- PP Communism - A reference to how certain Super Robot Wars installments (such as Super Robot Wars MX and the Second Original Generation) collect all "Pilot Points" earned after a play-through by adding them up and re-distributing the points evenly to all playable characters in New Game Plus.
- Princess Cow/Moo - Excellen Browning Expy Kaguya Nanbu from the Spin-Off Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier duology: white-black clothes, check; very large milk-producing parts, check; clothes that manage to reveal a lot, yet look blatantly too tight for her, check. Note her In-Series Nickname coined by Lamia Expy Aschen Blodel is "Dairy Cow Princess".
- Rapecage - Due to its cockpit configuration, it refers to the Rapiecage mecha from The Inspectors.
- Reinforcements: The Game - A derisive monniker for Judgment due to scenarios featuring infinite enemy Mook reinforcements. In reality, the game's problem isn't that it loves to spawn reinforcements, but rather Judgment has bigger maps compared to its predecessors on the Game Boy Advance, with enemy reinforcements appearing on the other side of the map where players are already congregating.
- Sauron - The Prodigium in the Third Super Robot Wars Z: Tengoku-hen, thanks to it hearkening to the character's appearance in the film trilogy.
- Sexsuko - Setsuko Ohara of Z, thanks to her character design.
- Blandsuko - A less charitable nickname in parts of 4chan and GameFAQs in the days leading up to the release of the game, given her generic qualities in every area but appearance, and sharing the protagonist spotlight with Rand Travis, before her status as Asakim's Chew Toy was apparent.
- Setsubou/Wangstuko - Additional names, with the former a play on the Japanese word zetsubou, meaning "despair". This Makes Sense In Context after playing her route in Z.
- Sexcellen - As a parallel to Setsuko, Excellen's nickname for bloody obvious reasons.
- Space Americans - A nickname for the "Hyades" forces in Tengoku-hen. Not only do they love to fight, their leader is a literal blonde-haired cowgirl with a revealing outfit and a revolver.
- Space Jews - Another 4chan nickname, this time for the "Ze Balmary Empire" of Alpha and Original Generation, mostly due to many of their Humongous Mecha and characters having recognizably Hebrew names, and given that most of the heroes' Humongous Mecha have very German names...
- Super Betrayal Wars: Betrayal Chapter - A reference to Z Interquel Rengoku-hen because any character in the story who isn't Advent, Crowe, Rand or Setsuko will inevitably backstab them or be forced out of the group. Becomes even more poignant when Advent backstabs everybody in Tengoku-hen.
- Super Isekai Wars: Super Robot Wars X, due to its Trapped in Another World plot set in an Alternate Dimension of fantasy and sorcery, a magic-oriented Original Generation and the debut of the Mashin Hero Wataru Series with its strong elements to the isekai sub-genre.
- Wataru's Bizarre Adventure: A result of the titular character of Mashin Hero having a strong case of Spotlight-Stealing Crossover, when the Original Generation of X are more akin to Supporting Protagonist for Wataru.
- Super Two Attack Wars X - A derogatory name for the game, where most secondary units from the debuting series only have two attacks compared to the protagonists of their respective series having a more complete set.
- Super Robot Wars Kagari - Coined by Japanese players due to the plot of K seemingly focused on redeeming Cagalli Yula Atha, largely being Rescued from the Scrappy Heap with loads of Day in the Limelight.
- Super Robot Wars Lazy - A derogatory nickname for Super Robot Wars L due to the large number of recycled series from previous installments on the Nintendo DS, alongside some series simply added into the game for Filler purposes.
- Super Terrorist Wars - When the cast listing for Hakai-hen was released, 2chan coined this term due to the collective presence of The Black Knights, Celestial Being, the colony Gundams and Dragon's Hive in the same game.
- Super Yamato Wars - Dubbed by the Mecha board on 4chan for Super Robot Wars V as a result of how absurdly powerful the titular unit of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is.
- The (Magnificent) Seven - The collective term for the seven Game Breakers of Masou Kishin: Coffin of the Endnote
- Ultraman Zest - True Final Boss Euzeth Gozzo and the Adamatron from the Second Original Generation, due to a Mythology Gag to the Chojin Zest from Super Hero Sakusen.
- VXT Trilogy - Nickname for V, X and T as they all share the same general aesthetics and combat systems along with being the first Super Robot Wars games to be officially released internationally.
- Wonkysoft - Derogatory nickname for the gameplay formula of the 1990s Super Robot Wars games, most of which were developed by Winkysoft. Most often used to criticize the games' Rocket-Tag Gameplay-inducing damage formula, but also regarding the glut of underpowered pilots and mecha, plus the fact that working around individually-upgraded weapons demands frugal, laser-focused resource spending.
- Yoga-tan - Radha Bairaban from Original Generation, no thanks to her over-obsession with yoga.
- Zeorymer Lite - The Rushbird from L, as a reference to the eponymous machine from Hades Project Zeorymer via the Rushbird's "Dimension Storm" attack animation.
