Fanfic / Lowrider's Phineas and Ferb Verse

Go To

We see the Summer Vacation Gang go about their adventures in the backyard. But what happens when they start finding themselves in the middle of new adventures...the adventures of falling in love?

Stories currently in this timeline, in rough chronological order

[Lowrider's P&F Verse] contains examples of:

  • The Bet: "When will Django and Adyson hook up?" among Django's male friends.
  • Big Eater: Ferb is shown to be one in "Love the One You're With". Lampshaded by Gretchen.
    • Buford is unsurprisingly one.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Big Sister Instinct: Stacy to Ginger, trying to talk her out of her Sex Equals Love plan and helping Baljeet understand why after it blows up in poor Ginger's face.
  • Birds of a Feather: Ferb and Gretchen as well as Baljeet and Ginger.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The end of Django and Adyson's relationship; they're still together and willing to do whatever they can to make it work but he's still living in California, forcing them to have a long-distance relationship.
  • Brick Joke: In "When I Come Round.", when Ginger brought up Adyson's joke about "the first rule of the Fireside Girls is that you don't talk about the Fireside Girls", Gretchen promised herself that she'd smack Adyson for it someday. When Adyson does bring it up in the aftermath of Melissa and Suzy's competition for troop leadership, Gretchen smacks her.
  • Broken Bird: Buford of all people. He's terrified of being left alone due to his Disappeared Dad and Baljeet was his only friend when they were kids which is why he tries to keep Baljeet from dating.
    • Mild example. Ginger is more deeply affected by her Disappeared Dad (and the reason he's gone) than she lets on.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Suzy; she gets over it though.
  • Cool Big Sis: Candace has settled into this role full-on by the time of her brothers' teen years after mellowing out.
  • Foreshadowing: When Baljeet finds cookies in his locker in "When I Come Around", he finds a note written in Asian characters, specifically speculated as either Chinese or Japanese. It is little surprise when his admirer turns out to be Ginger.
  • Continuity Nod: Phineas and Isabella's first kiss happens during a Love Handel concert, just like Linda and Lawrence.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Ginger and Stacy both will speak in Japanese, usually between each other or when describing each other (with Stacy using the Japanese term for "brother-in-law" as a pet name for Baljeet eventually) and Isabella occasionally speaks completely in Spanish as well as finding it incredibly sexy when Phineas does the same.
  • Heroic BSoD: Candace suffers a major one during the Wham Episode of Summer of Love.
  • The Lancer: Gretchen and Adyson shared this role in the Fireside Girls, running the troop when Isabella was lost in her Phineas daydreams.
  • Nerds Are Sexy: Teen!Baljeet in the eyes of the ten-year-old Fireside Girls, especially Ginger, in "A Day in the Life" (Ginger keeps this attitude in their teen years).
  • Noodle Incident: Buford and Milly's hooking up which happened completely off-screen.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: A lighthearted example in "Royal Rumbling Hearts". Ferb talking to anyone but Phineas for more than a few minutes is very significant.
  • Official Couple: Phinabella, Ferb/Gretchen, Baljeet/Ginger, Buford/Milly, Jeremy/Candace and Django/Adyson are all on the rooster by the end.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Buford likes "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" and isn't ashamed to admit it. By the end of the chapter where this is revealed, the same is true for Phineas, Ferb and Baljeet.
  • Recursive Fanfiction: There are two, titled A Decision Under the Sun and A Field of Passion.
  • Sex Equals Love: Ginger tries to evoke this with Baljeet. Fortunately he talks her out of it.
  • Ship Sinking: Ferbnessa is sunk hard when Ferb discovers that Vanessa is nothing like what he wants.
  • Side Bet: Turns out there was one among the gang about when Django and Adyson would hook up during "Summer of Love". Ferb wins by guessing the 4th of July cookout but ends up giving Django his winnings and telling him to use it to treat Adyson like a queen.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Sleep Cute: Between Phineas and Isabella on the plane to London.
  • Sickening Sweethearts: Phineas and Isabella.
  • Song Fic: "Passion" by Guns N' Roses is sung to Isabella and Phineas by Love Handel.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Suzy turns out to be worried that marrying Candace will make her brother forget about her. Candace assures her this won't be the case and the 2 make up.
  • Tempting Fate: To quote Phineas in "A Day in the Life" when asked if the age-swapper works on people.
"It shouldn't, but who'd want to swap their age with someone or something else anyway?"
  • There Is Only One Bed: Played straight in "Summer of Love", where Phineas and Isabella are forced to share a bed, and enjoy it.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Vanessa in "Love the One You're With" who callously dismissed Gretchen as a "step down" for Ferb, effectively ensuring his crush on her is long gone.
  • The Reveal: Django has been miserable in California, has only 2 friends there and has never had a second date.
  • True Companions: The Summer Vacation Gang which overlaps with the Fireside Girls, who are close enough to think of each other as sisters.
  • Viva Las Vegas!
  • Wham Episode: Seven Twenty-Eight PM during Summer of Love, where a tornado wrecks the backyard tree, Candace's room and the church the wedding was to occur in.
