> Nod to established continuity
Homestuck contains a truly massive amount of Continuity Nods, with nearly every page referencing another in some way, even if its not plot significant. Below is a futile attempt to list them allnote without confusing them with examples of Call-Back, Mythology Gag, Running Gag, or Stock Footage.
As with all Homestuck pages, all spoilers will be unmarked.

Act 1 to Act 4
- Dave's Malicious Misnaming was referenced by Rose in her first conversation with John.
- Before delivering John's present to Jade here, PM repeats the virtues of a Mailman like she did here.
- The Intermission ends with a word-for-word quote from the in-universe Intermission Jade read.
- Dave hatches a plan to get John to drink urine. This recalls a fear Dave had after finding a bottle of apple juice.
Act 5 Act 1
- Karkat's introduction is reminiscent of some of the kids, seeing as how he cuts the suggested name like Dave did and observes his film posters like John did.
- Karkat tells Gamzee "FRIENDSHIP ISN'T A DISEASE SHITSPONGE" just like John said "friendship isn't an emotion fucknuts."
- Karkat tells off Terezi for ripping out his toilet, which John and Rose had similar problems with.
- The narration references cotton candy as an alien delicacy, something discussed back in Act 4.
- Kanaya's greeting to Aradia resembles Karkat's first conversation with Jade.
- The narration notes FLARP's "graceful and aesthetically pleasing name," contrasting it with Sgrub's name, which is "NOT TERRIBLY ELEGANT".
- Tavros's FLARP class, Boy-Skylark, was John's from the middle of Act 3 until the end of Act 4.
- After being crippled, Tavros is left in a position that's nigh identical to Dave's posture after Bro and Dave fought, and they both essentially say "that's all there really is to say on the matter."
- Vriska gets ROBO SLAPPED by her own robotic arm, like Jade was by her Dreambot.
- Karkat's memo board is titled TEAM ADORABLOODTHIRSTY, after a joke he made to spite Terezi.
Act 5 Act 2
- John mentions his Boy-Skylark rank, which he ascended to after defeating two Shale Ogres.
- Vriska's infatuation with Nic Cage reflects Karkat's black crush on John.
- Past Karkat: Wake up is filled to the brim with Continuity Nods. The whole meteor is littered with chests filled with everything from a Tinkerbull plush to one of Feferi's brainforks from "Make Her Pay".
- Dave ponders whether the Green Sun is the size of "planet fucking jupiter" as he did regarding John's meteor in Act 1.
- "John: Enter village" contains references to shaving cream's flammability and references several jokes from the Act 4 walkaround.
- Dave tells Jade about Karkat's shipping chart from here.
- Andrew Hussie offhandedly explains what happened to his pet Falcor.
- WV's nightmare is accompanied by several strings of morse code, which translate into Jade's daring dream speech.
- "Kanaya: Return to the Core" displays evidence of several past events regarding the trolls, including the remains of Eridan's computer, Aradiabot's ashes, and the Fiduplush Vriska decapitated.
- Karkat responds to Kanaya's death by asking if her blood is another liquid of the same color as he did in response to Sollux's death.
- John items and mentions an incident at Cirque du Soleil once again.
- Butler Island is brought up, and like last time, Dave is definitely being served there.
- John believes WV is part of a cult, because WV is wearing the rags worshipped by a cult in the Salamander village.
- John and Jade discuss Karkat's shipping chart yet again.
- In Equius: Seek the highb100d, Nepeta sees Terezi's butchered Scalemates and identifies them by their established names.
- Aradia claims to be six, to Dave's dismay. Terezi did the same, to predictable confusion.
- Tavros brings some literal sick fire to Dave, as he (figuratively) promised to do.
- Sollux's suddenly gains a lisp in a Dreambubble, due to Karkat's fidgeting with his teeth.
- In a crowded dreambubble, Kanaya's shocked to see bite marks appear on Terezi's neck, something Kanaya will give to her later, from Kanaya's perspective.
- Doc Scratch has the same laughnote as his ectobiological fathernote .
- Doc Scratch mentions enjoying Rose's stories, and cites the White King as a fellow enthusiast.
- Rose attempts to understand the Scratch by comparing it to Davesprite's timeline.
- "The human emotion of friendship" is mentioned yet again.
- "Seer: Descend" contains references to John's programming book, the Grimoire, the Warweary Villein's uprising, and Karkat's shipping diagram.
- Dave's run to his brother's sword is derived from Kanaya's dash to Gamzee.
- Terezi facepalms after learning Vriska only murdered Tavros, but the game glitches and images of Rose and Spades facepalming appear.
- John annoys Karkat by bringing up his shipping diagram.
- John brings up Jadesprite and Karkat starts fumbling in quite the Freudian manner.
- John and Vriska visit John's memories and visit the lake he created upon impact.
- Vriska remembers her block as it was when she tried to infatuate Tavros.
- During Davesprite's conversation with Jadesprite, Dave's UNREAL AIR can be seen in the background.
- Karkat tells Jade "DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON THE PUPPY" in a memo, a blatant Call-Forward to when he's told "Don't turn your back on the body".
- Karkat's rant here is essentially one of Dave's replaced with Alternian terminology.
- Gamzee has had both one of the best and one of the worst rap-offs in the history of Paradox Space.
- The Handmaid's "ACTUAL SUICIDE THREAT" reflects Rose's "EMPTY SUICIDE THREAT."
- The Handmaid is told by Doc Scratch to render herself more symbolically - just like Aradia was commanded to do.
- Lord English's call to his Handmaid reflects WV's first instructions to John.
Act 6 Act 1- 5
- The opening to Act 6 ends with the John-equivalent staring at the camera while it zooms out, like in the Act 5 Act 2 opener.
- Jane's intro recalls the comic's first page.
- Calliope's introduction to Jane is very similar to Karkat's speech to Jade.
- Jane got an assortment of bunnies for her thirteenth birthday; this are the Scratched counterparts of the John's various bunnies.
- Roxy's attraction to Dad Crocker references her Pre-Scratch relationship with him.
- Jake has a thing for cerulean beauties after the Scratch and before the Scratch.
- Jake makes out with his Neytiri poster. Five acts earlier, John kissed his Liv Tyler poster.
- Jake yells that "Laughter isn't an emotion dickprince!" in the same way John yelled "friendship isn't an emotion fucknuts."
- Jake echoes Jade's feelings towards Johnny 5.
- Dirk's AR asks Jake if he wants the Brobot to rip out its uranium heart. This resembles something Vriska said in one of her tantrums and Aradia's subsequent literal attempt to rip her own heart out..
- Dirk's Auto-Responder is nicknamed AR, like the Aimless Renegade.
- Jake battles the crab lusus as silently as Karkat.
- Jane mimes a conversation with her Poppop. Jade did the same thing back in Act 3.
- Dirk and Jane discuss the dichotomy of friendship and leadership, coming to much the same conclusions as John and Rose.
- Jane observes the miracle of a new beginning, motherfucker.
- Jack greets Jane with the same politeness Spades Slick practiced.
- Turns out peanut allergies are genetic, and great for child murder!
- Bathtub in the hallway? Uh, small world.
- In his abridged Pony Pal, Strider dismisses Harley as a "product of a speech impediment by imbecile."
- Apparently, Dersite's like the headline "DEAD," which accompanied many deaths throughout Act 5 and beyond (for instance, Tavros.)
- Complacency of the Learned, before becoming a best-selling series of novels, was the name of Rose's wizard fiction.
- The Sord was one of many products Dave created at a negative expense.
- Jake gets his glasses slapped off while battling Brobot, just like during Vriska's battle with the Aradiabot.
- Jake's BARK code clearly pairs with Rose's MEOW code.
- Roxy confuses the AR by mentioning madrigogs, a typo from a conversation she just had, unlike the audience.
- Roxy's sylladex works through breaking bottles identical to the one Rose used to enter.
- Dirk describes Lil Cal as laconically as the other Strider.
- Jane very specifically refers to Jake as "not a homosexual," the same way John described himself in Act 5 Act 2.
- Jake strifes with Dirk's robot; the robot fights with many of Bro Strider's mannerisms.
- Jake's defeat by Brobot parallels Dave's defeat by his Bro.
- Dirk points out that Caliborn's syntax is familiar. Dirk is being reminded of John's first conversation with Karkat and Bro Strider's note.

- Terezi attempts to assert the Trolls' coolness, but stops after remembering the last time.

- Aranea freaks out at Meenah for skipping over their story and treats the stories of the Alternian Ancestors in the same fashion.
- Calliope theorizes about the Penis Ouija that Dave and Karkat drew.
- Calliope's sun is as oppressive as the Alternian equivalent.
- The Condesce is seen drinking Tab, a product she promotted on Alternia.
- Dirk's shades descend unto Equius, using the same command for this page.
Act 6 Intermissions 1- 5
- Hussiebot laughs like Hussie.
- Hussiebot also describes himself like Johnny 5 was previously.
- Rose's description of a human funeral is narrowly focused on Jaspers's funeral.
- It turns out that several Alternian mythological figures are based upon legends about Lord English and his Handmaid.

- The last room of the first game has the Spiritied Horse calendar.
- To the left of Mituna, one can find a chest with Game Grub in it.
- To the left of Kurloz in the second game, one can find Die's voodoo doll.
- One of Nepeta's teapots is found by Meulin.
- After finding Nepeta's claws, the narration notes how bad it would be to drag them across one's face.

- One can find the Dutton Bubble Goggles in the meteor.
- The Mayor is still keeping some cans of Tab.
- Dave recalls when the a troll rapped at him.
- Meenah finds Mindfang's journal along with Vriska's dice and rocket boots in the final room, and even puts the shoes' code in a hashtag.
- John finds the Ring of Life just like Vriska did.
- Caliborn's introduction reflects John's "wind skims the void" speech and Karkat's subversion of the same.
- Andrew almost calls Gamzee the most important character in Homestuck.
- Rose drunkenly attempts to describe the virtues of Can Town, which are quite similar to the virtues of mail.
- Vriska opens the Juju chest while the audience sees nothing, reflecting a similar moment with Calliope.
Act 6 Act 6
- Kanaya explains what a Sylph is to Dave. In doing so, she brings up her first definition.
- Dave's return to his apartment has him nod to his less focused interests.
- Dave refers to his sword as a legendary piece of shit, just like old times.
- Terezi decides to go clown hunting, hoping to be more successful than Kanaya.
- The "leprechaun romance" gag resembles a similar Wall of Text Hussie made back in Act 5 about troll romance.
- John's recap is mostly unintelligible through Roxy's disinterest, but many little nods are made out between the blahs.
- Jade mentions her admiration for the Authority Regulators, the job of the Aimless Renegade had before being exiled.
Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 5 to Act 7

- Karkat still doesn't remember the names of any of the Kids' lands.
- Karkat and Kanaya go through a discussion of Karkat's leadership and why he is designated as such.

- At 5:07 in Collide, Dirk gives Spades and Jack a thumbs down, a signature of Dave's Bro.
- At 5:24 in Collide, Dirk blocks an attack with a Zilly Santa. This nods to Dirk's desire to use a Fancy Santa in battle.
- At 5:36 in Collide, Spades gets dazed by a Fraymotif the same way he did upon getting spotted fucking around by Snowman.
- At 8:22 in Collide, Caliborn's Golden Cuestick can be seen on the ground in rifle form. He previously used the weapon during Game Over.
- At 10:06 in Collide, Caliborn opens his Juju chest just like Calliope.
