- A possible meta explanation regarding the notable difference in strength between Stromling Agents and Stromling Explorers. There are rarely more than one or two Stromling Agents on-screen at a time, and they prove very hard to defeat. Stromling Explorers almost always act as a group, leaving them as nothing more than Cannon Fodder.
- Even noticeable with common Mutant Dinos. Compare how hard it is to kill one Mutant Raptor versus an entire pack of Mutant Raptors.
- Yu-Gi-Oh! East Academy plays this straight during Caramon and Peter's tag duel against one of Apophis' cultists, in which she consistently maintains an advantage over them for nearly the entire duel.
