Eastern Expedition

In order to drive away the demons coming from the East, a group made of the strongest warriors from their respective countries allied together, calling themselves the Eastern Expedition, led by Koga Rindou. Hilarity ensues.

The Eastern Expedition in general

• Action Girl: All female members to some extend.
• Anti-Hero: With the exception of Rindou, all the members are selfish and have their own desire but they are trying to drive away the Yatsukahagi.
• My Greatest Second Chance: They are this to their home country, as the last Expedition three hundred years ago was completely curbstomped by the Yatsukahagi.
• One-Man Army: All of them have no problem at leveling mountains and tsunamis.
• Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: Each of them pursues their own goal. Because of this they almost completely lack any Teamwork, as they are too selfish to look after each other.
• The Quest: They are ordered by their country to drive the demons away in order to claim the Eastern Lands.

Sakagami Habaki

The main protagonist alongside Rindou. He and 7 other people are sent on a expedition to drive the demons from the east.

• Always Someone Better: Gets his ass kicked by Tenma Yato and only defeats him after getting a power up by Hajun and the Tumor. It is stated at the end that he and the rest of the expedition had never a chance against Yato without a power boost from both Hajun and the Tumor.
• BFS: The Sakagami Heirloom is that.
• Butt-Monkey: Get this a lot.
• Chivalrous Pervert
• Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass
• Death-Activated Superpower: His Distortion, Misogiharae - Yomotsugaeri, born from the desires "I want to live" and "I don't want to die", allows him to take his opponent's Distortion, attacks, or ability and use it to resurrect himself after he's "killed". The absorbed attack is amplified many times over, being compared to reviving 1,500 times for every 1,000 deaths, and the excess energy is reflected back at his enemy, which cannot be avoided because it twists causality so that the effect is the "karmic response of his own death".

• Enigmatic Empowering Entity: He is empowered by the Kikei Mandala, a connection that takes the power of Hajun and sends it over the Tumor to Habaki. He in turn directs some of the power to his Apoptosis Rindou, who bestows the power towards the rest of the expedition members.
• Healing Factor: Even stronger than normal Gods, as his Law focuses on healing himself, making it incredibly difficult, even for Gods to kill him.
• Good Thing You Can Heal: As his Law focuses of healing himself, he even survived getting crushed by Yato.
• Idiot Hero:
• Immortality Inducer: He is this to Rindou, since she's his apoptosis.
• Normally, I Would Be Dead Now: His Law, stemming from the desire "I want to live", allows him to survive even the most gruesome injuries. He can even survive after getting crushed by Tenma Yato or hit by Hajun's Muryou Taisuu.
• Only I Can Kill Him: He's the only character who can defeat Hajun.
• Power Level: Has at his peak a Taikyoku value of 65, making him one of the strongest Gudou Gods.

Koga Rindou

• Action Girl
• Enigmatic Empowering Entity: She recives power by the Kikei Mandala from Habaki and bestows the power towards the rest of the expedition members.
• I Know Your True Name: Her Tenma Fukumetsu.
• Nice Girl: The only person in Hajun's world who is not affected by egoism.
• Not Quite Dead: She was killed by Tenma Akuro and Morei in the beginning, but didn't actually die, since she's Habaki's apoptosis.
• Power Level: Has a Taikyoku value of 65, the same as Habaki as she is his apoptosis, who always have the same value as their partner.
• "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Her speech.

Mibu Soujiro

• Amazon Chaser: He ends up falling for Shiori due to her immense power and being able to fight with him on equal terms.
• Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Shiori.
• Blood Knight
• Cross-Dressing Voices: He is voiced by a female voice actor.
• Dude Looks Like a Lady
• Implausible Fencing Powers: He can cut a tsunami bigger than a mountain.
• Master Swordsman: He can even cut concepts.
• There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Mibu’s Taikyoku, his manifestation being “I want to become a blade that cuts all”. When activated, Soujirou becomes a literal sword, a living embodiment of the concept of cutting that can cut any and all phenomenon in the world. Not just physical aspects, but even concepts as everything will be cut by his law. With every stroke of Soujirou's sword, something will be cut, even if it is nothingness itself. Additionally even if his blade were to be warded off its intended path, the law of cutting will still land regardless of causality (making the concept of missing non-existent to Mibu).
• Torso with a View: Gets his chest blown out in his duel with Shiori. It is only thanks to him currently being a Transcendence God that he is still alive after that.
• Power Level: Has at his peak a Taikyoku value of 60, making him second to Habaki, Madara and Rindou.
• Walk on Water: He can run on water.

• Berserk Button: She hates being considered weak just because she's a woman.
• Doppelgänger Attack: Her ability summons every version of herself from all parallel worlds.
• Power is Sexy: Ultimately falls for Soujiro due to him both acknowledging her power as well as being powerful in his own right.

Madara Yakou

• Artificial Human: He was created from one of Ryuusiu´s favourite story characters.
• Blind Seer: He got his eyes burned by Tenma Morei's lightning, but this allowed him to 'see' almost everything.
• Colony Drop: One of his powers is to summon meteors.
• Power Level: Has a Taikyoku value of 65, making him equal to Rindou and Habaki
• The Omniscient: See 'Blind Seer' above.
• Third Eye: He opened it when he burned his eyes. See 'Blind Seer' above.
• There Is No Kill Like Overkill: The manifestation of Madara’s True Taikyoku, his desire being “I want to kill all”. The Law’s function is simple, as it allows Madara to simply “kill” whatever he desires, even universes.

• Reincarnation: She is the reincarnation of Eleonore von Wittenburg in Hajun's world.

Yatsukahagi

Tenma Yato and his subordinates.

A rather large group made of demons, named "Tenma" whose motives and goals are unknown. They all possess strange, otherworldly powers which can affect reality itself. They are all led by Temna Yato, the most powerful being ever seen in the lands.

Yatsukahagi in General

• Ax-Crazy: They aren´t the most sane people, although fighting a hopeless fight against Hajun for eight thousand years may not be the most healthiest thing for sanity.
• Achilles' Heel: All members hide their true names since they gained a "loser" status after losing to Hajun. Should somebody find out their true name they would have their Law crushed, which is used by Rindou's Tenma Fukumetsu.
• Action Girl: All female members to some extent.
• Batman Gambit:Their plan to defeat Hajun involves dying to the Eastern Expedition and bringing them to fight against Hajun after they learn the consequences of Yato's death.
• Black Eyes of Crazy: Every member has them.
• The Chessmaster: Almost the entire story is their plan to defeat Hajun.
• Cosmic Entity: As a Hadou God and his Legion, they can affect the entire multiverse.
• Foreshadowing: They all have Tenma^note Tenma (天魔) means Heavenly Demon in their name, foreshadowing their true nature.
• Evil Is One Big, Happy Family: They are a Team of evil demons, but are friends with each other. Justified with them being the friends of Yato, who made them into his Legion Gods during his ascension as Hadou God.
• Heroic Sacrifice: They all sacrifice themselves so that Hajun can be killed by the Eastern Expedition paving their way to Hajun.
• Immortality: They can heal almost any injury, never age and can only be killed by a stronger being than themselves.
• Leitmotif: All of them share a common theme, 祭祀一切夜叉羅刹食血肉者
• Living Relic: They are the only survivors of the world before Hajun.
• Magical Incantation: Everyone of them has one for their powers.
• Normally, I Would Be Dead Now: They are all almost dead,Hajun almost killed them and they resisted him for eight thousand years already, only alive because of Yatos Time-Stasis field. They still kick the ass of the Eastern Expedition.
• One-Man Army: Even the weakest member can finish a universe.
• Our Giants Are Bigger: Every member can summon a Kamunagra, a giant being representing the Law of the God. Although it is normal for Yato as any Hadou God can do this, it should normally impossible for the other Tenma to summon one as they are only part of Yatos Legion and not true Hadou Gods.
• Our Demons Are Different: The Eastern Expedition refers to them as Demons. They are actually Gods.
• Only Known by Their Nickname: Their names are all fake in order to hide their real name. They do this to hide the "loser" status they gained after losing to Hajun. Should somebody find out their true name, they would have their Law crushed, which is used by Rindou's Tenma Fukumetsu.
• Power Echoes: They all have more or less distorted voices, although other characters seem to share this.
• Really 700 Years Old: All of them are at least eight thousand years old.
• Red Eyes, Take Warning: Except for Tokoyo.
• Soul Power: All of their powers are powered by their own soul and also have various powers over the soul of others, including being able to harm the physical body and the soul of someone at the same time.
• Standard Evil Organization Squad: They are a group of demons the Eastern Expedition originally sets out to drive away. They are actually Good All Along and the only reason the world isn't destroyed by Hajun yet.
• Thanatos Gambit: Their plan to defeat Hajun involves letting themselves be killed by the Eastern Expedition.
• The Old Gods: They were the Gods from the previous world before Hajun.
• The Extremist Was Right: Their plan eventually works of and saves the world. But not before having massacred millions of souls, brutally beating up the Eastern Expedition in order to train them against Hajun, almost all of the multiverse being destroyed and themselves being killed off.
• Well-Intentioned Extremist: All of them. They are willing to do anything to save the world, be it throwing the human world into chaos by bringing the distortions to them, killing every human expedition towards their land and even sacrificing their own lives.

You can't reach him that way... Those words, spit them out already! If even "he" cannot overcome the law of the Sixth Heaven... Hajun... Even if I have to turn this world into hell, I will defeat you!"

"There is only one truth. Because there is a moment that must never be lost. That´s why i´ve been enduring this humiliation of surviving all by myself. In this universe where no one else is even alive."

Tenma Yato is one of the main antagonists of the story and the Leader of the Yatsukahagi who are inhabiting the Eastern Lands. He is known as Ren Fuiji, the last surviving Hadou God and former Guardian of Tasogare known as the fifth Heaven until she was killed by Hajun when he usurped the throne to become the sixth Heaven.

• Asskicking Leads to Leadership: The Leader of the Yatsukahagi and their strongest member.
• Blessed with Suck: Resisting Hajun for thousands of years made him the second strongest god to ever exist, but comes with the price. Yatos Law constantly holds the multiverse inside a time-stasis field. The world would immedeatly collapse, should time ever flow normally again, as he has so much spiritual mass that it would be like a "thin paper" (the multiverse) to support a mountain (Yato). The scale of Shinza Bansho can't keep up with Yato, even at the bottom of those on the "Almighty Domain" of Shinza.
• Barrier Maiden: He is the only reason why the world isn't destroyed by Hajun yet.
• Big Good: He is actually the one keeping the world alive although his insanity and his demonic appearance doesn't clearly make him one and paves the way for Habaki and the Eastern Expedition by giving them a fighting chance against Hajun.
• Deity of Human Origin: Yato was once a Human in Kichis world before ascending as God together with Shura.
• Determinator: He should have been instantly crushed by Hajuns Law but managed to stay more than eight thousand years alive.
• Eldritch Abomination: Yatos body is a humanoid being with grey skin, red eyes and has literal blades growing out from his back. But in truth he is like all Gods an abstract being, making this body nothing more than an manifestation of his respective law he embodies: the law of the eternal lotus moment.
• Godzilla Threshold: According to Masada, Yato could have defeated Hajun if he was truly serious and used whatever means necessary to win. However he stresses that this was very much the worst case scenario as doing so would pretty much turn the world into a living hell, hence why he wanted to put his hopes in Habaki so he wouldn't have to resort to this nuclear option.
• Good All Along: While his methods are pretty ruthless, he is still the only reason the world wasn't destroyed yet.
• Guardian of the Multiverse: He was the Guardian of the previous Throne holder until Hajun usurped it.
• Immortality: Even more than other Gods as it is incredibly hard to damage him because his Law focuses almost only on defense. Also, because of his power, only Hajun can bring enough strength to kill him.
• Last of His Kind: The only Hadou God who was not killed by Hajun.
• Leitmotif: 刹那・無間大紅蓮地獄, a more Eastern inspired version of Einsatz.
• Living Relic: He is the last remnant of Tasogares world.

• Meteor-Summoning Attack: As he has absorbed Mercurius he also gained some of his abilities, this includes the one to make it rain stars.
• Nigh-Invulnerability: The Time Armor negates any kind of change on him.
• Our Gods Are Different: As a Hadou God, he is literally a walking universe.
• Our Giants Are Bigger: Can summon a Kamunagra, a giant being representing the Law of the God. His own Kamunagra takes the form of a Naga, which is a reference to Ananta Shesha, the lord of all Nagas. It represents his relationship as guardian and partner of the fifth heaven.
• Power Level: Has an Taikyoku Value of 100, making him vastly stronger than Kichi, Shura and Tasogare and almost any other God to have ever existed. He is only second to Hajun, who has literally a Taikyoku value of infinity.
• Quality over Quantity: He is the second strongest God to have ever existed but has only eight souls in comparison to other Gods in the past who had all at least thousands of souls.
• Rage Against the Heavens: Everything Yato does goes against Hajun.
• Super-Empowering: Yato is capable of bringing absorbed souls to his level of existence as a Hadou God, making them unimaginably more powerful, and allow him to use their abilities for himself. All other Yatsukahagi members are part of his Legion.
• Story-Breaker Power: His Time Armor negates any change on him, making it almost impossible to damage him.
• Spikes of Villainy: Has blades growing out from his back.
• Star Power: More literal Example, as one of his abilities is throwing thousands of stars in a single blast.
• Stone Wall: In comparison to other Gods, as his Law focuses on defense.
• Time Stands Still: His main Power "Res Novae - Also Sprach Zarathustra", the manifestation of Yato’s Law, “I want to enjoy this moment forever” known as "The Eternal Lotus Moment". After activation, time, in all levels of existence, are completely frozen, even in areas where time in all its forms does not exist (such as the Throne). This puts a complete stop to everything in existence, weather it is a simple action, manipulation of reality, or so on except Yato should allow it. This passive ability also appears through an extension known as “Time Armor”, where Yato is also capable of completely negating change (making all damage done to him effectively null unless the opponent's power is equal to or outright exceeds Yato's). The Time Armor even allowed him to survive Hajun’s attack on the throne and halt his Law from being completed for over 8,000 years. Also known as the Crimson Lotus Hell by the Eastern Expedition, since it is feared how it puts the entire world into eternal stagnation again, should it ever be fully manifested.
• There's No Kill like Overkill: Condensed once thousands of stars into a single blast just to finish of a fleet.

• Ret-Gone: His Power allows him to erase anyone who has seen his face or is hit by him.
• One-Hit Kill: His Law, stemming from the desire “I want to die with a single end”. His Punches have the effect of erasing the existence of their target as long as they have a history (Which can include every single second of one's life, and works on material and immaterial beings, and even inanimate objects). This even applies to concepts (As they have existed since the Big Bang).
• Our Gods Are Different: He is a Legion God, a soul absorbed by Yato and boosted to the same level of existence, making him a part of Yato.
• Our Giants Are Bigger: Can summon a Kamunagra, a giant being representing the Law of the God. His Kamunagra takes the form of a three headed monster.
• There's No Kill like Overkill: He is the very essence of pure nothingness, and is required to wear armor to restrict it. If his helmet were to ever be removed, those who look into his eyes will meet their end, regardless if they are abstract, acasual or something similar. Even with his helmet on, his fists still carry the existence erasing properties of his Taikyoku.

A friend from the early times of Tenma Yato, Sukuna is one of the closest friends to Yato. Despite that he is often isolated from the other Yatsukahagi members due to him being the apoptosis of Yato, fearing he might one day destroy Yato.

• Abstract Apotheosis: He is Ren's apoptosis, a soul inside a gods mandala that has a conflicting desire that represents a gods inner conflict, being the one to urge change in Yato's Law of absolute stagnation.
• Achilles' Heel: While his Law can negate anything supernatural, once he is opposed with a completely normal human his Law will backfire on him.
• Anti-Magic: His Taikyoku Law, Malignant Tumor Apoptosis,can limit any being to the level of an ordinary human.
• Invisible Means Undodgeable: Malignant Tumor Apoptosis, once activated, will always affect his target. The only way to escape the ability is to be stronger than the user.

• Our Giants Are Bigger: Can summon a Kamunagra, a giant being representing the Law of the God. Her Kamunagra takes the form of a giant Worm covered in faces.
• White Mage: She keeps Yato alive, who in turn prevents the universe from destruction.
