- Not Quite Daily Comic: Parodied in episode 119
, complete with Bilingual Bonus in (broken) Chinese and explicit use of "Do not want."
- Made fun of in The Perry Bible Fellowship. The Schlorbians' English really "socks".◊
- Whispy from Asperchu talks entirely in Blind Idiot Translated Spanish. Possibly deliberate, as Whispy is described as "slow in the minds" when he is first introduced.
- Ghastly's Ghastly Comic: In one strip, Japanese company Goodbye Pussy discovered that they English translation "was not adequately elegant" and thus their product was released with "Warranty assurance three years. Not for children" translated into "Not recommended for 3 years and under". The kicker is that the product was a BIG dildo. Hey, it's Ghastly's, after all.
- Done in-universe in Sinfest when sexy Monique finds a Scandinavian fansite dedicated to her and lets a website translate: "'Nique has owning for universal buttocks. Her today please to scandal buckets of infinite pony. Real jubilate to freshness!"
- Juan Valdés in Captain SNES: The Game Masta speaks in computer-translated Spanish, as the author outright admits he doesn't know Spanish. That works for short comments, but any decent sentence sounds awkward.
- What's New? with Phil and Dixie in their 'Magic' cards period explored the possibilities of trading card game translation.
- Parodied in Generic Title: One strip features mangled German - the author is German himself.
- Parodied in Megatokyo when Largo invents a Japanese to English translation device that mistranslates everything into random sexual phrases. He fixes later however, and it's been working flawlessly ever since. It didn't help that he believed that "strength in numbers" would apply with translation software, from the best to the Babelfish.
- Dragon Ball Multiverse: Chapter 27, for some reason, had unexpectedly some moments of this, such as calling the scouters "detectors", but it reached its top in page 593, where Yamcha's line "Enough, Tenshinhan, stopped!" could be found. It has since been corrected, although you can look how it was here. Overall, the comic is perfectly readable, but it is very obvious that the authors aren't native English speakers.
- The first season of Dragon Ball Reboot is rife with this as the fan manga was originally written in Spanish, and the author's early attempts to translate it into English were awkward to say the least. Confusing dialogue caused by mistranslations, questions featuring upside down question marks, and names sometimes starting with lowercase letters could be found everywhere. This has largely improved by the second season thanks to the author having brought in external help to translate the fan comic for him.
- In Tigress Queen, Kizarasunga's name is originally translated as "a lovely fire-colored threat". This turns out to be over-literal; the word in her language for "passion" breaks down as "pretty fire", and her name actually means "passionate threat".
