All of the Power Rangers are badass butt-kicking Five-Man Teams. But where do they get their powers from? Leave this to the big goods.
Zordon Era
- Zordon doesn't have an entire era of Power Rangers history named after him for nothing. Zordon was the big good of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo and Power Rangers in Space. Even in the latter two season, where he wasn't actively mentoring the team, he still had great influence over the story. At the finale of Power Rangers In Space, Zordon pulls out the ultimate sacrifice, releasing the Z-Wave to remove all of the evil forces in the galaxy - at the cost of his life.
- Season 3 of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers introduces Ninjor, the creator of the power coins who becomes an ally of the power rangers and often assists them in battles.
- In Power Rangers Turbo, Zordon is replaced by Dimitria from planet Inquiris as the mentor of the Turbo Rangers, while he goes to fight for his home planet of Eltar. He's captured by Dark Specter in Power Rangers in Space, so the Space Rangers set to find him.
- After the Zordon Era, Jason Lee Scott, the original Red Ranger, and Tommy Oliver, the original Sixth Ranger, have both led all of the power rangers in various crossover events, with both of them leading eight succeeding red rangers in "Wild Force"'s "Forever Red", and with Tommy leading every single Power Ranger in the "Super Megaforce"'s "Legendary Battle" and in "Ninja Steel"'s "Dimensions in Danger".
Post-Zordon Saban Era
- Power Rangers Lost Galaxy has a strange example: The captain of Terra Venture, Commander Stanton, and his superiors, Aren't involved in any way with the Lost Galaxy Rangers, nor they know their civilian identities, but they move the story forward with their objective of finding a new planet to settle on.
- Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue :
- Captain William Mitchell is a former firefighter and the head of the Lightspeed Aqua Base. He's also the father of the Pink Lightspeed Ranger, Dana and of the Titanium Ranger, Ryan.
- Alongside Captain Mitchell serves Miss Angela Fairweather, who created the entirety of the Lightspeed Rangers' arsenal, from their Morphers to their Zords.
- Power Rangers Time Force: The series doesn't have a big good. The closest candidate would be Captain Logan, but he only appears in four episodes of the show and doesn't support the Time Force Rangers with anything except for sending their Zords to the present whenever needed.
- Power Rangers Wild Force:
- Princess Shayla is the princess of Animaria and the mentor of the Wild Force Rangers.
- Animus is the god of Animaria, home of the Wild Zords. He takes the form of a giant Megazord.
Disney Era
- Power Rangers Ninja Storm:
- Sensei Kenoi Watanabe is the mentor of the Wind Rangers and the father of Cam Watanabe. He's turned into a Guinea pig by the Big Bad, Lothor who's also his brother.
- Cameron "Cam" Watanabe, Sensei Watanabe's son, is the technical advisor of the Ninja Storm Rangers, and the creator of their zords. He later became the Green Samurai Ranger and creates a robotic duplicate, Cyber Cam, to replace him as the technical advisor.
- Power Rangers: Dino Thunder:
- Power Rangers S.P.D.:
- Anubis "Doggie" Cruger is the commander of S.P.D.'s Earth Base. He later becomes the S.P.D. Shadow Ranger.
- Kat Manx is the technical support of S.P.D.'s Earth Base, and the creator of many of the B-Squad Rangers' weapons. For a single episode, she becomes the S.P.D. Kat Ranger.
- Supreme Commander Fowler Birdie is Doggie's superior and the commander of S.P.D. as a whole.
- Power Rangers Mystic Force:
- Udonna/Mystic Force White Ranger is the mentor of the Mystic Force Rangers. She's also the red ranger's mother.
- Mystic Mother is the empress of all good magic. She's actually Rita Repulsa, the Big Bad of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, who was purified by Zordon's Z-Wave.
- Power Rangers Operation Overdrive:
- Andrew Hartford is the billionaire mentor of the Overdrive Rangers. He was originally supposed to be the Red Ranger of the team, but gave his Morpher to his son, Mack Hartford.
- The Sentinel Knight is the ancient guardian of the Corona Aurora. He joins the Overdrive Rangers in their battle for the Corona Aurora, and can also become the Red Ranger's Battlizer.
- Power Rangers Jungle Fury:
- Robert James is the mentor of the Jungle Fury Rangers. He later becomes the Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger, mastering the fighting style of the wolf.
- The Pai Zhuq Masters are seven anthropomorphic animals that master different fighting styles. One of them, Master Mao, was the Jungle Fury Rangers' former mentor. The other three (Master Phant, Master Swoop, and Master Finn) Join the team as the Jungle Fury Spirit Ranges, and the rest of them (Master Rilla, Master Guin and Master Lope) pass their powers to the Red, Yellow and Blue Rangers, respectively.
- Power Rangers RPM: Dr. K is a Child Prodigy and the mentor of the Ranger Operators, creating their powers and Zords. She's also responsible for the creation of the show's Big Bad, the Venjix Virus.
Neo Saban Era
- Power Rangers Samurai: Mentor Ji is the mentor of the Samurai Rangers.
- Power Rangers Megaforce:
- Gosei is the mentor of the Megaforce (Later Super Megaforce) and the successor of Zordon, bearing heavy similarity to him.
- Robo Knight is a robot created by Gosei to protect the earth. He can transform into the Lion Zord and becomes the Megaforce Rangers' Sixth Ranger.
- Power Rangers Dino Charge:
- Keeper is the alien mentor of the Dino Charge Rangers and the guardian of the Energems.
- Kendall Morgan is a lead scientist at the Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum, and the technical advisor of the Dino Charge Ranger. She later becomes the second Dino Charge Purple Ranger, inheriting her powers from Albert Smith.
- Power Rangers Ninja Steel:
- Mick Kanic is the shapeshifting mentor of the Ninja Steel Rangers. He later becomes an additional Ninja Steel Red Ranger.
Hasbro Era
- Power Rangers Beast Morphers:
- Commander Shaw is the head of Grid Battleforce and the Blue Ranger's mother.
- Nate Silva is the creator of the Morph-X substance and the technological advisor of the Grid Battleforce Rangers. He later becomes the Grid Battleforce Golden Ranger, with his Beast Bot, Steel, becoming the Silver Ranger.
- Power Rangers Dino Fury/Power Rangers Cosmic Fury:
- Solon is the Solonosaurus mentor of the Dino Fury (Later Cosmic Fury) Rangers.
- The Morphin Masters are the protectors of the Morphing Grid.
- Billy Cranston, the Mighty Morphin' Blue Rangers, returns in Cosmic Fury as a mentor of the Cosmic Fury Rangers.
