This marks the first time in ten years that another character from Darkstalkers rather than Morrigan appears in a Capcom crossover.^note And just to be clear: SvC Chaos (which featured Demitri) was made by SNK, Namco × Capcom (several) was made by Namco, Cross Edge (several) was made by Compile Heart, and Capcom Fighting Jam (Felicia, Anakaris, Demitri, Jedah and Pyron) isn't part of the Capcom vs. series.

While there is some hostility towards the inclusion of the "dreadlocks, wifebeater, and jeans" incarnation of Spencer from the Darker and Edgier 2009 game over his classic depiction, most are glad that the series is finally getting some long overdue representation.

We'll never speak of this conversation again.
• AND PHOENIX. WRIGHT. The fandom has been BEGGING for this. The addition of Frank is pretty sweet too.
  • Even more rejoicing when "Turnabout Mode" was revealed, considering it triggers the most EPIC MUSIC from the Phoenix Saga of Ace Attorney. And again when someone worked out Turnabout Mode + X-Factor + Level 3 Hyper = One-Hit Kill.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

• After a week of rumors, the supposed Marvel vs. Capcom 4 was finally officially confirmed as Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
  • And the very first character they confirmed? MEGA. MAN. X. It was as if the audience were staring into the face of God.
  • And the second new character they confirmed? Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel! The fandom got giddy when she showed up.
• During the E3 2017 Story Trailer, it was revealed that one of the first 6 DLC Characters alongside Sigma was none other then Black Panther! YAHOO!
  • Speaking of DLC, the rest seems pretty good. We have Black Widow, a Monster Hunter...wait a minute. Venom's coming back?! After being omitted from MVC3?! SOLD! Time to kick some Spider-arse again!
• When the game was shown off at EVO 2017, it was revealed that Jedah Dohma is in the game. Yeah, that's right, JEDAH FREAKING DOHMA is a playable character!
• They put in the fan-favorite X vs Zero Theme from Mega Man X5!

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

• Frank West and Zero in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars instantly convinced hordes of people who did not care about the game in the first place to buy a copy.
• So, good news and bad news about the character roster; the bad news is that Hakushon Daimaō has been removed from the roster due to licensing issues (So if you care about him, tough). The good news is we got Tekkaman Blade!!

Street Fighter X Tekken

• There were rumors, as crazy as they may seem, but at San Diego Comic-Con 2010 they were confirmed when producer Katsuhiro Harada joined Yoshinori Ono on stage...Street Fighter. Versus Tekken. In a game called, appropriately enough, Street Fighter X Tekken. And then they actually played a round of Ryu vs. Kazuya and, despite all odds, it looked to fit together fairly well. Then came the tag team Ultra Comboes and the room erupted in cheers.
• Supposedly there will be two different versions of the game. The one shown at Comic-Con with the SF gameplay (Street Fighter x Tekken), and the other version being made with Tekken gameplay (Tekken x Street Fighter).
• Guile? Dhalsim? Yawn, seen it all befo-wait a minute, pink hair, a police hat, red heels...POISON?!? Finally playable at long last!
• And then Rolento was confirmed.
