Context YMMV / QTMod

Go To

* AdaptationalDisplacement: While QT and KB are created for this mod, Ashley and the story of Brutality Labs are created for [[https://soundcloud.com/gas-hazard-hazard24/brutality-crossfade-preview an album]] (although the story was bare-bones and incomplete at the time). In fact, it was made months before ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' was created.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: You can't go wrong in a ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' GameMod, after all!
** Carefree is, as the name suggests, carefree-sounding. It's just QT and Boyfriend having fun singing.
** While Termination is brutal, at least the music rocks. The ticking clock in the background and the sense of danger cements this as a fitting song to dodge sawblades to.
** The reward for beating Termination is a song called Cessation. This one is as cheery as Carefree, with the added bonus of being a remix of this mod's already cheerful title theme and KB singing alongside QT. They even have a duet! It becomes [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments heartwarming]] once you realize that KB's blue eyes means he did a HeelFaceTurn in-between the events of the week and this song.
* CargoShip: For some reason, people in Hazardous' Discord server jokingly ship KB with a microwave, despite KB being canonically aromantic.
* CommonKnowledge: Due to the obscurity of the information that disproves it, many believe that Amelia is the one singing "Interlope" when it's actually Ashley who does—Amelia is the woman that appears to taunt you from time to time.
* ItWasHisSled: Virtually everyone knows that QT is a RidiculouslyHumanRobot and of [[WalkingSpoiler KB's existence]], mostly due to the sheer difficulty of "Termination" where you rap-battle against the latter.
* ParanoiaFuel: Seeing Amelia's red eyes make people insane. You (and to an extent, Ashley) saw her eyes in "Interlope". Who's to say you/Ashley have already went mad?
* SurpriseDifficulty: There is a reason why the description of the mod warns you of this, as Censory Overload is a [[{{Understatement}} step higher in difficulty]] than the previous song, Careless, even if it acts as an {{Antepiece}} to its hardest parts. The main reason is that its 190 BPM is ''way'' faster compared to Careless' 110 BPM, the amount of doubles it gives you in a short time, and as of the 2.0 update, the hurt notes scattered around the chart. Combine them all, and you have a chart that tests your reflexes and chart reading. And don't get us started on [[ThatOneLevel Termination...]]
* ThatOneLevel: [[BrutalBonusLevel Termination]], which was created as a NintendoHard [[JokeLevel joke song]]. [[MarathonLevel It's just over five minutes long, which is nearly double the length of most songs in both the main game and mods similar to this one.]] There are lots of double notes in the chart, something that isn't found in many mods at the time. It's also filled with InterfaceScrew, with your buttons being swapped around and fog emerging from your screen. [[SarcasmMode And the best part?]] There are a lot of OneHitKill sawblades that you have to avoid, and the only way to do that is by paying close attention to the music. The sawblades alone make the aforementioned InterfaceScrew and charting patterns look like ''inconveniences.''
** While the 2.0 version changed the mechanics of the sawblades, they might be ''worse'' than the original. While they aren't OneHitKill anymore, they do take a lot of your health and also decrease your max HP. Not only that, it has been recharted to have more double notes ''and'' have damage notes, so you might get a lot of DamnYouMuscleMemory moments.
* TheWoobie:
** The very fact that QT doesn't ''want'' to harm Boyfriend, but KillerRobot KB [[ForcedIntoEvil forced her to]] just makes you want to give her a hug. What's worse is that QT will experience extreme pain if the two are separated, meaning she's basically permanently stuck with a killer robot. No wonder [[IJustWantToBeNormal she wants to live a semi-normal life.]]
** The story of Interlope's singer, only told through [[AllThereInTheManual supplementary material]], probably takes the cake. Her name is Ashley, and she is a scientist in Brutality Labs, QT and KB's birthplace. The stressful nature of the laboratory, combined with hanging bodies being a common sight, turned her from an idealistic scientist into a depressed one. Not only that, something is trying to get into her head, making her feel like a puppet. [[TraumaCongaLine And then]], her beloved leader Amelia dies, and the laboratory burns down, leaving her to be one of the survivors. She eventually gives in to the entity's DemonicPossession, who is implied to be KB's final target. No wonder she became insane in the present day.
