''Pooh's Heffalump Movie'' is a 2005 Creator/DisneyToonStudios film in the ''Franchise/WinnieThePooh'' franchise.

When Pooh and his friends hear strange noises and find mysterious footprints, Rabbit comes to the ultimate conclusion it was a heffalump, and is out there somewhere. The gang goes to Heffalump Hollow, a mysterious forest known to be home to heffalumps. Once there, Roo manages to find a heffalump himself -- a little one named Lumpy, and discovers he isn't as bad as the others thought, and the two become best friends. But it'll take lots of convincing if Roo wants to prove to the others that he's right.

The movie has a direct-to-video sequel, ''WesternAnimation/PoohsHeffalumpHalloweenMovie'', which came out later that year.

! ''Pooh's Heffalump Movie'' contains examples of:
* AdaptationalHeroism: In previous Disney works, particularly ''WesternAnimation/TheNewAdventuresOfWinnieThePooh'', heffalumps are depicted as mischievous or outright {{Cruel Elephant}}s that steal honey. This film reimagines them as misunderstood {{Honorable Elephant}}s. Though, notably, ''New Adventures'' did have a family of friendly heffalumps as well.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: This bit from "The Horribly Hazardous Heffalumps!"
-->'''Chorus''': They'll steal all your honey and eat your last crust\
They'll stomp on your house till it's nothing but dust\
The worst part of all is...\
'''Roo''': ...they’re... different from us?
* BreakingOldTrends: Unlike other ''Winnie the Pooh'' works that featured narration, this film has Pooh as the narrator.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: The film introduces Lumpy [a Heffalump] and his mother to the world. Mama Heffalump is more down to earth and sane, much like Kanga. Her son, however, could give even Tigger a run for his money.
-->'''Tigger:''' It's a swimming pool! ''(pointing at Mama Heffalump's footprint early in the movie)''
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Piglet accidentally captures Rabbit in a net, mistaking him for a heffalump. Rabbit is not amused:
-->'''Piglet:''' Pooh, have you noticed that heffalumps look a lot like rabbits?\
'''Rabbit:''':''(in full TranquilFury mode, folding his arms inside net)'' And why do you think that is, Piglet? ''(Rabbit's ears pop out)''\
'''Piglet:''' Oh d-d-d-d-dear! The heffalump knows my name!
* CopycatMockery: As Rabbit outlines his plan for the heffalump "expotition," Tigger stands [[FunnyBackgroundEvent behind and to the left of him]], copying his mannerisms note for note, then moves to making crazy faces and motions, until Rabbit realizes what he is doing and gives him a DeathGlare.
* CreativeClosingCredits: The credits feature scenes of the heffalumps getting to know the other characters and the Hundred Acre Wood. Among these is a scene of Christopher Robin and Lumpy meeting for the first time, as Christopher Robin doesn't appear in the main film.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Despite what the title suggests, the main character actually isn't Pooh, but Roo.
* DemotedToExtra: Despite Pooh's name in the title, he plays a bit part in this movie, which serves more as Roo's feature length [[ADayInTheLimelight Day In The Limelight]]. Eeyore as well as after the gang enters the Heffalump Hollow, he gets separated from them and only makes a few appearances before finally reuniting with the gang during the credits where he gets to meet Lumpy.
* DisneyAcidSequence: "The Horribly Hazardous Heffalumps" has rather trippy visuals and seems to have been inspired by the classic "Heffalumps and Woozles."
* FantasticRacism: Overcoming this is the essential plot point of this film, in which Pooh and the gang learn that the heffalumps of Heffalump Forest ''aren't'' monsters that are out to eat all of their honey & destroy the Hundred Acre Wood and ''don't'' have fiery eyes, tails with spikes, or "wingamathings" on their backs. Well, that and the joy that Roo (who never bought into most of that) finds in discovering a best friend in Lumpy.
** In fact, this verse of "The Horribly Hazardous Heffalumps!" pretty much confirms this:
-->'''Chorus:''' The worst part of all is...\
'''Roo:''' ...they’re different from us?
* FriendshipSong: Two of the songs in the film are about the friendship between Lumpy and Roo: "Shoulder to Shoulder" (which goes over the scene of them playing together after Roo originally "captures" Lumpy) and "The Name Game" (which consists of the two goofing off by turning their names into silly nicknames).
* GladIThoughtOfIt: Roo proposes the "expotition" to capture a heffalump. Rabbit agrees that it's a great idea, takes credit for it, then bans Roo from going because it's too dangerous for a little kid like him.
-->'''Rabbit''': Oh, yes, the first heffalump expedition in history. Splendid idea. Glad I thought of it.
* {{Irony}}: Rabbit doesn't let Roo join him and the others on the heffalump expedition out of concern for his safety (even though Roo suggested it in the first place, which is irony in itself), yet the little kangaroo wanders off to hunt one on his own. No guesses as to who captures a heffalump in record time and who ends up struggling throughout the expedition.
* IWantMyMommy:
** Roo "captures" the heffalump Lumpy, but later releases him. Lumpy has been hearing his mother calling and wants to go home to her, but Roo wants him to meet his friends first. They can't find any of his friends because they're all off in Heffalump Hollow themselves trying to capture a heffalump. So Roo tries to get Lumpy back to his mother, but with every step they take, the calls seem to get further away, until finally they can't hear her anymore. Lumpy is upset and Roo sings him a small reprise of the "Little Mister Roo" song sung to him by Kanga earlier in the film. It doesn't really help Lumpy to cheer up much.
--->'''Lumpy''': (''slumping on a log'') I want my mum.
--->'''Roo''': Me too...[[EurekaMoment Wait! My mom! She'll know what to do! Come on!]]
** Slightly later on, Lumpy is caught in the heffalump trap that Rabbit and the others made.
--->'''Roo''': I'm so sorry. This is all my fault.
--->'''Lumpy''': (''sobbing'') I want my mummy.
* NeverTrustATitle: Despite Pooh's name in the title, the movie mostly revolves around Roo.
* NightmareFetishist: Roo is actually ''fascinated'' with the features described about the heffalumps. He even happily sings along with the choir at one point during "The Horribly Hazardous Heffalumps!"
* NotSoDifferentRemark: Roo explains this when telling the others why they shouldn't be afraid of the heffalumps. They like honey, just like Pooh. They get scared, like Piglet. Lumpy even learned how to bounce, just like Tigger. [[SnubByOmission Poor Rabbit is left out]], though the credits show Lumpy and the other Heffalumps partaking in his hobbies as well.
* OverlyLongName: Lumpy's real name is Heffridge Trumpler Brompet Heffalump IV.
* ParentalLoveSong: Kanga sings a lullaby called "Little Mr. Roo" about her son's eagerness, telling him gently to try not to grow up too fast.
-->''"Little Mr. Roo/Reaching for the moon"''
* PatterSong: "The Horribly Hazardous Heffalumps"
* PrejudiceAesop: The movie reveals that the Hundred Acre Wood citizens were misguided in their fear of Heffalumps. Roo befriends a Heffalump boy named Lumpy and the characters learn that Heffalumps are harmless.
* RealAfterAll: The heffalumps. They were also real in ''WesternAnimation/TheNewAdventuresOfWinnieThePooh''.
* SkywardScream: Courtesy of Piglet. ''"WE'RE LOST!!!!!!"''
* SleepMask: Piglet is wearing one when startled out of bed in the film's opening.
* SomeCallMeTim: Lumpy's full name is Heffridge Trumpeter Bumpet Heffalump IV, but he (usually) can't remember it, so everyone calls him Lumpy.
* TalkingInYourSleep: The film opens with Pooh saying "Honey, honey" in his sleep before being startled awake by the Heffalump call.
* ThisCannotBe: While Piglet, Pooh, and Tigger [[HeelRealization quickly see how wrong they were to judge heffalumps]] as Roo tells them, Rabbit is the most reluctant to accept that he was wrong, and briefly refuses to let go of Lumpy.
