The Dog & Pony Show is a Canadian AnimatedSeries created by Josh Selig (WesternAnimation/WonderPets, Series/Oobi). The series premiered on Creator/TreehouseTV in Canada on September 5, 2020 as a production from Creator/Nelvana through their joint venture with Discovery Kids Latin America known as Redknot (which also brought about another Treehouse TV cartoon, WesternAnimation/AgentBinkyPetsOfTheUniverse).

The show stars the titular duo, ADogNamedDog an anthropomorphic dog and pony from the MagicalLand of Rainbow Fjord. As the Theme Tune states, they grew bored with life at their home, and decided to leave and find a new place to live. They eventually found it in Unicity, a mundane city populated entirely by humans. Deciding Unicity to be the perfect place for them, they settle in and start anew there.

!!Tropes featured in The Dog & Pony Show include:
* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: Pony is blue, and has a pink mane.
* Balloonacy: One episode involves Lily Bud being carried away by a balloon, and Dog and Pony using a hot air balloon to go after her.
* BlackDotPupils: Most of the main cast of the show have these.
* TheDandy: Pony, who generally takes good care of his looks, and whenever he wears any costumes, they're fancy, intricate and fashionable.
* ADogNamedDog: And also a pony named "Pony".
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: The ThemeTune was sung by Dog and Pony (with a spoken line provided by Misty).
* TheEponymousShow / NameAndName: The title combines both of these tropes, it being "The Dog & Pony Show" and all.
* ExpositoryThemeTune: The ThemeTune explains the premise perfectly; Dog and Pony used to live in a magical land, but were feeling bored, so they decided to move to a not-so-magical city.
* FreakyFridayFlip: Dog and Pony end up switching bodies in an episode involving a costume party. When Jonas sees Dog and Pony in each others' bodies, he assumes they dressed up as each other.
* FurryReminder: Dog. He's been seen chasing after a squirrel and barking in one episode, and shaking off water after he gets wet in another one.
* HatedHometown: Dog and Pony were rather bored of their hometown, Rainbow Fjord (even though to the audience it would look like the most exciting place ever). They move to Unicity because they like how average and different the town is (or was, until these two stepped in).
* MarketBasedTitle: While most dub titles of the show tend to avert this by leaving the show's title exactly the same, in Spain the show is known as "The Adventures of Dog and Pony".
* MediumBlending: The characters are animated in 2D, while the rest of Unicity is in CGI.
* PinkIsFeminine: Piki, one of Dog and Pony's friends from Rainbow Fjord, has a pink mane and coat, and is a GirlyGirl through and through.
* RhymesOnADime: In "Super-Duper-Intendents!", when Dog and Pony become building superintendents, Pony's magic ends up bringing the building to life. When it does, it speaks in rhymes.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Pony and Dog, respectively. It's particularly made obvious in their choice of clothes, with Pony's being stylish while Dog's is rugged.
* StrictlyFormula: A typical episode plot goes as follows; Dog and Pony perform some task to improve the Unicity citizens' lives, but end up having difficulty accomplishing it, so Pony offers to use his magic bottom (which Dog initially shows reluctance to). The effect of Pony's magic goes out of control, then after it's fixed they use a MundaneSolution to resolve the initial task.
* TimeTravelEpisode: "The House Sitters!" involves Pony using his magic bottom to try and take himself and Dog back in time to before they made a mess of Jonas' apartment. They end up being sent back & forth across time.
* TitleThemeTune: "We're Dog and Pony / We're new in town, you know / We're Dog and Pony / On the Dog & Pony Show!"
* ToweringFlower: In "Into The Weeds!", Dog & Pony decide to take up gardening, but their plants aren't growing as quickly as they would like. Pony decides to use his magic bottom to speed up the process, and the plants shoot up 12 feet... unfortunately, so do the weeds.
* WrapUpSong: At the end of each episode, Dog and Pony sing the last part of the ThemeTune in a slower cadence.
