!Tropes:
* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: Sharky is a bright pink shark.
* AwesomeUnderwaterWorld: to the point that it trumps ''WesternAnimation/FishPolice'' for the title. Seacago is a bustling underwater city.
* BuddyCopShow: An undersea variant, Sharky and George are two detective fishes who go around Seacago solving crimes and arresting criminals.
* CommieNazis: Red Lobster's army combines both Soviet and Nazi imagery, with himself featuring a Cold War-sounding title and his black crabs being styled as stormtroopers (and Lobster also having a German accent). Averted in dubs where he's called Colonel Klaw, which removes the red part.
* DetectiveAnimal: The eponymous duo, two fish detectives solving underwater crime.
* DubNameChange: Depending on the dub, the lobster villain is named either Red Lobster or Colonel Klaw. Or there is also the European Spanish dub, which uses both names (presumably the first of them as an-universe nickname or codename).
* MadScientist: Doctor Medusa (Dr. Jelly in the english dub), a jellyfish supervillain and scientist who is one of the recurring villains.
* RedLiveLobster: One of the villains is a German-accented lobster who is named either Red Lobster or Colonel Klaw depending on the dub. As the former name indicates, he's a red lobster, though it's relatively downplayed, as only his back and claws are red, whereas his face and abdomen is grey. The trope is averted with his minions, who are black crabs.
* TailfinWalking: Fish in the show tend to stand and walk on the sea bottom on their tail fins, though other times they are capable of swimming.
