''Furry Fight Chronicles'' is a furry webcomic created by [=DaiGaijin=], also known as [=KageMusha=], about female pro-wrestling. The story revolves around Combagals, female wrestling icons, and their attempts to succeed. The protagonist is Muko, a perverted female rabbit who decides to become a Combagal after watching her first female pro-wrestling match. However, unwilling to go to a school for two years, Muko decides to hire a squirrel manager named Cookie, who guarantees her that she'll have her debut match in a tag team with an experienced partner. The comic follows Muko as she realizes that being a Combagal is harder than she thought it was going to be.

!!This comic provides examples of:

* TenMinuteRetirement: Par for the course when it comes to pro wrestlers, [[spoiler:Muko quits furry fighting after the events of Chapter 18. Chapter 19 focuses on Cookie snapping her out of it by telling her a story about her past. She succeeds.]]
* TheNineties: The story takes place in 1997, with certain background lore also being spread over the rest of the decade prior. However, [[AnachronismStew the tech level]] is that of the 2010s and afterwards, with mobile phones, massively influential social media websites, and motion control video games being widely available-- making it entirely possible that aside from some cultural similarities [[AlternateHistory it may not be the same 1997]] that ''we're'' familiar with.
* AbortedArc: Cookie's original plan for Muko was [[WorkingClassHero to promote her as a working class Combagal to get Muko a fanbase.]] However, this plan was never fully realized because Kalita tried to steal from Cafe Carrots, Muko getting injured in the fight, the Masato Match happening a week later, Muko focusing more on her training, and Cookie trying a different motif [[spoiler: after Kalita joined the team.]]
* AccidentalPervert: Happens in Chapter 19 when Cookie enters Muko's room to cheer her up and [[CaughtWithYourPantsDown finds her masturbating.]] Following an expression of mutual embarrassment, Muko [[GettingTheBoot kicks Cookie out.]]
* AchievementsInIgnorance: Muko, despite her lack of experience, achieves a couple of things that convinces Cookie of her furry fighting potential. She eludes professional security guards to meet Fenny and Roora in the second chapter and she saves Harry's life from suicide simply by being nice to him, earning her first fan in the process.
* ActionFashionista: Combagals like wearing more than one fighting outfit when doing different matches. That being said, some have an IconicOutfit that defines them across their career.
* ActionGirl: The story is about female pro-wrestling.
* ActionPrologue: The first chapter of the comic is about a match between Fenny and Roora, [[EstablishingSeriesMoment establishing]] what furry fighting is, and what inspires Muko to become a Combagal.
* ACupAngst: Besides her height, Cookie is also sensitive about her breast size. She tries to attack Ida in Chapter 31 when the latter points out that she got taller than Cookie and got a bigger bust since the first time they met.
-->'''Cookie''': "For a squirrel, I'm tall! And well endowed! Get tackled!"
* AdvertisedExtra: Fenny and Roora, despite being the main focus of the first chapter, only really serve to inspire Muko to become a Combagal. They only reappear in cameos, extras, or non-canon comics.
* AfterActionPatchUp: Happens a few times after a character receives a beating in a brutal fight.
** Chapter 7 opens with Muko being treated at the hospital from the injuries she received fighting Kalita. Cookie makes sure to scold her after she gets out for treating her injuries lightly.
** Chapter 18 ends with Muko at the locker rooms, having been patched up from her injuries at the Masato Match. The following scene with Cookie is a very somber talk about the match.
* TheAlcoholic: Some characters drink a lot. However, the comic is willing to show the realistic outcome of what happens when you become one, especially if you abuse alcohol [[DrowningMySorrows as an outlet for dealing with your troubles]]. It's not pretty:
** Cookie became one in Chapter 19 after Trilamity Day. [[spoiler: Between causing Freydar's crippling, losing customers, and selling all of her Fortune Gals to Shun Gonfano, she resorted to drinking to deal with it. She ended up meeting Shun and her former Combagals in Club Nighthawk, where she made a scene and lost what little respect her Combagals had left for her.]]
** Zebreastian had trouble being a host due to [[UnwantedHarem getting too many marriage proposals]]. He started drinking to deal with the stress. However, between the alcoholism and the accumulated stress, Zebreastian [[BloodFromTheMouth vomited blood, which acted as a wake up call to change jobs.]] He now works at Monyan for its less demanding conditions.
* AllThereInTheManual: There are some extras and atelier drawings that give extra info regarding the characters, such as their background, techniques or hobbies.
* AloofAlly: As of Part 3, Kalita becomes a Combagal at Champubator Agency. However, she's mainly indifferent to Muko and Cookie, insisting on treating the relationship professionally and parting ways with them once they get the money to pay Cookie's debt.
* AmazonBrigade: The Cyclone Crushers even drop the {{kayfabe}} side of things to go [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown straight for shooting]].
* AmazonianBeauty: Some Combagals manage to combine style and function by being tall, strong, and beautiful.
** Roora is buffer than Fenny, but no less beautiful because of it.
** Nyarai is the most feminine-looking of the four protagonists thanks to her hostess job, but her outfits show that she's got a six-pack and well-toned limbs, especially the latter, which are drawn with extra muscle detail when she's about to fight.
** Patchwork counts... which is also why Muko can't be around her without a system crash.
** [[spoiler:Freydar]] is also another example in theory, though [[spoiler:she's played a bit more for tragedy, with [[CareerEndingInjury her past]] resulting in her becoming more ferocious-looking and losing most of her "beauty" as a result.]]
* AmbitionIsEvil: Too much focus on her own ambitions was a FatalFlaw of Cookie back when she was ''Fortune Cookie'' two years before the comic started. She originally became a Combagal to help Combagals achieve their dreams of becoming Champions since Cookie couldn't become one because of her height. After becoming a successful manager, Cookie forgot her dreams and principles, caring only about profit until one Combagal under her care got injured because of her neglect. Her failure made her realize her mistake, at the cost of her Combagals, her career, and her self-esteem.
* AmusingInjuries: Muko's first meeting with Combagals ends with her getting kicked in the face by Roora because Muko decided to meet her and Fenny while they were showering.
* AnachronismStew: While the story takes place during TheNineties it doesn't stop it from having inventions that came out decades later.
** Muko plays video games with motion controls in the early chapters in an attempt to learn furry fighting. Such control systems didn't come up until the middle 2000s.
** Social platforms like the Spotter play a part in celebrity life, which started to become influential on the 2010s.
* AndTheAdventureContinues: [[spoiler: Act 1 ends with Team Starkiller being forced to leave Botaun after losing the Cookie Crumble Match. However, they will now continue their furry fighting career by wrestling in the other city-states of Concatta.]]
* AngerBornOfWorry: Saniko smashes a vase and yells in Chapter 8 after hearing about Muko quitting her job at Cafe Carrots, getting into a fight with a biker (Kalita) that ended with Muko beat up, and then continuing with her dream of being a Combagal like it was nothing.
* {{Animesque}}: While read like a western comic, the art style and setting is similar to a manga in terms of design, with use of certain gags and frequent GratuitousJapanese.
* ArtEvolution: The art is great in Part 1, but it becomes more elegant in Part 2 and the change becomes more noticeable in Part 3.
* ArtShift: PlayedForLaughs when the characters have reactions to some hilarious circumstances.
* AscendedExtra: Roora and Fenny, whose only major appearance in the main comic was their fight in chapter one, are main characters in the spinoff, Space Muko.
* AscendedFangirl: Muko loved furry fighting for a while, with Chapter 1 being the first furry fight match she saw. The premise of the comic deals with Muko's path to becoming a Combagal.
* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership:
** Becoming a champion Combagal requires one to defeat the previous one in battle. [[spoiler:Nyarai accomplishes this by dominating Adelgund in Chapter 17, being crowned as the Masato champion in the next chapter.]]
** Concerning the Roda Kira Gang, Debbie was the original leader, but she was replaced by Gantus when he bested in a race so brutal she crashed. Kalita's conversation with Debbie in Chapter 27, besides talking about the incident is also about teaming up to defeat him.
* AssKicksYou: As shown in Part 3, Combagals can throw themselves butt first to attack their opponents in a match, as Snuggly does in Chapter 20.
** [[spoiler: Muko later does this to Snuggly during Chapter 35 when entering the ring.]]
* AttemptedRape: In Monyan soapland, two customers attempted to rape a couple of workers there. Fortunately, Skully, who was managed by Cookie at the time, arrived and gave them the beating they deserved. Their photos were taken and put in a wall of shame so as to never get service. To this day, the Monyan staff is grateful to Cookie and Skully for their help. They have a giant billboard of Skully to promote her disco products and they let Cookie have her Combagal office as payment for her help.
* AttentionWhore: Combagals are supposed to entertain the crowd by bringing attention to themselves while they fight. Some of the Combagals do it out of professional obligation, but others do it because they enjoy the spotlight.
** Roora nearly wins the fight with Fenny in the first chapter. But she wastes the opportunity to finish Fenny off because she got distracted with the cheers of the crowd, allowing Fenny to recover and win the match.
** Snuggly likes to promote herself before, during, and after a fight. She mainly does so by singing her newest single hits.
* AudienceSurrogate: Muko works like this in the first chapters as she's attracted to furry fighting because of the attractive girls but later appreciates it for the action and story behind the fights.
* AuthorAvatar: The creator of the comic materializes as a toaster cat hybrid during extra material.
* AxCrazy: Nyarai is the most violent of the four protagonists as she demonstrates with her CombatSadomasochist fighting style in Part 2. Her KickTheDog moments with Mellow imply that she's dying to kick his face in until he amused her enough to acknowledge him.
* BadassBiker: Kalita is a biker, who specializes in brawling. She can [[OneWomanArmy take out an enemy biker gang by herself,]] and has an ElementalPunch as her special technique.
* BadassInANiceSuit: Shun Gonfano doesn't fight, but he's the manager of the Cyclone Crushers, a {{Yakuza}} by name due to being a sumiguza, and he has enough NervesOfSteel to not be afraid of [[spoiler:an unstable Freydar.]]
* BadassLongcoat: Kalita and the other two founding members of the Roda Kira Gang (Debbie and Leyline) wore white jackets with kanji that spelled out a virtue. In Kalita's jacket was the word respect.
* BadassTeacher What makes the Cyclone Crushers so dangerous is not just their fighting skills but their trainer. [[spoiler: Their trainer is Freydar, Cookie's best Combagal and the only Combagal with the potential of defeating Donkizari. With her training methods, Skully and Bolouma, her former Fortune Gals became the Tendonchi Champions in the span of a year. For extra badass points, she's still training and is stronger than she was back when she fought for Cookie's side.]]
* BadBoss: [[spoiler: Dinedon is responsible for the fall of Team Executor as he helped Shun Gonfano hijack the match. He also forced Peki to become a {{Jobber}} and a {{Heel}} by fighting Adelgund for the sake of increasing sales, not caring about Peki's feelings or the impact it would have on her popularity.]]
* TheBadGuyWins: Part 2 [[spoiler: ends with Nyarai betraying Muko and Cookie and becoming the Masato champion, with Peki and Adelgund getting hospitalized in the process. Shun managed to get Cookie's reputation further damaged. And Muko was traumatized enough to undergo retirement. Downplayed, as Saniko forces Cookie to snap Muko out of her HeroicBSOD and this gets them to try furry fighting again.]]
* BadLiar: Mellow is very bad at lying, especially under pressure. In Chapter 33, [[spoiler: when Nyarai asks him why he went to see her as a client despite being a fan of Muko, he tells her an exaggerated story. He claims that Muko broke his heart when he realized she had a cat fetish and that he became a fan of Nyarai because he was impressed by her strength when she defeated Adelgund. Nyarai points out that he's lying, but her face during Mellow's lie implies that she only listened out of amusement.]]
* BadlyBatteredBabysitter: Mellow works as a babysitter for five babies in Chapter 33 and is obviously not having fun doing so.
* BaitAndSwitch: The first chapter makes it seem like Fenny is the protagonist of the story since it focus on her victory against Roora. In reality, it's an ActionPrologue to inspire Muko to become a Combagal.
* BarefootCartoonAnimal: Zig-zagged as some animals are shown wearing shoes and other don't based on preference or physiology.
** Barefoot preference is more common for characters with more animalistic physiology than others. While Cookie and Nyarai are the only barefooters among the four protagonists, Cookie has digitigrade paws that make it hard to find shoes for her whereas Nyarai has humanoid feet with paw pads similar to Muko and Kalita, [[PrefersGoingBarefoot not wearing shoes out of choice or preference.]]
** Avian and arboreal animals like reptiles also have trouble wearing shoes. Most of them are barefoot or choose to wear straps. The only exception was Peki wearing snow boots in a flashback.
%%* :
%%** Most Combagals who have WalkingSwimsuitScene as an outfit do this by default.
%%** Leyline is a male example.
* BatOutOfHell: Skully, one of the Cyclone Crushers, is a bat and one half of the Tendonchi Champions.
* BatterUp: Kalita and one of her underlings use a bat when doing illegal activities.
* BathingBeauty: The girls who work at the Monyan soapland are beautiful and dressed in towels.
* BattleAmongstTheFlames: Chapter 28 has one with Kalita and the Roda Kira Gang when she sees them terrorizing homeless people. It's even illustrated as the cover for Volume 3.
* BattleAura: Nyarai gets one when she's about to use her Leg Jet Burst for the first time.
** Parodied with Muko after getting her HeroicSecondWind in her rematch with Kalita. It ends up being visual effects as Muko doesn't get stronger, or at least strong enough to fight Kalita, who just uses her strongest punch to knock her out.
* BattleInTheRain: One of them happens in Chapter 28. Downplayed, [[spoiler: as Gantus already bested Kalita and broke her spirit, who chooses to run away from him shortly after it starts raining.]]
* BattleStrip: Nyarai and Peki rip off the battle outfits they wore when they entered the ring at the end of their fight [[spoiler: to symbolize their betrayal of their respective teams for the creation of Team Firestorm.]]
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Muko and the cast don't seem to suffer permanent damage when they are inflicted AmusingInjuries or fight in kayfabe matches, having little to no injuries that, if they appear, disappear in no time.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Most positive relationships in the comic started because someone showed a character kindness, respect, or friendship during a low time of their life.
** Muko's UndyingLoyalty to Cookie is because she's the first adult who ever believed in her potential.
** Adelgund's love for Peki begun when she believed that she could be a great Combagal despite her masculine looks and taught her how to control her strength.
** Kalita has a devoted mindset to the Roda Kira Gang because they gave her a family and purpose when she met Debbie and Leyline.
* TheBet:
** Cookie makes a bet with Manugo, Muko's former boss at Cafe Carrots, in Chapter 3. If Muko earns more sales than his maids, they get the sales money for the whole week. But if the maids win, Muko has to work for free for a month.
** A bigger bet is made on Chapter 31 [[spoiler: by Freydar of all people. She challenges Muko and Kalita to a two-on-one fight. If they win, they can skip the Tendonchi Challenges and fight Skully and Bolouma. If they lose, they and Cookie have to leave town. Shun convinces her to change the terms since Freydar still has a GameBreakingInjury so she has them fight a two-on-two fight with Combagals she will personally train with the bet conditions being the same. Cookie wisely chooses not to take the challenge, anticipating that Freydar's Combagals may be stronger than Skully and Bolouma.]]
* BeTheBall: Chapter 46 has Nyarai using her extreme flexibility to contort herself into a ball while still looking as bloodthirsty as ever.
* BewareOfViciousDog:
** Gantus is the second leader of the Roda Kira Gang and acts as TheDreaded to Kalita. He is a large dog who corrupted the gang, beat Debbie in a biking race (and is implied that he hospitalized her by causing her crash), and he's stronger than Kalita.
** Freydar was the only Combagal with the potential of defeating Donkizari. When she finally appears in Chapter 29, she shows that she's tall, muscular, and angry.
* BigDamnReunion: [[spoiler: The fight between Snuggly and Sleepy ends with them reconciling with a hug and becoming a tag team again.]]
* BigEater: Muko can eat a lot. She even tried to exploit this by becoming a competitive eater.
* BigSisterInstinct: Saniko may not always agree with Muko, but she still loves her younger sister and is protective of her. In Chapter 19, she convinces Cookie to talk with Muko [[spoiler: after her HeroicBSOD by blackmailing Cookie, pointing out that she made her fight against two superior opponents who beat her up. Cookie complies and ends up snapping Muko out of her depression after a heart to heart. Zebreastian also remembers her sporting a DeathGlare when he remembers her asking for Cookie, showing how angry she was at the squirrel for getting her sister hurt.]]
* BigSisterMentor: Debbie, the original leader and one of the three founders of the Roda Kira Gang was this to Kalita before an injury forced a temporary retirement. She tries to be this again when they meet one year later, [[spoiler: but they leave on bad terms due to Debbie becoming a RetiredBadass to start a family.]]
* BittersweetEnding: Part 2 ends with [[spoiler: Nyarai betraying Cookie and Muko for Shun Gonfano and becoming the new champion. Cookie's reputation is further damaged and Muko is traumatized. However, thanks to Saniko forcing them to talk, Muko and Cookie reconcile and try again. Furthermore, Part 2 ends with Kalita returning with the implication that she will become Muko's partner in Part 3.]]
* BlindedByRage:
** Kalita goes in a berserker rage after Muko keeps embarrassing her to see her breasts rather than fight her seriously. She gives Muko a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown that destroys Cafe Carrots, which makes their protection money scheme useless when the place is destroyed.
** [[spoiler: This goes two-fold for Team Executor in Chapter 16. Peki, after years of infidelity and neglect by Adelgund betrays her and subjects her to a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown in revenge for all of the suffering she endured. She forgot that Adelgund had SuperStrength because of her size that she gives her a chance to break her arm, losing the fight. Adelgund, angry at Peki for betraying her, despite having justified reasons, breaks both of her legs, destroying her reputation in the process.]]
* BlingOfWar: Nyarai has a fondness for gold, silver, and gems. They make a part of her outfit when she's onscreen. She even wears them when fighting.
* BloodFromTheMouth: Kalita spits out blood after her fight with Debbie and Leyline in the flashback of Chapter 34. It's PlayedForLaughs as Debbie and Leyline want to settle for a tie but Kalita insists that she can still fight.
* BodyguardBabes: The Exe-Cutie-Ves act as Adelgund's personal cheering squad, but they're also bodyguards who protect Adelgund while she fights on the ring. That being said, their fighting level is not up to the standards of a Combagal, much less the Cyclone Crushers.
* BoobBasedGag: Some jokes are made about Kalita's breasts, such as being a good hiding spot for documents. Likewise, Jowdie, the most endowed member of the Cyclone Crushers gets some boob humor with Mellow in Chapter 33.
* BookDumb: Muko didn't graduate from high school and anything she learned from furry fighting she did from magazine posters.
* BoxingBattler: Peki. Her fighting name is "Punching Peki"
* BrawlerLock: Happens a couple of times during even fights.
** Fenny and Roora have one in the first chapter. Roora wins the contest of strength due to being larger and stronger than Fenny, getting an early lead in the match.
** Snuggly and Sleepy engage in one, demonstrating how evenly match both IdolSinger Combagals are since they used to be a tag team before their break up.
* BrawnHilda: Adelgund is large and bulky, with a masculine face. This causes Muko to feel lots of dismay as she wanted her first furry fight to be with someone attractive. Deconstructed, as her unattractive appearance and her inability to control her strength were detrimental to her furry fighting career [[spoiler:until Peki taught her how to control her strength and win fans through her personality and performance rather than her looks.]]
* BreakTheCutie: Muko gets this [[spoiler: on her debut match after Nyarai betrays her and Cookie and then gives her a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech and a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown in front of the audience that leaves her in tears until Adelgund tags her in. This leads to...]]
* BreakTheHaughty: Nyarai getting this [[spoiler: after being an arrogant bitch before and during the match, she receives her comeuppance when Adelgund takes her out with a single knee to the snout. Nyarai has to leave the ring with a broken snout, blood pouring out of her nose, with a face that shows total fear and vulnerability as she has to tag Peki in. To add insult to injury, Shun doesn't care when she passes out despite everything she did for his plans.]]
* BreastAttack: This is a common tactic when the fights get brutal. Roora does this to Fenny many times in Chapter 1. Nyarai does this [[spoiler:to Muko]] in Chapter 14, and Sleepy and Snuggly do this to each other in Chapter 20.
* BriefcaseFullOfMoney: [[spoiler: Shun got Dinedon to betray Team Executor by paying him with one of these. He also bought the Cyclone Crushers from Cookie this way two years ago.]]
* BrokenPedestal: Cookie is this [[spoiler: to the Cyclone Crushers for causing Freydar to get a CareerEndingInjury and selling them to Shun Gonfano.]]
* BrutalHonesty: If Muko has a negative opinion of you, she won't hesitate to point it out to you. This trait is usually PlayedForLaughs such as when telling her friend Mellow she's not interested in him.
* TheBully: To Kalita's dismay, this is what the Roda Kira Gang became as they terrorize the weak. Ironically, she used to be a school bully herself. [[spoiler: Gantus mocking Kalita and labeling her as a bully because she only fought opponents weaker than her and she got scared when fighting him because he was stronger than her caused her to run away at being seen not as a warrior but as a coward who pushed down those weaker than her. Ironically, the speech reflects Gantus himself more than Kalita.]]
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler: Act 1 ends with Muko, Kalita, and Cookie having to leave Botaun since they lost to Sephario at the end of the Cookie Crumble Match. Despite this, they ''still'' intend to continue their furry fighting career by wrestling in the other city-states of Concatta so that they can participate in the Queens of Fighters tournament.]]
* ButtMonkey: Muko goes through a lot of comedic indignities across the comic, most of them self-inflicted by her immaturity and stupidity.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Kalita and Jowdie are considered attractive by the other characters because of their large breasts.
* CallBack: Many elements of previous chapters get referenced in previous chapters for the sake of the storyline.
** Cookie dressing up Muko for her fight with Kalita in Chapter 5 is done again in Chapter 22 when Muko is ready to finish her rematch with her.
* CallingYourAttacks: Starting from the Masato fight, Combagals start shouting the names of their techniques upon using them.
* CannotTalkToWomen: Mellow is very shy around women, especially if they are attractive. He makes a fool of himself when talking to Muko and struggles to ask her out. He seems to have mildly improved in Chapter 33 by his ability to talk with Nyarai and Jowdie.
* CareerEndingInjury: This is what actually happened [[spoiler: in Trilamity Day to Freydar. Due to overworking, Freydar developed a painkiller addiction that was going to get her blind after she got injured in her last fight.]]
** [[spoiler: As it turns out: it was a GameBreakingInjury and Freydar can still fight, being stronger than before despite the handicap.]]
* CarnivoreConfusion: Muko as a bunny should be a herbivore. That being said, she's very happy to eat meat. She eats burgers and ''yakiniku'' with great delight. Cookie, while not being a BigEater like Muko, is willing to eat barbecue despite squirrels not being carnivores.
* CasinoEpisode: Chapter 29 can be summarized as this when Kalita tries to reverse engineer Cookie's status as TheJinx to get easy money to pay her debt. HilarityEnsues when she uses another loan to get the chips meaning that she's betting Cookie's money and risking the chance of ''doubling'' her bet.
* {{Catchphrase}}: Expect to hear this from Cookie when her height is brought up.
--->"For a squirrel, I'm tall!"
* CatsAreMean: Nyarai, being a cheetah, fits this trope due to being physically and verbally violent, with a short temper and nasty attitude to boot.
* CaughtWithYourPantsDown: Hilariously enough, Cookie finds a depressed Muko masturbating while visiting her in Chapter 19, much to their embarrassment.
* CentralTheme: The comic has a few recurring themes across the chapters that keep reappearing and play a role in the plot and the characters:
** First, there is the importance of achieving your dreams. It's never easy, sometimes they are impossible, but it's the journey, and being able to make them live on that matters.
** There is also a recurring theme of {{Forgiveness}} and {{Revenge}} as Muko and Cookie struggle with the Cyclone Crushers. Cookie made mistakes, but the start of her RedemptionQuest begins when Muko becomes the first person who forgave her for Trilamity Day and her failures as a manager.
* ChairmanOfTheBrawl: As implied by Scalitor and Donkizari, smacking your opponent with a chair is a popular {{Heel}} tactic.
* CharacterDevelopment: Muko starts wanting to become a true Combagal after her first furry fight by the end of Part 2. Starting on Part 3, while she's still optimistic, she's more mature and more willing to recognize her flaws.
* CharacterFocus: Each part of Act 1 is focused on one of the protagonists. Part 1 focuses on Muko, Part 2 focuses on Nyarai, and Part 3 focuses on Kalita, and Part 4 focuses on Cookie.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Implied. Muko is described as having no training in sports or fighting. Assuming the average Combagal was like Muko before their two years in Combagal school, then those two years of training gave them MegatonPunch levels of strength and MadeOfIron levels of stamina.
* CheerfulChild: Fidah, the youngest orphan at Yoko Orphanage, has a bright and cheerful personality. She adores Kalita and talks about her dreams of being a pilot with her.
* CheeryPink: Subverted...Muko's furry fighting outfit for her first match is pink and she would fit this trope under normal circumstances. However, because she's nervous about her first match, is fighting a BrawnHilda for her first opponent rather than an attractive girl, and many other complications that come out...she doesn't get to enjoy the match.
* TheChewToy: Like Muko, Cookie faces many indignities. However, most of them are caused by her unusually high bad luck and her reactions and attempts to surpass them make her hilarious to watch.
** Despite not being cursed like Cookie, Mellow is a likable guy who gets ignored by his crush, works many jobs just to visit Club Nighthawk once, and faces many indignities just talking with Nyarai.
* ChildrenRaiseYou: Bill Bunburger, the father of Muko and Saniko, needs his oldest daughter to take care of him and work in his place while he recovers from some sort of depression.
* ChokeHolds: They are used as a FinishingMove in matches.
* CleavageWindow: Muko's maid outfit in Chapter 3 has one as lampshaded by Cookie.
* ClosetSublet: Cookie's office is the janitor's room of a soapland. It's also her living arrangements. [[spoiler: As of Chapter 19, this is also Muko's home until she gets an apartment.]]
* CombatCommentator: Every furry fighting stadium has one or two commentators narrating the match. Each stadium has different commentators with their own narrating style.
* CombatPragmatist: Combagals are not afraid to fight dirty if the situation demands it. Attacks to [[GroinAttack the groin,]] [[BreastAttack to the breasts,]] and other tactics are encouraged.
* CombatSadomasochist: Nyarai shows signs of this in Chapter 17 as she is more than happy to get hurt as long as she gets the chance of hurting her opponent back afterwards.
* ComicTrio: The Tendonchi Masters, as a whole are the highest authority of Tendonchi, as their challenges determine which Combagal team will fight the Tendonchi Champions. That being said, each is a BunnyEarsLawyer that makes interaction with the other two end in squabbling. Their recap show in Chapter 31 ends with the audience laughing at them more than learning about the previous challenges.
* ComingOfAgeStory: The story starts with Muko starting furry fighting for perverted desires. However, it acknowledges that she has a complicated home life and has no idea what to do with her life. After CharacterDevelopment kicks in, Muko strives to be a Combagal for mature reasons and prove herself to be an adult.
** Part 3 shows that Kalita also struggles with this. Due to having trouble with the Roda Kira Gang, the biker gang she created, Kalita is struggling with what to do with her life and moving on. She's unsatisfied with her present as a student, can't make peace with her past, and is uncertain about her future. Her CharacterFocus in Part 3 involves her figuring things out to see what she wants to do with her life.
* ContinuityPorn: The comic has a strong focus on continuity. Names that were mentioned in one chapter will surface again later. Events that take place in one chapter will play part at some point in the future as well.
* {{Contortionist}}: Fenny manages to wrap her legs around Roora's neck despite her opponent being heavier and sitting on top of her, bending her spine and legs to pull the hold.
** Nyarai practices yoga, or the comic's equivalent to it, and she has an AbnormalLimbRotationRange too.
* ContrastMontage: Chapter 26 shows the daily lives of Muko and Kalita and how both protagonists differ in their personalities, way of life, and current situations.
* CoolBigSis: Saniko, Muko's older sister, tries to be this to Muko by working and trying to look out for her younger sister's happiness.
** Kalita is the oldest girl in the girl dorms. She always wakes up early to cook breakfast for the younger girls before school.
** Jowdie acts like one to Nyarai, albeit with mixed success, by giving her advice on how to be a better hostess and [[ItWasAGift even buying her the tacky gem phone she owns.]] While Nyarai can be annoyed with Jowdie, her interactions imply that she considers the cow her BestFriend among the hostesses of Club Nighthawk.
* CoolMask: Muko wears a black mask as part of her MaskedLuchador attire in the cover. She sees the mask for the first time in Chapter 30.
* TheCorrupter: Gantus is the one responsible for the Roda Kira Gang doing the shakedowns in Part 1. According to Kalita, the Roda Kira Gang was more noble and idealistic back when Debbie was the leader.
* CosplayCafe: Muko used to work at one named Cafe Carrots. Most of the plot of Part 1 takes place there since Muko first has to win TheBet with the staff to earn money for Cookie and then ends up fighting Kalita there.
* CostumePorn: Combagals have great fashion sense when fighting. Additionally, outside of furry fighting, the protagonists and recurring characters are shown having a variety of different attires in different chapters.
* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: As lampshaded by Nyarai in Chapter 14, [[spoiler: Cookie could have prevented the Masato fight had she bothered to do a background check on her. Had she done so, Cookie would have realized the connection between Nyarai and Shun and prevented Muko from being traumatized.]]
* CounterfeitCash: [[spoiler: At Team Starkiller debut,]] Cookie makes a persona based around her love of money by making cash rain above her. However, it is shown that they are Monyan coupons underneath that had Moni symbols painted over them. Justified, since Cookie is poor so she cannot afford throwing Moni around.
* CreepyCrossdresser: [[spoiler: Paipu Katto tried to help Snuggly win a singing competition by putting on Sleepy's dress and singing with Snuggly. Both of them lose...big time.]]
* CrueltyByFeet: Nyarai likes to step on the faces of her opponents when they are on the mat as a way to establish her dominance over them.
* CueTheRain: Going hand in hand with BattleInTheRain above, it starts raining in Chapter 28, [[spoiler: when Kalita realizes that she's outmatched by Gantus.]]
* CueTheSun: Muko and Kalita's first training session with Daikarin starts late at night and ends with the sun rising.
* CunningLikeAFox: Besides being a biker, Kalita is a great student. She can lead a double life perfectly, gets grades high enough to be accepted to a good university, and Chapter 29 has her pulling out a gambit in a casino with Muko and Cookie to test Cookie's bad luck, see if they can exploit it to pay her debt, and determine from there if she's going to become a Combagal from there.
* CurbStompBattle: Muko's fight with Kalita is a one sided defeat for her as it shows what happens when someone fights an opponent with lots of fighting experience.
* CutShort: The comic was meant to be much longer. But the story was cut short so that it ended on Act 1.
* DanceBattler: Implied with Snuggly and Sleepy as Paipu Katto trained them in dancing as much as he did in furry fighting.
* DarkActionGirl: {{Heel}} Combagals invoke this when fighting.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Some of the Combagals, including the protagonists have them.
* DavidVersusGoliath: There are no weight categories in furry fighting, so there will be matches where Combagals will fight opponents who are larger or smaller than them.
** The ActionPrologue has Roora as the Goliath and Fenny as the David. Roora has a SimpleYetAwesome fighting style that uses her brute strength to overwhelm Fenny. Meanwhile, Fenny uses a WeakButSkilled approach with a side of CombatPragmatist by using superior technique and attacking when her opponent lowers her guard. Fenny wins by making a comeback victory.
* ADayInTheLimelight:
** Nyarai is the main focus on Chapter 6, the last chapter of Part 1 due to the first five chapters being focused on Muko, Cookie, and Kalita. It shows her job as a waitress and her connection with Shun Gonfano and the Cyclone Crushers. Fittingly enough, she gets CharacterFocus on Part 2, starting on Chapter 7.
** Chapter 15 and Chapter 16 are this to Team Executor, with the former being an OriginsEpisode and the latter [[spoiler:showing their fight and relationship end with Adelgund breaking Peki's limbs.]]
* DealWithTheDevil: This is what Cookie considers a deal or partnership with Shun Gonfano to be like. Justified as he's the equivalent of a {{Yakuza}} in the comic.
* DeathFromAbove: Aerial moves focus on Combagals jumping into the air, either through their agility or using the turnbuckle, to hit their opponents from above, using gravity and their body weight to maximize damage.
** Kalita jumps from a counter to hit Muko with an elbow drop in their first fight.
** Mirko wins a fight in Chapter 11 by slamming her opponent with a moonsault.
* DecoyProtagonist: The first chapter makes it seem as if Fenny would be the protagonist of the story or a mentor figure to Muko. In reality, her purpose was just to inspire Muko to take furry fighting by showing how one match looks like.
* DefeatingTheUndefeatable: [[spoiler: Nyarai does this to Adelgund, who was an unbeatable champion because of her size, strength, and skill in Chapter 18.]]
** As of Chapter 24, Cookie and Muko invoke this by aiming to defeat Donkizari. It is implied that most Combagals want to do this to become the Continental Champion.
* DemonHead: Nyarai turns herself into a giant flaming head to yell at Mellow for focusing more on how tacky her GemEncrusted phone looks and having a small chat with Jowdie.
* DespairEventHorizon: Muko and Cookie suffer this [[spoiler: after the Masato match. Muko is traumatized by her weakness at fighting Nyarai and inability to save Adelgund from her that she quits furry fighting. Likewise, Cookie enters a similar depression as with Nyarai betraying her and Muko leaving her, she had nobody willing to hire her now that her reputation was ruined. They both snap out of it on Chapter 19 after talking things through.]]
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: According to Saniko in Chapter 8, Muko pursues her hobbies and then enters a depression when she fails to make a career out of them. She believes furry fighting will be another case. [[spoiler: It was... until a conversation with Cookie makes Muko realize that she wants to be a Combagal for the sake of furry fighting and not to satisfy her libido.]]
* DestructiveSavior: Deconstructed. Muko loses to Kalita, but her determination impresses her enough to not steal from Cafe Carrots. That being said, the fight destroyed the store so Cookie has to pay for the damages Muko made, putting her in bigger debt. Muko also has to go to the hospital too.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: This is Cookie's main FatalFlaw when making decisions, such as allowing Muko to fight Kalita in Chapter 5 despite the skill difference because she let her excitement get the better of her.
* DisqualificationInducedVictory: Another way to win a furry fighting match is if the opponents break the rules too much through illegal moves or unnecessary roughness. Deconstructed [[spoiler: with Team Executor, who was slowly losing popularity by relying on too many victories by disqualification. Additionally, Peki's time as a {{Jobber}} was harder because she had to let her rivals pummel her to get them disqualified, which led to her betrayal at the Masato Match.]]
* DistractedByTheSexy: Muko is easily distracted by attractive girls, even during serious moment, such as during her fight with Kalita.
* DivingKick: The dropkick is one of the most used techniques in the comic. Fenny uses it against Roora, Snuggly uses it against Tanka Talon, and Muko has used it twice on Adelgund and Kalita.
* DoesNotDrive: To Kalita's annoyance in Chapter 36, she's the designated driver on account of being the only one in the truck with a driver's license. As it turns out, Daikarin failed the test thrice, Muko never learned because she uses the trains, and Cookie had better things to do.
* DreamCrushingHandicap: Cookie wanted to be a Combagal when she was a little girl. Sadly, she realized that she was never going to grow tall enough to have a decent fighting chance in the ring. She's trying to make it up by being a manager training and promoting aspiring Combagals to become champions.
* DrivenToSuicide: Harry, Muko's first fan, was about to commit suicide after being fired from his job. He only changed his mind after Muko was nice to him by doing customer service for him at Cafe Carrots.
* DrowningMySorrows: Some characters resort to drinking when they have trouble. Deconstructed as they become TheAlcoholic and suffer the consequences afterwards.
** As a flashback in Chapter 19, Cookie [[spoiler: after selling her Combagals to Shun Gonfano, started to drink in despair when she realized that nobody wanted to hire her after Trilamity Day. She became alcoholic and, during a drunken episode, ended in Shun's club, where she lost what little respect her Combagals had for her.]]
* DrugsAreBad: Most drugs that appear in the comic are painted in a negative light. Fittingly enough, the story takes place in [[FantasyCounterpartCulture a setting that resembles Japan, where it has a strong anti-drug stance.]]
** Cookie refuses to let Muko take painkillers after her fight with Kalita because they're bad for the body, leading to an addiction. This is {{Foreshadowing}} as this happened to one of her Combagals in the past, destroying both of their careers.
** Leyline, the second founding member of the Roda Kira Gang, has a glue addiction. Gantus, the new leader, exploits this by giving him something more potent.
** Kalita had [[JunkieParent drug addicts as parents. She was left an orphan when they died by overdose.]]
* TheDutifulDaughter: Saniko, Muko's older sister, has to deal with a depressed father, an irresponsible younger sister, and an absent mother while working overtime. It takes a toll on her emotional health.
* DynamicEntry: Done in Chapter 35 [[spoiler: by Muko and Kalita against Snuggly and Sleepy, shortly after their reconciliation to cement their FaceHeelTurn and the birth of Team Star Killer.]]
* DysfunctionalFamily: Muko has no idea what she wants to do with her life, Saniko is dealing with the stress of being TheDutifulDaughter to the household, and Bill is a depressed mess. The mother is also absent.
** Kalita's parents were junkies who died of overdose.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Some Combagals appear in posters in early chapters, flashbacks, or the occasional ImagineSpot of a random character only to reappear a few chapters later.
* EasilyDistractedReferee: While they provide interference, referees won't always notice foul play.
** In the first chapter, Fenny's manager angrily calls out the referee for not penalizing Roora when the latter grabs Fenny by the tail.
** Justified in Part 2 [[spoiler: as Cookie notices that the referee was bribed to allow Nyarai to use excessive brutality on Muko in Chapter 14. Besides that, he does his job as a referee fairly, like calling out the Exe-Cutie-Ves for interfering with the fight between Adelgund and Peki in Chapter 15 or trying to penalize Adelgund for breaking Peki's leg in Chapter 16.]]
* ElementalPowers: Nyarai and Kalita demonstrate the ability of using [[PlayingWithFire fire in Part 2]] and [[ShockAndAwe lightning for their strongest techniques.]]
* ElementalPunch: Kalita delivers a MegatonPunch filled with lightning to Muko's face to end their rematch.
** Nyarai also does the same but with a [[RapidFireFisticuffs flurry of kicks]] as part of her SignatureMove [[spoiler: to defeat Adelgund in Part 2.]]
* EmbarrassingNickname: Cookie is called ''Misfortune Cookie'' because of her bad luck.
* EveryoneHasStandards: [[spoiler: The crowd turns on Adelgund when she breaks Peki's limbs out of jealousy and heartbreak for betraying her and teaming up with Nyarai. According to Cookie in the next chapter, Adelgund will never recover her former popularity after this incident.]]
* EvilIsBigger: Gantus is the largest member of the Roda Kira Gang. He's also the one who corrupted it in the first place.
* EvilWearsBlack: Gantus, and most members who follow his evil ideals in the Roda Kira Gang, wear black jackets.
* ExtremityExtremist: When fighting, Nyarai prefers fighting with her legs.
* EyelidPullTaunt: Muko does this gesture to her boss when she quits Cafe Carrots.
* EyepatchOfPower: Fenny's manager wears one.
* EyeScream:
** As revealed in extra materials, Fenny's manager sacrificed her eye to a demon in exchange for wrestling knowledge to train her Combagals.
** [[spoiler: Kalita's friend Sadie got her eye injured when they were kids. Kalita kicked her in the face, breaking her glasses. The resulting shards got in one of her eyes. Needless to say, Kalita feels very ashamed of what happened.]]
** Sephario has a missing left eye. [[spoiler: A flashback shows that she lost it in a fire when her agency was burned down by protestors who blamed Trilamity Day on Kalandesians.]]
* {{Face}}: Discussed and explained by Cookie in Chapter 7. A Face is a heroic Combagal who earns the admiration of the public by fighting fair. Donkizari is the current example.
* FaceFault: Cookie falls from her chair the second Muko reveals that she has no experience in furry fighting besides reading magazines.
* FaceHeelTurn: In pro-wrestling, this is when a {{Face}} character becomes a {{Heel}} before or during the match.
** This trope is the story of Team Executor: Peki was forced to change into a {{Heel}} to fight and lose against Adelgund, who remained a {{Face}} during the match because of FantasticRacism against Wilds.[[spoiler: Adelgund accepted the decision despite Peki's protests, forcing her to be the bad girl for years. At the Masato Match, she was offered the chance of having a HeelFaceTurn by Cookie if she and Adelgund lost to Team Deliverance. But watching Adelgund cheat on her with Miho caused her to leave Team Executor and form Team Firestorm with Nyarai.]]
*** [[spoiler: At the climax of the match, Peki and Adelgund fight, with Adelgund breaking Peki's limbs out of spite, causing people to see her as a villain. She is eventually defeated by Nyarai, but she performs a HeroicSacrifice to teach Muko the true meaning of being a Combagal.]]
** [[spoiler: Muko and Kalita start as {{Face}} Combagals under Cookie. However, due to their bad reputations by the Spotter and them being more comfortable being themselves, they eventually become {{Heel}} Combagals who debut in Chapter 35.]]
* FacialMarkings:
** Ceila, one of the Cyclone Crushers, paints two purple stripes running down her eyes as part of her Combagal costume.
** Sleepy painted a star on the upper left half of her face. It was light colored a year ago, but it's black now to reflect her new DarkerAndEdgier persona.
* FamilyOfChoice: The Roda Kira Gang is Kalita's chosen family. [[spoiler: It's why she wanted to reclaim it back from Gantus and why she's feeling empty after leaving it.]]
* FangsAreEvil: Some evil or {{Jerkass}} characters have shown to have fangs or pointy teeth. Examples include Nyarai, Gantus, and Scalitor.
* FanOfTheUnderdog: Muko's only fans are Mellow, Harry, and Shira, whereas the rest of the audience in her debut match doesn't care about her presence.
* {{Fanservice}}: In-universe, this is half the point of Combagals - fight each other, while showing as much skin and sexualized posing as possible.
* FantasticRacism: There is some discrimination against certain species known as Wilds. Nyarai (a cheetah) suffered a lot of this in the past and it's a BerserkButton of hers if someone discriminates her or "plays the Wild Card" on her.
** On Chapter 15, a flashback scene with Team Executor mentions a group named Kalandesians that is also being discriminated.
* FantasyCounterpartCulture: The setting of the comic, the fictitious city of Botaun resembles Japan. This goes from the cities, the character names, concepts, and even the use of GratuitousJapanese in some chapters. Even furry fighting is based on Japanese pro-wrestling, which is known as ''puroresu'' there, which allows the use of martial arts techniques alongside wrestling techniques.
* FauxActionGirl: Despite wanting to become a Combagal-and showing some athletic feats when push comes to shove-Muko has no fighting skills that help her in furry fighting. This backfires on her in Part 1 and Part 2 when she gets a CurbStompBattle thanks to her inexperience. Thanks to CharacterDevelopment following her debut, Muko is trying to subvert this trope by graduating to ActionGirl from Part 3 and onwards.
* FeministFantasy: The main characters are female pro-wrestlers and this also extends to the Combagals, the fighters of the comic. Combagals are also shown to be celebrities that have their own influence in the story. Even with the inclusion of male fighters, they don't have as much of an influence in the setting as Combagals do.
* FightingPanda: Bolouma is a panda Combagal, and one of the strongest ones in the story. She's a member of the Cyclone Crushers, a team of elite Combagals, and she's also one of the two Tendonchi Champions.
* FinalBoss: Cookie invokes this with Donkizari in Chapter 24, declaring her as the last Combagal that Muko must defeat in her journey. Justified as Donkizari is the WorldsStrongestWoman and nobody has bested her in years.
* FingerGun: Nyarai taunts Adelgund in Chapter 17 by pointing at her with both hands, fingers extended like the barrels of a gun, and then making pew noises to simulate shooting her.
* FinishingStomp: [[spoiler: Nyarai stomps on Adelgund's face despite the fact that she was unconscious and had gotten her jaw broken a few seconds ago.]]
* FlashStep: Peki and Nyarai can do this during the Masato match, showing how highly skilled they are in using their speed.
* FlippingTheBird: A very common gesture of defiance in the comic.
** Kalita does this a lot in Part 3 that it becomes a character tic when angry or annoyed that it becomes a character trait.
** One of the Exe-Cutie-Ves does this in Chapter 17.
** Miho and Mr. Dings do this to each other when saying goodbye, showing how much hate they have in their relationship as coworkers.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Saniko is the responsible sibling who works late hours to look after herself and her little sister. Muko is the foolish sibling who pretty much is into pro-wrestling more out of perversion than to get an actual job.
* FootFocus: Lots of close-ups tend to go to Nyarai's feet in the comic and the non-canon comics.
* ForcedToWatch: [[spoiler: Muko is forced to watch as Nyarai brutally defeats Adelgund to the point of hospitalization with Leg Jet Burst. She wants to tag in to save her but Adelgund refuses to prevent Muko from committing a SenselessSacrifice against an opponent that outmatched her without using her real strength.]]
* ForegoneConclusion: Kalita rejects Cookie's offer to become a Combagal back in Part 1. However, the cover of Arc 1 shows her as one of the four protagonists and dressed as a Combagal, meaning that she's bound to accept in the future. Come Part 3, and after some CharacterFocus explaining her motivations, Kalita becomes a Combagal.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Several plot points of some early chapters become more evident in later ones.
** Cookie calls out Muko in the dangers of painkillers [[spoiler:because her best Combagal got addicted to them and destroyed her career as a result.]]
* {{Forgiveness}}: An important part of Muko's CharacterDevelopment and Cookie's RedemptionQuest deal with this. [[spoiler: While Freydar and the Cyclone Crushers want revenge on Cookie for failing them as a manager, Muko is the first person who recognizes that Cookie is genuinely sorry for her mistakes and forgives her, not just for Trilamity Day but also the Masato match. Cookie's RedemptionQuest is also about earning the forgiveness of others by becoming a better manager than the one she used to be as ''Fortune Cookie'' back in her prime.]]
* FormerlyFat: According to Saniko in Chapter 8, Muko got ''very'' fat when she tried and failed to make a career in competitive eating. Out of depression, she locked herself in her room and started binge eating, putting on a lot of weight. It took Saniko weeks to get Muko to recover her original weight.
* FormerlyFit: Besides suffering depression, Bill Bunburger also put on weight in contrast to his appearance as Employee of the Year of 1993.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: Shun Gonfano wears glasses and his actions put him in the BigBad territory of the story.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Muko is sanguine (energetic, optimistic, friendly), Cookie is phlegmatic (analytical, calm, and nurturing), Kalita is melancholic (aloof, serious, and responsible), and Nyarai is choleric (short-tempered, prideful, and ambitious).
* FoxyVixen: Kalita is a very attractive vixen with a body that Muko ranks 10 out of 10. Fenny is attractive enough that Muko bought a body pillow of her after the fight with Roora.
* FriendlyEnemy: Implied in Chapter 2 with Fenny and Roora despite having a brutal fight.
* FriendToAllChildren: Kalita acts like a CoolBigSis to the kids of her orphanage.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: Happens in many chapters of the comic.
** In Chapter 2, when Manugo is talking with Muko, the RobotMaid he hired malfunctions and attacks a client. Manugo notices and immediately ignores Muko to fire her and tell the scientist to get out of his store.
* FunnyTShirt: Muko likes wearing these in some chapters.
* FuroScene: The cover pages of the first chapters in Part 3 involve this trope with Muko, Cookie, and Kalita, ending with the three of them in a hot spring.
* FutileHandReach: At the end of the Masato Match, [[spoiler: Muko tries to save Adelgund from Nyarai by extending her hand to tag her out of the ring. Adelgund refuses, since she knows that Muko will be injured, so she chooses to be defeated rather than get Muko hurt trying to delay the inevitable.]]
* TheGamblingAddict: This is how Cookie got into such a high debt as revealed in Chapter 21. Due to lack of income for two years, she resorted to gambling to keep herself going. However, her poor luck made her lose all the money she had and even get serious debts that she's yet to pay.
* GamerChick: Muko is this. She even played fighting video games under the mistaken belief that they would make her a better fighter.
* GemEncrusted: Nyarai has a phone case filled with diamonds. It makes her look tacky according to Cookie, Mellow, and Jowdie.
* GenkiGirl: Muko is optimistic, excitable, and hyperactive, especially if it involves furry fighting.
* GetOut: [[spoiler: As part of Muko being allowed to try furry fighting again, Saniko orders her to move out of the house in order to learn responsibility. Muko is forced to live on Cookie's office (a janitor's closet) until she gets enough money to buy an apartment.]]
* GetOverHere: Invoked by Nyarai, who wears long earrings so that her opponents pull her towards them. Since Nyarai is a CombatSadomasochist and a striker, she doesn't mind getting hit as long as she can hit back harder.
* TheGhost: Gantus and Freydar were mentioned on Part 1, but made no appearances until Part 3.
* TheGift:
** Cookie notices on two separate occasions that Kalita and Nyarai have natural talent as Combagals. Kalita has the charisma of a biker leader and developed fighting skills and Nyarai knows how to [[SpotlightStealingSquad draw attention to herself.]]
** Ida is described by Cookie as having a third eye for fashion that made her the best tailor in Tendonchi.
* GirlOnGirlIsHot: A main appeal for fans (and Muko) when watching furry fighting is that the matches involve attractive females fighting each other.
** Muko wants to invoke this in the early chapters by becoming a Combagal to fight attractive females.
** Harry and Geffan blush when Muko grabs Kalita.
* GlassJawReferee: A referee can also be hit by a Combagal in the middle of a match, although this is a rare occasion.
** It happens on Chapter 16 [[spoiler:when Adelgund smacks the referee unconscious for trying to penalize her just when she was about to break Peki's second leg. May also count as AssholeVictim as it is implied by Cookie in Chapter 14 that he took a bribe by Shun to let Nyarai brutalize Muko unfairly so the smack was well deserved.]]
* TheGlomp: Muko tends to give surprise hugs when excited. Cookie and Nyarai get annoyed with this trait. Cookie warms up by the end of Part 2 and is more comfortable with Muko touching her.
* {{Gonk}}: Brida, the Tendonchi Master of Pink Businesses, is a PerpetualSmiler with a tendency of making an exaggerated WildTake after another.
* GoodIsDumb: Muko is not smart, and she is easily distracted, but her heart is in the right place as seen with her interactions with Cookie.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Kalita has many fighting techniques thanks to years of fighting experience as a brawler. That being said, her punches are her strongest weapon.
* GrappleMove: Since furry fighting is based in pro-wrestling, grappling moves are one of the strongest basis in the repertoire of many Combagal. However, furry fighting is based in the ''puroresu'' style, that included striking martial arts, so Combagals that specialize in striking can win through knockout like Peki or Nyarai.
* GratuitousFrench: Chapter 29 has the phrase rien me va plus when playing roulette. The phrase means nothing goes anymore.
* GratuitousJapanese: The occasional Japanese words come out in some chapters.Justified as the setting is a FantasyCounterpartCulture of Japan.
* GroinAttack: A rare female example in Chapter 1 where Roora picks up Fenny and slams her crotch-first into her knee.
* GrowingUpSucks: Muko struggles to find her path in life since she's a high school reject. Meanwhile, Kalita is a great student, but she struggles with finding the path she desires.
* HappyEndingMassage: Mentioned during Muko's first visit to Monyan, one of the offers is having the Monyan girls give their clients a happy ending massages.
* HardHead: Muko takes many blows to the head in her fights, especially the NoHoldsBarredBeatdown sessions she got from Kalita [[spoiler: and Nyarai.]] It's subverted, as some chapters later have Muko experiencing random headaches despite weeks happening after receiving her injuries, implying that she may have collective damage.
* HarmlessFreezing: Tanka Talon makes her debut being frozen in a block of ice and then breaking out of it. She shows no discomfort from her freezing, even giving Snuggly a CurbStompBattle after getting out of the ice.
* HateAtFirstSight: Nyarai doesn't have a good opinion of Muko when she first meets her. She's not happy [[TheGlomp when Muko hugs her]] [[SelfieFiend and takes a selfie with her.]]
* HatedByAll: Cookie is disliked at the beginning of the comic because of a plot relevant NoodleIncident that gets explored as the series advances. Her past misdeeds as a manager (particularly a plot-important incident from two years prior) have made her shunned by nearly everyone in the pro-wrestling world. When Muko hires her out of ''laziness'' to avoid spending two years in a Combagal school, she's near-penniless. Cookie's currently trying to invert it.
* HatesBeingTouched: Cookie doesn't like [[TheGlomp Muko's random hugs, often protesting with the gesture.]] As of Part 3, it's subverted when Cookie becomes more receptive to Muko's hugs.
* HavingABlast: [[spoiler: This is how Leg Jet Burst ends. Nyarai focuses all of her energy into her foot to deliver a final kick to the opponent's face, creating an explosion that can break their jaw, give them a concussion, and send them flying. She finished off Adelgund this way in Chapter 17.]]
* HeartwarmingOrphan: The orphans at Yoko Orphanage are sweet little kids who bring out the best in Kalita.
* {{Heel}}: A villainous Combagal. They earn the disapproval of the public by fighting dirty and brutally. Scalitor is the symbol of the Heel.
* HeightAngst: Cookie is very sensitive about her short stature, claiming that she's tall for a squirrel. This is mainly overcompensation for her short height hindering her dream of becoming a Combagal.
* HeinousHyena: One of Kalita's underlings is a hyena. He's very violent and enjoys it. To Kalita's disappointment, he supports the ideals of Gantus in Chapter 27, leading to her cutting ties with him in the following chapter.
* HellholePrison: Chapter 47 shows Azdan, a prison that has cells that are very small and guards that beat up their prisoners. [[spoiler: Nyarai used to be in such a prison, resulting in her antagonistic personality.]]
* HelmetsAreHardlyHeroic: The Roda Kira Gang members didn't use helmets because they didn't consider them badass. This bit Debbie in the ass when she crashed her bike in a race with Gantus, putting her in the hospital for a while.
* HeroicSecondWind: Muko gets a couple of these when fighting Kalita thanks to a couple of motivational speeches from Cookie. While she still loses, it makes their bond stronger.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: Muko and Cookie are the protagonists and heroes of the story. However, some actions from their past and some enemies looking to destroy them have left them with tarnished names.
* HighClassCallGirl: Nyarai and the Cyclone Crushers work as hostesses when they're not fighting as Combagals.
* HoistHeroOverHead: Cookie visualizes Kalita as a Combagal when she sees the latter holding Muko above her head during her fight with her at Cafe Carrots.
* HollywoodHealing: Characters undergoing AmusingInjuries will be fine in a matter of panels or pages.
* HookerWithAHeartOfGold: Tasha, the boss of Monyan, allowed Cookie to set her office in the janitor's room rent-free for two years because one of her Combagals (Skully) saved her girls from an AttemptedRape two years ago. She and her friends also help Muko with her training in Chapter 25.
* HoneyTrap: [[spoiler: Miho, the newest member of the Exe-Cutie-Ves seduced Adelgund and joined the group to ensure Peki would betray Team Executor out of jealousy and heartbreak.]]
* HopelessBossFight:
** Most of Muko's major fights in Act 1 so far are one-sided defeats due to lack of training and experience. Kalita gave her a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown in their first fight, Adelgund spent most of the fight manhandling Muko in the debut fight, [[spoiler:Nyarai broke Muko in body and spirit after her betrayal,]] and Kalita technically beat Muko three times in their rematch. As of Part 3, she wants to subvert this by starting her Combagal training, [[spoiler:scoring her first victory against Snuggly and Sleepy at the end of Part 3 with Kalita's help.]]
** Kalita's fight with Gantus ends with a humiliating defeat. Gantus barely tries fighting at all. He blocks her ElementalPunch with a finger and then intimidates her with a loud bark when she tries again. The fight makes Kalita realize how outmatched she truly is, forcing her to run away.
* HostessClub: According to Cookie in Chapter 2, Nyarai works as a hostess in Club Diamond. In Chapter 6, she's seen working as a hostess in Club Nighthawk alongside other Combagals who turn out to be the Cyclone Crushers.
** Zebreastian, the receptionist of Monyan, used to work as a host, but changed careers after the work became too stressful for him.
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Cookie was one of the most influential managers of furry fighting two years before the comic started. She was called ''Fortune Cookie'' because she trained Combagals that always won. After Trilamity Day, her luck and popularity have gone downhill.
* HowWeGotHere: The comic occasionally moves forward in time in one chapter and then uses the next one to move back in time to build up the moment.
** Chapter 8 reveals that Muko met Nyarai and took a selfie with her. However, the audience only see their meeting in a flashback in Chapter 9. Later, the next chapter shows how Cookie set up the match with Team Executor in the first place by moving backwards further and shifting the narrative perspective to her and Nyarai.
* HumanHammerThrow: Adelgund easily does this to Muko in Chapter 12 thanks to the size difference between them.
* HumanPopsicle: Tanka Talon is frozen in a block of ice when she's introduced. Her entrance to her fight with Snuggly has her burst out of her ice prison through sheer brute strength.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: Nyarai fights the first half of the Masato match using traditional wrestling with her own personal spin. However, she's actually a KickChick who's a lot stronger when she pulverizes her opponents with her legs.
* IdiotHero: Muko only knows the names of the Combagals and that's mainly because she ''only'' bothered to watch the pictures in her Combagals magazines rather than read the articles. She's also easily distracted by perverted thoughts, meaning that Cookie has to put extra effort in making her lessons stick.
** Adelgund seems to fit this category as well. Despite being an experienced, powerful and beloved Combagal, she seems to be oblivious to certain social cues or things that are in plain sight, for example [[spoiler:when she failed to notice Peki's obvious discomfort at the fact their manager was using her status as the Wild to pit her in villainous roles in their matches, and later on when she didn't notice Nyarai was using her phone to record the incriminating conversation between Cookie and Dinedon...despite holding her phone and looking straight at it.]]
* IdolSinger: Snuggly and Sleepy.
* IHatePastMe: After the events of Part 2 forced her to face her past, Cookie shows signs of it in Part 3 when confronted with consequences of her earlier behavior as ''Fortune Cookie'' as she realizes what a horrible person she was and how she turned her back on her ideals.
* IKissYourFoot: The cover and climax of Chapter 33 as a whole. After spending most of her time bullying Mellow, Nyarai has Mellow, under Jowdie's suggestion kneel down and beg her to smell her feet to see if they smell like popcorn as suggested by a rumor Jowdie heard about cat paw pads. Realizing that Nyarai is ordering to do so under threat of assault, Mellow complies and realizes that her paws ''do'' smell like popcorn. Nyarai and Jowdie are [[ActuallyPrettyFunny amused by his honesty, causing Nyarai to stop bullying him and develop a liking towards Mellow.]]
* IKnowMortalKombat: This is how Muko trained for furry fighting in the first chapters. She replaced RPG games for fighting games. Predictably, they're no replacement to fighters with real experience.
* ILetYouWin: Matches where ThrowingTheFight was declared by the managers and fighters have the losing fighters allowing themselves to be defeated to hype the winners. This is also the main occupation of a {{Jobber}} Combagal regardless of how they got the position.
** [[spoiler: Peki was forced to lose a fight against Adelgund to promote her as a hero. She was also made a {{Jobber}} to fight Combagals with only a fraction on her strength so that Adelgund could defeat them. When Peki leaves Team Executor to fight Adelgund, she nearly wins, losing more because she let her guard down than Adelgund being a better fighter than her.]]
** [[spoiler: Snuggly and Sleepy, as revealed by Daikarin in Chapter 37, agreed to lose to Muko and Kalita to promote Team Star Killer as a {{Heel}} team. In return, Team Star Killer needs to become the Tendonchi Champions and allow Snuggly and Sleepy to beat them six months later.]]
* ImagineSpot: Frequently used to show visual metaphors, gags, flashbacks, and other storytelling techniques. It depends on the character having them.
** Muko's imaginative scenarios are almost always perverted, reflecting her libido.
* ImprobableAge: Stonk is the Master of Arcade of the Tendonchi Masters. This makes him one of the three highest authorities in Tendonchi by having him be one of the three judges who will determine who will face the Tendonchi Champions. He's also a kid who goes to cram school compared to his fellow Tendonchi Masters, who are adults.
* ImprobablyFemaleCast: Most of the cast is female due to the Combagals being female fighters, and that's not including friends and relatives. That being said, there are male characters in the story, but they don't have as much importance to the story as the Combagals.
* ImprovisedTraining: Since Muko and Cookie are incapable of using gyms due to their negative reputations, Chapter 25 has the pair start Muko's training by using basic exercises to build the foundations (push-ups, sit-ups, squats, jogging, and sprinting). Then they use their personal belongings like gym equipment, such as boxes, bags, and the soapland dildoes as makeshift gym equipment.
* InASingleBound: Muko's legs are strong enough to leap over a group of bodyguards trying to detain her on Chapter 2. She weaponizes her jumping strength when performing a dropkick she learned from Cookie.
* IncompatibleOrientation: Mellow has a crush on Muko, who is a very girl-crazy lesbian, who is in love with every pretty girl she sees, most of which are probably straight, as seen when she asked out Tasha and she gently rejected her by pointing out she preferred the company of men.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Muko dresses provocatively, which earns the attention of Mellow and the approval of Cookie. She weaponizes this trope to win TheBet against the maids of Cafe Carrots by using clumsiness and her maid outfit.
** Snuggly's products besides singing end up being too seductive for most audiences, which causes her manager to cut the commercials short.
* InstantCostumeChange: Cookie has the ability to switch Muko's attires with a single movement. She does this in both of her fights with Kalita.
* InstantHumiliationJustAddYouTube: The Spotter is a media website that, according to Cookie, focuses more on sensationalistic approach rather than facts. Sure enough, they constantly make articles that slander/libel Muko and Cookie, damaging their reputation.
* InstantWinCondition: As the Masato champion, defeating Adelgund is the quickest way to obtain the belt. [[spoiler: Even though Muko was still in fighting condition, the fight immediately ended when Adelgund was defeated by Nyarai.]]
* InterspeciesAdoption: Kalita's childhood friend was a pig who was adopted by [[InterspeciesRomance a cervine father and a canine mother.]]
* InterspeciesRomance: Most of the characters in the comic, especially Muko, show interest or a desire for a relationship with members of different species.
** Adelgund, a dog, is implied to be in a relationship with Peki, a penguin, based on their interactions during the Masato Match.
** In Kalita's flashback in Chapter 36, her friend was adopted by a cervine father and a canine mother.
* IntrepidReporter: The Spotter gets one in Part 3 who tries to sabotage Muko and Cookie by finding out about their shady pasts. [[spoiler: She's also Miho, the Exe-Cutie-Ves newest member who turned out to be a traitor.]]
* IsThisThingStillOn: In Chapter 32, Snuggly's microphone is still on at the wrong time, as part of her backstory. [[spoiler:After getting a score of zero in an important tournament due to Sleepy's absence and her mentor crossdressing to help her, Snuggly explodes as she badmouths the crowd for not caring about her performance because Sleepy didn't sing with her and also her teacher because his attempts to help humiliated her. She doesn't realize that she still had her microphone on, leading to her fans turning against her for the insults at them. Fortunately, Snuggly made a new image for herself a year later by changing her image.]]
* ItsAllMyFault: Cookie has this attitude in Chapter 19, [[spoiler:refusing to talk to Muko out of guilt and shame for getting her hurt by not preventing Nyarai's betrayal. She only talks with Muko because Saniko forces her to snap Muko out of her depression.]]
* JapaneseDelinquents: The Roda Kira Gang have some elements of ''bĹŤsĹŤzoku'' bikers. Some of them like Kalita are still in high school.
* TheJinx: Cookie is called Misfortune Cookie because every time she tries something, which ranges from gambling to her profession, she's met with bad luck that also affects those associated with her.
* {{Jobber}}: Discussed and explained. As it turns out, Combagals who lose their first match become this trope and they are destined to lose to make other Combagals look better in comparison. [[spoiler:This happens to Peki, and to further rub salt in the wound, her manager Dinedon uses her status as the Wild to pit her in villainous jobber roles in order to boost Adelgund's reputation.]]
* JunkieParent: Both of Kalita's parents are stated to be one in Chapter 34. They even die by overdose.
* KavorkaMan: Gender-flipped. Adelgund has a masculine appearance and she's also larger than most characters, but she's very popular. The Exe-Cutie-Ves all have a crush on her despite not being as attractive as other Combagals, implying that Adelgund attracts them with her strength and charm.
* {{Kayfabe}}: Discussed in Part 2 and implied across the comic. Many characters point out that pro-wrestling isn't real, mentioning how the fights are fixed. However, Cookie also mentions shoot-fighting, where the fights become real.
* KickChick: Nyarai has a strong preference for kicks by using her long legs and feline agility and flexibility. Her debut chapter has her literally kick out a hippo who was groping her, she stomped Cookie to the ground with a windmill kick, and she was going to start her fight with Peki with a descending overhead kick. Official art for her debut fight even has her do a flying crescent kick, further showcasing her preference for using her legs to damage her opponents.
* KickTheDog: Nyarai does this a lot on Part 2 by disrespecting Cookie despite being her manager, letting Muko be pummeled by Adelgund, [[spoiler: betraying them, beat up Muko, mock Cookie by reminding her of Freydar, hospitalize Adelgund, and stomp on her face to do her victory pose.]]
* KillerBearHug: Adelgund uses one in Chapter 15 [[spoiler: to restrain Peki and ask her why she betrayed her, setting up a flashback sequence.]]
* KillItWithFire: [[spoiler:Trilamity Day reveals that a dragon from Kalandesia invaded Botaun, using its fire breath to burn down the Science District. This resulted in many citizens burning to death, including Muko's mother.]]
* KingOfBeasts: Donkizari, fittingly enough, is [[WorldsStrongestWoman the Continental Champion of Concatta]] and a lioness to boot. Leyline, the second founding member of the Roda Kira Gang is also a lion.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm:
** The Exe-Cutie-Ves try to arrest Shun Gonfano for interrupting the fight between Team Deliverance and Team Executor.Shun came prepared and brought all of the Cyclone Crushers, forcing the Exe-Cutie-Ves back as they realized that they were outnumbered and outmatched.
** This is also a trait of Kalita as she knows the limits of her power clearly to know when a fight is a lost cause. [[spoiler: She refuses to become Muko's replacement tag partner to face Skully and Bolouma because Muko is weak and will not become strong enough to face them in a month, leaving Kalita to face them by herself in the worst case scenario.]] She also tries to recruit Debbie to defeat Gantus, implying that she knows that she can't beat him on her own.
* LadyInAPowerSuit: Cookie's trademark outfit as a manager is a classy blue suit shown in the cover art and the final chapter of Part 3.
* LadyLooksLikeADude: Adelgund, the Masato Champion, is a very large woman with a masculine appearance. Muko is dismayed that she's her first opponent.
* LastMinuteHookUp: [[spoiler: Cookie and Daikarin get engaged two days after the Cookie Crumble Match.]]
* TheLastStraw: Chapter 16 reveals that [[spoiler:Peki was willing to forget and forgive all of Adelgund's transgressions as long as they got to be a {{Face}} team again. Then she found her having sex with Miho, who was later turned into the latest member of the Exe-Cutie-Ves.]]
* LegFocus: All of Nyarai's outfits leave her legs bare, showing how long, shapely, and muscular they are. Justified as Nyarai is [[ProudBeauty proud of her beauty]] and [[KickChick she uses her legs for powerful kicks as her fighting style.]]
* LeotardOfPower: A very common attire for Combagals because it provides mobility for arms and legs and fanservice. Muko and Fenny use leotards as their outfits.
* LiteralMinded: Muko takes everything Cookie says literally such as the world is your stage means that she can fight anywhere she wants, meaning that she's going to fight Kalita despite her not being a furry fighter. She also misunderstood the {{Face}} term and assumed that Donkizari had a large face.
* LivingLegend: Donkizari is treated and referred as a living legend for being the undefeated Continental Champion of Concatta. For reference, she had the title since Cookie was a little girl.
* LoanShark: Cookie is constantly under threat of loan sharks due to her high debts.
** By the end of Part 2 and beginning Part 3, Kalita is the loan shark sent to get Cookie's payment.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Because of her impatience, short attention span, and lack of priorities, Muko is the only person in the setting who doesn't know about Cookie's bad reputation as a manager. She finds out in Chapter 14 and gets the details in Chapter 18 and Chapter 19. While disappointed with Cookie, she's understanding and forgiving, leading to the two having a stronger bond and having CharacterDevelopment that keeps going in Part 3.
* LoonyFan: In the second chapter, Muko has to be restrained by security guards when she tries to meet Fenny and Roora. She's even called a crazy fan by the guards as they demand reinforcements.
* LoserLeavesTown: This is the losing condition of TheBet in Chapter 31 regardless of which version was made: [[spoiler:If Muko and Kalita lose the match, they have to leave Botaun with Cookie, which is a career killer for furry fighters.]]
* LovedByAll: Adelgund is established as being universally loved by the crowd as a champion, and by her team of assistants. [[spoiler:Painfully subverted when Peki reveals their history in front of the audience, where Peki's status as a Wild was used by their manager, Dinedon, as publicity stunt for their battles. Adelgund played along, never inquiring about Peki's feelings on the matter...and was then caught cheating on Peki with one of the groupies. Adelgund's reputation eventually falls into the gutter when she mercilessly breaks Peki's arm and legs in front of everyone.]]
* LustfulMelt: When Muko is surrounded by too many attractive girls and aroused to a certain level, she will literally melt. This becomes a part of her CharacterDevelopment as Muko acknowledges it as a weakness that she needs to overcome.
* MadeOfIron: Combagals are naturally tough because of their training.
** Fenny won the fight against Roora by exploiting an opening after enduring a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown that included a repeated BreastAttack and ended with a GroinAttack that left her in the ground.
** Muko can take a lot of punishment bordering on StoneWall even before starting her Combagal training.
** Besides having SuperStrength thanks to her size, Adelgund boasts great defense. [[spoiler: At the Masato match, she fought the longest against Muko, Nyarai, Peki, and then Nyarai again.]]
* MadScientist: PlayedForLaughs when one tries to get Cafe Carrots to hire his RobotMaid and HilarityEnsues when she starts malfunctioning.
* TheMagazineRule: Furry fighting is so popular that there are lots of magazines about Combagals showing in different chapters. Some of them are gravure and others are interviews with new and old Combagals.
* MaleGaze: Some male fans can spots butts and cleavages of the girls in this story.
* MaliciousSlander: The Spotter does this by virtue of being a tabloid that specializes in controversy. That being said, it delves into this in Part 3.
* ManipulativeBastard: Shun Gonfano. Despite his seemingly friendly, sympathetic and helpful disposition towards Nyarai and her goal to end the discrimination against the Wilds, there are hints that he's merely using her for some secret agenda of his own. [[spoiler:When Adelgund severely injures her by breaking her nose, Shun reacts with smug indifference and refuses to let others take Nyarai to the infirmary.]]
* MaskedLuchador: This is Muko's attire as seen in the cover of Act 1.
* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: In Chapter 26, while Muko is training, Cookie sees and takes a poster in the background. At the end of the chapter, she tells Muko that they will meet her future trainer, Daikarin, who debuts in Chapter 32.
* MeaningfulRename: In Chapter 35, [[spoiler: the fight between Snuggly and Sleepy ends with them reconciling and becoming a tag team again. They rename themselves the Redoable Dolls to symbolize their reunion while also acknowledging their individual growth provided by their separation.]]
* MegatonPunch: Combagals are stronger than the average citizen. They can easily [[PunchedAcrossTheRoom knock each other around the ring.]] As such, getting on the wrong end of their blows if you're not one of them can be painful...
** Roora, unhappy at Muko barging into the shower rooms while she and Fenny were bathing, gave her and the security guards a kick that sent them crashing against a wall.
** Nyarai shows her true Combagal side by kicking a hippo on the face, deforming it and sending him flying out of Club Nighthawk, causing him to crush a sign.
** Kalita punched Muko so hard that she sent her head first into a wall, cracking the tiles and knocking her out.
* {{Meido}}: The waitresses at Cafe Carrots dress like this. Muko dress like one when competing against them in Chapter 3.
* MentorsNewHope: Muko is one of two clients (the other being Nyarai) that Cookie has in two years, and she is the only one of the two who treats her with respect, trust, and admiration despite her poor record as a manager.[[spoiler: After Nyarai betrays them at the Masato Match, Muko becomes Cookie's lifeline because Muko forgives Cookie for failing her, and doesn't judge her for what happened on Trilamity Day. As of Part 3, Cookie is putting more effort in training Muko and has more PetTheDog moments with her.]]
* MinidressOfPower: Snuggly and Sleepy are IdolSinger Combagals who were minidresses as part of their ensemble. Their dresses are designed to help them fight in the ring or to perform as idols.
* MinorMajorCharacter: Fenny and Roora only appear in the first chapter, but their fight inspires Muko to become a Combagal. Fenny even gives Muko instructions on how to become a Combagal after the latter bursts into the showers to talk to her and Roora in a flashback.
* MissingMom: Muko's mother is frequently mentioned, but she's yet to appear in the comic. It is implied that she's a sore spot for Muko and Saniko.
* TheMole: [[spoiler:Nyarai is this for Shun Gonfano by working as Cookie's Combagal and then recording incriminating evidence before her debut match to destroy her manager's reputation so that Nyarai can switch to Shun's Cyclone Crushers to promote them.]]
* MouthyKid: Despite his young age, Stonk is very disrespectful towards his fellow Tendonchi Masters, who are both older than him by a few decades. He tells Golgadoo to his face that his Gastronomy Challenge was boring, earning the wrath of the rooster.
* MrExposition: Cookie acts like this for Muko since the latter doesn't know much of pro-wrestling in the first place.
* MsFanservice: Most Combagals are attractive young females who wear revealing or form-fitting clothes. According to Cookie in Chapter 2, providing fanservice is one of the responsibilities a Combagal needs to accomplish.
* MurderousThighs: Roora and Fenny do this to each other in their fight. [[spoiler: Nyarai also tortures Muko by choking her with her legs.]]
* MusclesAreMeaningful: While Combagals are attractive, some of them do carry muscular bodies as a result of their training while still conserving their beauty like Roora and Nyarai. Donkizari and Scalitor are among the strongest Combagals in the lore and they have muscular appearances as well.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Most of the Combagals are attractive and shapely young women who fight larger and more muscular women. They can still fight and win despite those odds. The Masato match zigzags with this trope. [[spoiler: Muko avoids this in her two fights since she has little muscle but gets manhandled by Adelgund and Nyarai due to the former being larger than her and the latter being more athletic. Peki played it straight as she's the smallest fighter and yet had the advantage against Adelgund. Meanwhile, Nyarai PlayedWith this trope as she has defined abs and muscular legs. She beats Muko with athletic prowess and her true power allows her to defeat Adelgund despite size difference.]]
* MyBelovedSmother: This is Muko's main problem with Saniko as expressed in Chapter 19. Deep down, Muko wants validation as a person and as an adult. However, Saniko treats her as a child because of her failures, preventing harmony between the sisters. She resolves to treat Muko better by [[spoiler: having her move out of the house in order to learn independence.]]
* MyGreatestFailure: Cookie considers Trilamity Day to be this, mainly because of what happened during it and the aftermath. [[spoiler: The Masato match is a close second for getting Muko hurt and traumatized by Nyarai when she could have easily prevented her betrayal by researching her client.]]
* NaiveNewcomer: Muko starts the comic like this, treating furry fighting as a chance to wrestle with attractive girls. By the end of Part 2 she's became aware of her status and is spending her time from Part 3 onwards trying to subvert it.
* NaturalWeapon: Deconstructed with Ida. Being a hedgehog with oversized quills makes her incapable of furry fighting as she's incapable of wrestling without hurting her opponent by mistake.
* TheNapoleon: Cookie is sensitive about her height, but she's also HotBlooded and [[SuddenlyShouting prone to shouting when things surprise her.]]
* NeckLift: Happens in Chapter 31, [[spoiler: when Freydar grabs Golgadoo by the neck and throws him into the crowd when he tried to stop her from challenging Cookie.]]
* NeverBringAKnifeToAFistFight: As shown in Chapter 29, Kalita has no trouble beating a knife wielder in a fight, even doing so [[OneHitKill with a single blow!]]
* NeverMyFault: Muko has this attitude regarding her bad relationship with her peers and boss, not acknowledging that she had poor work ethic and she was harassing her fellow maids.
* NeverSmileAtACrocodile: Scalitor is an alligator and she's the greatest {{Heel}} of the comic as she fought [[WorldsStrongestWoman Donkizari,]] the maximum {{Face}} authority [[ChairmanOfTheBrawl and hit her with a chair.]]
* NextTierPowerUp: Parodied at the end of Muko's rematch with Kalita. She gets longer hair and a BattleAura after a RousingSpeech from Cookie. And then Kalita beats her with one blow from her strongest technique.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Muko's fight with Kalita is this from beginning to end, especially with her perverted antics pissing her off.
* NoodleIncident: Trilamity Day is an incident that caused Cookie to be hated by wrestling fans two years before the story started.
** She gives details on Chapter 18 regarding the incident: [[spoiler: She overworked a promising Combagal named Freydar, who got a CareerEndingInjury because of it. As a result, Cookie lost a lot of respect from wrestling fans, her former Combagals, and other training institutions.]]
* NoSell: Tanka Talon tanks everything Snuggly throws at her due to being heavier and more muscular than her, giving her a CurbStompBattle in Chapter 11.
** For a scarier version, Nyarai's AbnormalLimbRotationRange makes her immune to submission holds, which is the main weapon of most wrestlers. [[spoiler: Adelgund is horrified by this information as Nyarai decimates her shortly afterward.]]
* NoSocialSkills: Muko is very blunt, can't talk to men, invades personal space, and is open about expressing her libido. As of Part 3, she's becoming more reserved, mature, and tries to control her libido thanks to CharacterDevelopment from her first match.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Nobody ever lets Cookie forget her role in Trilamity Day, which she's trying to move on. Lampshades on Chapter 24 where she gets after being rejected three times on three different gyms and she assumes it's because of her role in Trilamity Day.
* OnceMoreWithClarity: [[spoiler: As the Masato match keeps moving FromBadToWorse with each chapter. Several characters have flashbacks with their own perspectives that contribute to the tragedy. Adelgund is mad at Peki because she was supposed to pull a HeelFaceTurn at the end so that they could return to being a {{Face}} team again. Peki is mad at Adelgund for betraying her years ago and because she cheated on her with Miho before the match. Later, Cookie angrily discovers that Dinedon took a bribe from Shun before the match.]]
* OneHitKill: Adelgund gives this to Nyarai with one well-placed knee to the snout that leaves her with a massive nosebleed once the fight gets serious.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Kalita agrees to become a Combagal at Champubator Agency, because winning the Tendonchi Tag Team Championship means that she'll get the money that Cookie needs to pay for her loan shark agency.
* OnlyOneName: Most characters are called by a single name and with no surname at all. Eventually subverted as more chapters start coming.
** Peki is introduced as Peki Polight in Chapter 9, being the first character to have her surname revealed.
** Cookie has her surname L'asagne revealed in Chapter 11.
** Muko, Saniko, and Bill have their surname revealed in Chapter 24 thanks to the Spotter.
** Mellow greets Jowdie as Jowdie Moohoshi upon meeting her in Chapter 33.
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent: As it turns out Kalita and her underlings are this when they're not at the Roda Kira Gang, as revealed in Chapter 26.
* OriginsEpisode:
** Chapter 15 shows how Peki and Adelgund became champions in a flashback.
** Chapter 19 shows Cookie's past [[spoiler:after Trilamity Day and how she became a BrokenPedestal to the Cyclone Crushers after selling them to Shun Gonfano.]]
* OrphanageOfLove: From what can be seen of Kalita's orphanage, it has good living accommodations for her and other orphans of different ages. She also encourages this atmosphere by being a CoolBigSis who cooks for them.
* OutOfFocus: Despite being two of the four protagonists, Kalita and Nyarai didn't get much spotlight in Part 2 and Part 3 respectively. Kalita only appeared in flashbacks or was mentioned in Part 2, only making a significant appearance in the last pages of Chapter 19. Meanwhile, Nyarai didn't make significant appearances in Part 3 besides flashbacks and cameos, only appearing in ADayInTheLimelight in Chapter 33.
* OverlyLongTongue: Copymeleon shows her chameleon physiology by flicking her long tongue in Chapter 6 when the major Cyclone Crushers are introduced.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: According to Cookie in a flashback with Nyarai in Chapter 7, she excels at getting the attention of the audience with her fighting skills, allowing her to do this to most Combagals fighting alongside her.
** [[spoiler: This is the reason Peki gives for betraying Adelgund in Chapter 13. The truth is more complicated.]]
** [[spoiler: Muko feels this way after her debut in Chapter 18 as Peki nearly defeated Adelgund, Adelgund defeated Peki and Nyarai in their first fight, and Nyarai easily bested Adelgund in her second fight, becoming the champion. In contrast, Muko was easily bested by Nyarai and could not save Adelgund, which caused her to quit furry fighting out of guilt and powerlessness.]]
* PantheraAwesome: There are many large cats in the cast that are as badass as their species they were born in.

** Tanka Talon is a saber tooth tiger who makes her debut by breaking out of a coffin of ice.
** Leyline is the second founding member of the Roda Kira Gang. He is a BadassBiker and the NumberTwo of the gang in both of its iterations.
* ParentalAbandonment: Muko and Saniko's father, Bill Bunburger suffers from depression and is unable to take care of his daughters. Their mother is implied to have either left or died. This forces Saniko to take care of Muko and Bill, greatly stressing her out. Meanwhile, Muko wants validation and support, something she doesn't get from Saniko.
* ParentalSubstitute: Cookie is slowly becoming a parental figure to Muko since Saniko is too smothering, Bill is too depressed, and Muko's mother is absent. She gives Muko lessons about furry fighting and life, cares for her well-being, and tries to help her deal with obstacles through her advice.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: [[spoiler: Adelgund busts Nyarai's nose for giving Muko a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown that left her crying and she also knocks out the referee who allowed the beating to take place. For her part, Nyarai breaks Adelgund's jaw and gives her a concussion with an explosive kick and stomps on her unconscious face for breaking Peki's limbs and forcing her to be a {{Jobber}} to promote herself as a champion of justice due to prejudice against Wilds.]]
* PerpetualSmiler: Patchwork has an enthusiastic and encouraging smile when she trains you and when she's shoving you out of her ring.

* PomPomGirl: Cookie's Combagal idea for Muko and Kalita's tag team in Chapter 29 involves them fighting as cheerleaders. Muko is into it, but Kalita looks embarrassed. Many characters, like Ida, believe the look don't suit them at all.
* PoorCommunicationKills: The Masato match is filled with instances of this. [[spoiler: Nyarai points out to Cookie that she would have figured Nyarai was TheMole and prevented the chaos had she bothered finding out more about her. Likewise, Adelgund is InnocentlyInsensitive to Peki's feelings and brushes them off when she tries to talk whereas Peki tries to talk passive-aggressively.]]
* PosterGalleryBedroom: Muko's room is covered in Combagal posters to show her love of furry fighting and her crush on the Combagals who engage in the sport.
* ThePowerOfPotential: Muko is a NaĂŻveNewcomer with zero experience in athletics and no knowledge of furry fighting. However, she displays great resistance to damage, agility, and has shades of Determinator that cause her manager Cookie to hire her. Despite her lack of experience, Cookie considers Muko a diamond in the rough because of these traits. And she's proven right during the final fight of Arc 1, where Muko is capable of fighting equally with a champion Combagal.
* PrefersGoingBarefoot: Nyarai, Cookie, Peki. Also most Combagals inside the ring prefer to fight barefooted or with no shoes at all for better movement.
* PregnantBadass: Defied. Debbie is heavily pregnant and goes WhatTheHellHero on Kalita for trying to fight her despite having a baby inside. To Kalita's credit, she didn't know and feels guilty about it.

** Donkizari has a drink named Donko Brew and she's starring in a war movie.
** Snuggly uses her matches to promote her singer career and products.
* PromotedToParent: Saniko has to work and take care of her sister Muko, which is taking a toll on her mental health as Muko gets fired from jobs and pursues many passions that she gives up later on.
* ProtectionRacket: Muko and Cookie met Kalita when Kalita and her subordinates were doing a shakedown on Cafe Carrots while Muko and Cookie were doing TheBet for some earnings.
* ProWrestlingIsReal: The comic recognizes how pro-wrestling can be a choreographed fight so it makes the difference between kayfabe and shoot fighting. The former is when fights are arranged without anyone getting hurt and the latter is fighting for real.
* PublicBathhouseScene: The cover page of Chapter 24 is Muko, Cookie, and Kalita sharing a bath.
* PunchCatch: Happens in a couple of fights when one opponent is of equal or greater strength than the other one.
** Chapter 16 has a scary one [[spoiler: between Adelgund and Peki. Adelgund is suffering a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown from Peki, but she manages to recover and push through the barrage to catch one of her flippers and break her arm, ending the match.]]

* RainOfSomethingUnusual: Cookie makes [[spoiler: her Heel debut as Money Grubber Cookie]] by making Moni rain down on the audience, which is actually CounterfeitCash as she is in debt and cannot waste money around.
* RebuiltPedestal: After showing her strength for the first time in years [[spoiler:Peki recovers her original popularity for nearly defeating Adelgund and tagging Nyarai in despite having three broken limbs.]]
* RedBaron: The best Combagals have a special name for them that reflects their abilities.
** Adelgund is called ''The Major'' As she was supposed to be a champion of justice in a period of civil unrest.
** Peki was called ''The Prisoner'' to reflect social mistrust against Wilds. Her original name was ''Punching Peki'' because of her being a BoxingBattler who used her flippers for devastating punches.
** Nyarai is called ''The Invincible'' due to her AbnormalLimbRotationRange making her immune to submission holds.
* RedemptionQuest: Cookie's character arc is that besides wanting to recover her reputation as a manager by raising decent Combagals again, she also wants to make up for her mistakes as ''Fortune Cookie'' that [[spoiler:hospitalized Freydar and alienated the Fortune Gals into joining the Cyclone Crushers.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Debbie, the original leader of the Roda Kira Gang, had bloodshot eyes and was a great fighter. Subverted now that she's a RetiredBadass and is happy and satisfied with being a housewife.
* RedIsHeroic: Kalita wears a red bodysuit and is the most honorable member of the Roda Kira Gang. That being said, [[RedIsViolent she's still brutal in her fighting style.]]
* RedIsViolent: Kalita, despite her noble side, can enter an UnstoppableRage when pushed too far. Her first fight with Muko ended when Kalita gave Muko a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown that left her unconscious.
* RedLightDistrict: Tendonchi has many pink businesses such as hostess clubs, soaplands, and one of the Tendonchi Challenges involves Combagals proving their beauty to Brida, the maximum authority of Tendonchi in pink businesses.
* TheResenter: Downplayed, but Muko shows that deep down she holds grudges against those who look down on her and strives to prove them wrong rather than let that feeling consume her.
* RetiredBadass: Debbie was the original leader of the Roda Kira Gang. However, she was beaten by Gantus in a race and suffered an accident. As she recovered, she fell in love with her doctor and married him. She is currently pregnant with his child. Kalita is not happy to hear this, especially when Debbie tells her to forget about the gang they created.
* {{Revenge}}: It's a common motivation for some of the important characters in the comic.
** [[spoiler: Nyarai hated working alongside Cookie, but considers the squirrel's suffering in Chapter 14 to be WorthIt as she emotionally tortures her through Muko. The reason she's going so far is that she was a close acquaintance of Freydar, Cookie's former client who got a CareerEndingInjury because of her.]]
* RewatchBonus: Most chapters have {{Foreshadowing}} or an EarlyBirdCameo that makes reading the previous chapters necessary to better understand the plot. For example, [[spoiler:a seemingly random Café Carrots patron from the first few chapters is eventually revealed as an editor for The Spotter website.]]
* RighteousRabbit: Muko can hardly be described as a good person on first sight because of her perverted motives, but she has a sense of justice, like fighting Kalita to defend the money of Cafe Carrots. She also has a sense of loyalty to Cookie and can show a compromise to better herself as a person after the Masato match.
* TheRival: Muko makes [[spoiler:Nyarai]] her rival at the end of Part 2.

* RollerbladeGood: Harry knows how to skate. [[spoiler: And he uses his skating skills to attack Miho with a bat.]]
* RoundhouseKick: Kicks are allowed in furry fighting matches. The roundhouse kick is one of the most used kicks in matches.
** Nyarai uses many variations of the roundhouse kick across the comic, such as a crescent kick, a downward roundhouse kick, and a shoot kick.
** Muko learns how to throw a roundhouse kick as part of her training in Chapter 25.
* RousingSpeech: Cookie starts giving these to Muko as of Part 3 to motivate her into becoming a better Combagal.
* SanitySlippage: [[spoiler: Harry is suffering from a mental decline as he can't stand Muko's reputation being tarnished. By Chapter 34, he assaults Miho with a bat for starting the smearing campaign against Muko in the first place.]]
* TheScapegoat: As of Part 3, this is the main strategy of the Spotter [[spoiler: to damage the reputation of Muko and Cookie. They try to paint Muko as a manipulator that convinced her high school teacher to sleep with her. They also try to act as if Muko conspired with Kalita to destroy Cafe Carrots despite them not knowing each other at the time.]]
* ScarsAreForever: [[spoiler: Freydar still has a scar on the side of her head two years after her last match.]]
* SceneryPorn: The settings are very detailed, particularly Tendonchi during the night. It even shows posters and billboards promoting other Combagals.
* TheScrooge: Cookie doesn't like spending money because of the huge amount of debts on her name.
* SelfMadeWoman: Ida Huggler was a hedgehog with nothing to her name except the clothes on her back when she first met Cookie three years before the comic started. By the time she's introduced, she became the best seamstress in Tendonchi.
* SelfServingMemory: Muko displays this kind of memory in Chapter 3 when explaining to Cookie why the Cafe Carrots has a grudge against her. She believes that her boss hit on her and has a grudge against her for rejecting him. In reality, they're mad at her for her poor work ethic and creepy behavior to her fellow waitresses.
* SevenDeadlySins: Most of the cast shows signs of these. Muko shows Lust, Cookie shows Greed, Kalita shows Wrath, and Nyarai shows Pride.
* SeriousBusiness: Furry fighting is very important in Concatta, the main setting of the comic. Many places in the story have billboards, posters, and magazines promoting Combagals. They also take the sport seriously enough to worship important figures like Donkizari, the Continental Champion, or despise Cookie for her role in Trilamity Day.
* SexinessScore: Muko rates Kalita as a 10 out of 10, mostly due to her [[BuxomBeautyStandard massive chest size]].
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Although Combagals are supposed to provide fanservice, Snuggly likes to make suggestive commercials when promoting herself. At one point, she does a commercial while taking a soap bath.
* ShockAndAwe: Kalita's strongest move is to cover her fist in lightning and deliver an ElementalPunch to her opponent. It's strong enough to defeat Muko in their rematch after her HeroicSecondWind on the previous chapter.
* ShoutOut:
** Muko's "heroic" speech and poses in Chapter 4 may bring [[Franchise/SailorMoon a certain other ditzy rabbit-themed girl's]] [[InTheNameOfTheMoon own speeches]] to mind.
** When discussing the "Roda Kira" name in Chapter 34, Kalita points out that the second half sounds like "killer", bringing [[Manga/{{Akira}} "that biker-anime"]] to mind.
** On Chapter 22 when Kalita decides to [[OneHitKill beat Muko by not laying a finger on her]] she flashes her breasts at Muko and Cookie, taking advantage of the former's [[WeaksauceWeakness admitted flaw]] is done so identically to a certain [[VideoGame/KillerInstinct orchid from a MK-esque fighting game]], [[FinishingMove complete with Muko being defeated with it]] and earning a DidntSeeThatComing from Cookie who [[MetaGuy points it out]].
* ShowerScene: Muko and Kalita have separate shower scenes at the beginning of Chapter 26.
* ShownTheirWork: The comic is a [[UnconventionalLearningExperience good way to learn about pro-wrestling]] as it introduces wrestling terms and techniques that the beginners won't know and that people familiar with the theme will recognize.
* ShowSomeLeg: According to Cookie, most Combagals dress provocatively for the sake of fanservice.
* SilkHidingSteel: As stated by Jowdie in Chapter 6, while the Cyclone Crushers are very friendly with their clients when they work as hostesses, they are ''still'' professional Combagals capable of defending themselves if a client violates their boundaries. Nyarai proves her point by literally kicking a hippo in the face hard enough to send him flying out of the club as punishment for groping her.
* SimpleYetAwesome: During her debut match, Muko shows that she learned a dropkick and a clothesline from Cookie's instructions. While not the most flashy moves in the sport, they're still among the most effective.
* SlasherSmile: One of Nyarai's specialties for taunting opponents or getting people in line.
* SmashSisters: Cookie describes tag teaming Combagals to be like this, which causes Muko to mention a tag team made of twin tigresses that also fits the trope literally.
* SmokingIsCool: Kalita smokes during fight intermissions or before she's about to fight.
* SmokingIsNotCool: Daikarin casually slaps a cigarette from Kalita's mouth, telling her to watch her health while she trains with her.

* SuddenlyShouting: Cookie is prone to this when emotional.
* SuperScream: Gantus can bark so loud that he creates shock waves. It manages to intimidate Kalita into retreating.
* SuperSpeed: Nyarai weaponizes this during her fights to throw kicks fast enough they turn invisible and set on fire.
** Muko also shows shades of this when pushing her body to the limits, running from one side of a city to another in a matter of minutes. By Part 3, she's learning to tap into it with training.
* SuperStrength: Adelgund has this because of her size.
* SuperWindowJump: Muko does this in Chapter 25 while carrying Cookie as she's about to start her training. Naturally, Cookie is more scared than impressed.
--->"I am not a football!"
* SupremeChef: This is one of the requirements that one of the Tendonchi Champions need to have, more specifically to fulfill the gastronomic challenges made by Golgadoo.
** Fittingly enough, Kalita is shown to be a good cook for her fellow orphans.
* SymbolicSereneSubmersion: Chapter 18 ends with one in a DownerEnding and Chapter 19 still has it in a DownerBeginning after a TimeSkip of two weeks.
* TagTeam: According to Cookie, the true heart of furry fighting lies in tag team fights. They're more popular than solo fights and two of the most important tournaments (the Tendonchi Challenges and the Queen of Fighters Tournament) revolve around them.
* TakeThatKiss: Adelgund kisses Muko on the cheek in the middle of a hold. Since she is a large, masculine woman rather than the attractive ladies that Muko desires to wrestle, Muko screams and breaks out of the hold.
* TakeThisJobAndShoveIt: Muko mocks her boss and declares her desire to become a Combagal when she quits her job at Cafe Carrots. Her boss doesn't mind and gladly kicks her out since Muko was a bad waitress anyway.

Her teacher sadly uses their relationship in an interview to discredit Muko by putting herself as a victim who was manipulated by her.]]
* TeensAreMonsters: Kalita's underlings, while weaker than her, are more vicious. One of them is shown to be an AxCrazy hyena [[BatterUp with a fondness for breaking stuff with a baseball bat]] and the other is an anteater who sexually harasses one of the maids of Cafe Carrots with his long tongue until Kalita stops him. Both of them are high school students.

** In Chapter 19, [[spoiler: Muko and Cookie cry and laugh as they reconcile.]]
** Kalita sheds tears after the founding of the Roda Kira Gang, happy to find a purpose in life thanks to Debbie and Leyline.
* TheatricsOfPain: As demonstrated by Adelgund against Muko in Chapter 12, professional Combagals can simulate devastating techniques without causing damage to their enemies. Muko notices that Adelgund didn't hurt her after being body slammed and that the sound was made by Adelgund hitting the mat with her arm.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: The events of Trilamity Day have left a stain on Cookie's reputation with wrestling fans. [[spoiler: She reveals in Chapter 18 that she caused her client Freydar, who was a gifted Combagal with the potential of defeating Donkizari, to suffer a CareerEndingInjury due to overworking her.]]
* ThoseTwoGuys: Mellow and Harry due to being Muko's only fans and hanging out together in her debut match.
* ThrowingTheFight: An event between managers and fighters [[ILetYouWin where one party agrees to lose on purpose.]] This was an important plot point for Part 2 where Cookie bribed Team Executor to lose the fight against Team Deliverance to let them win the Masato Match. [[GoneHorriblyWrong Let's just say things didn't turn out the way she expected them to be.]]
* TitleDrop: Some chapters are named after some meaningful dialogue that happens within them.

* TrashTheSet: Muko and Kalita destroy Cafe Carrots during their fight at the end of Chapter 5. To add insult to injury, Muko and Cookie have to pay for the damages.
* TwoGirlsAndAGuy: The Roda Kira Gang was formed by two females (Debbie and Kalita) and a male (Leyline).
* TwoLinesNoWaiting: Chapter 26 is divided in two perspectives that show Muko and Kalita's ordinary lives outside of furry fighting and the Roda Kira Gang.
* TurnTheOtherCheek: Muko shows enough emotional maturity to understand the wrongs other characters made and still forgive them. She forgives Cookie for their rocky start as manager and Combagal ([[spoiler:which included learning that Cookie overworked one of her Combagals to the breaking point, selling the Cyclone Crushers to Shun Gonfano, and also forgiving Cookie for getting her beat up by Nyarai]]), despite having all the right to mistrust her.

* VagueAge: The comic doesn't give the ages of the characters in Part 1 or Part 2, leaving viewers to calculate based on appearance.
** Subverted with Snuggly and Sleepy, who are 21 and 22 years old in Chapter 20.
* VillainRespect: Despite beating the snot out of Muko, Kalita expresses respect towards her since she was the only person willing to stand up to her, despite being far weaker, while everyone else at the diner just cowered in fear.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Shun Gonfano, the Cyclone Crushers, [[spoiler:and Nyarai become this after the Masato Championship by turning Muko, Cookie, and Adelgund into the villains of the fight through sheer manipulation.]]
* WaifFu: Peki is the smallest fighter of the Masato match, but she's Adelgund's tag partner, meaning she's as strong as her partner. [[spoiler: It turns out that she has enough punching strength to make Adelgund bleed and nearly win the match when she switches side. She only loses due to being a GlassCannon fighting against a MightyGlacier while forgetting about her opponent's strength.]]
* WallJump: Muko uses this in Chapter 21 to nail Kalita with a drop kick. It doesn't take her out, but it surprises Cookie how Muko cleverly used the move she taught her against a more skilled adversary.
* WalkingSwimsuitScene: Combagals can use swimsuits or bikinis as their fighting outfits for fanservice and freedom of movement like Roora, Peki, and Nyarai.
** The fanservice part of this comes when Cookie does a gravure shot with Muko and Kalita wearing swimsuits in Part 3.
** The Tendonchi Challenge of Brida involves Combagals doing oil wrestling while wearing swimsuits. Golgadoo and Stonk point out how undignified it is.
* WardrobeMalfunction: Muko breaks her pants while doing squats in Chapter 26, much to her chagrin.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Muko gets weak limbs the longer she's surrounded by beautiful females. At its peak, it turns into LustfulMelt that pretty much makes her useless in a fight.
* {{Wedgie}}: Roora gives one to Fenny during her NoHoldsBarredBeatdown for the sake of humiliating her and establishing dominance.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Sleepy and Snuggly were part of the same singing duo until Snuggly quit to become a Combagal. Sleepy then became a Combagal to fight her former friend in revenge. For her part, Snuggly still considers Sleepy her best friend and is distraught fighting her. [[spoiler: Subverted, as they reconcile at the end of the match. Chapter 37 implies their reconciliation occurred earlier offscreen based on a comment by Daikarin.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: Cookie gives one to Muko regarding her cavalier attitude towards the beating she received from Kalita, pointing out that as a Combagal she cannot risk injuring her body on the long term. She also mentally gives one to herself for convincing Muko to fight in the first place.

For her part, Adelgund was spiteful that Peki chose Nyarai as her new partner, going as far as to break her limbs out of spite.]]
* WorfEffect: The Masato Match is used to show the strength of a champion Combagal. Adelgund knocks out Nyarai with a single knee blow [[spoiler: in their first fight. And then Nyarai hospitalizes her in their second fight at the end of the match.]]
* WorkingClassHero: Cookie originally intended Muko to be a Combagal who represented the working class by having her work at Cafe Carrots in Chapter 3. 607* WrestlerInAllOfUs: It's a wrestling comic so the Combagals must know at least one wrestling move when entering the ring.
* {{Yakuza}}: Shun Gonfano and the sumiguza are the equivalent of yakuza.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Cookie gives these speeches to Muko as of Part 3, mainly when she gets depressed.
