''[[http://revfitz.com/chapter/kick-the-football-chuck/ Kick the Football, Chuck.]]'' is a BlackComedy webcomic by Rev. Michael Fitzgerald (creator of Webcomic/MrSquare and [[http://revfitz.com/existential-terror-breakfast/ Existential Terror and Breakfast]]) intended to be a {{Deconstruction}} of ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}''. In it, Charlie Brown goes bald because of chemotherapy and every common gag in Peanuts is shed in this light.

!!This webcomic contains examples of:

%%* BlackComedy
* CruelToBeKind: Lucy ''thinks'' that by yanking the football away every time Chuck tries to kick it, she's teaching him how to cope with unexpected obstacles.
%%* DarkerAndEdgier
%%* {{Deconstruction}}: Of ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}''.
%%* DrivenToSuicide: [[spoiler:Charlie Brown]].
* HopeSpot: Lucy decides to ThrowTheDogABone and let Chuck kick the ball to help build up his confidence. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, he's not around to appreciate this.]]
* HowWeGotHere: The series starts with Charlie Brown learning about his condition, and proceeds to give dark explanations for many of the original comic's quirks.
* LittleNo: Lucy reacts with several of these after learning [[spoiler:that Charlie killed himself]].
%%* LittlestCancerPatient: Charlie Brown.
* MiseryBuildsCharacter: Lucy comes up with the whole 'try and kick the football' exercise as a way to teach Chuck about overcoming adversity. She keeps pulling it away because "This is meant to be hard."
%%* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Lucy]], at the end.
* TheRant: The first one of which calls the comic 'a labor of love, but ultimately fear', and continually blames the Ghost of Schultz for its existence.
* SecurityBlanket: Linus starts carrying his iconic blanket around after Charlie Brown tells him about his condition, stressing how cancer can strike anyone without warning or any reason.
* WorseWithContext: The comic does not outwardly state that Charlie Brown has cancer. Without this context many of the strips look like normal ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}'' comics.
