''Vanadys: Tales of a Fallen Goddess'' is a {{Fantasy}} {{Webcomic}} by {{Tropers/Roo}}, taking place in a FlatWorld which (through no fault of majority of its creators) is divided into two separate halves: the "Magic Lands" and the "Mundane Lands". While crossing between the two is possible, it is generally traumatic and, more often than not, drives the one who crosses insane. This becomes a real problem when a former [[{{Muggle}} mundane]] crosses into the Magic Lands, since the magic tends to play up to their delusions, changing them both physically and mentally.

Enter Vanadys, the Fallen Goddess, who was responsible for the divide in the first place and — having been banished from the godly realms and made to live among the mortals — [[TheAtoner is trying to make up for past sins]] by helping these poor confused souls before their magic-powered delusions end up killing them... or worse, everyone else.

She's joined in her quest by the following characters:
* Berrok, a smooth-talking [[OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame dwarf]] (with a trenchcoat) who also serves as the comic's occasional less-than-serious narrator.
* Tufty, a female wight who is small in stature but makes up for it in appetite.
* Ruzika, a princess on her coming-of-age journey, who is rescued from a crazed kidnapper in the first storyline.

The comic contains a few {{NSFW}} pages due to casual nudity, especially in the prologue. The webpage went down in October 2016, and it appears to be a DeadFic.

!!Tropes Used Include:
* AllThereInTheManual: There's a lot of extra information around on the site that isn't directly touched upon in the comic.
%%* TheAtoner: Vanadys.
* BigBadWannabe: Micolo the pseudo-vampire really wants to be viewed as dark, dangerous and sexy, but can't quite seem to command the respect he wants...
* BigEater: Tufty is always hungry.
* CoolShades: Vanadys usually wears them to hide her eyes.
* ChromaticArrangement: The color images on the site show that the three leading female characters follow this trope: Vanadys dresses primarily in blue, Tufty in green and Ruzika in red. Berrok's signature color is brown.
%%* CuteMonsterGirl: Tufty and Ruzika.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: People who cross the line from the mundane to the magic lands tend to end up as some variant of this. Micolo is a villainous example.
** Ruzika too has some weird ideas about how the world works.
* DeadpanSnarker: Several characters have their moments, though Berrok is the most frequent snarker. Vanadys herself indulges in a bit of snark as well.
* DragonsAreDivine: The highest gods are the Serpent and the Dragon, who rule over the other gods.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Tufty will eat anything, even the cutlery.
* FantasyPantheon: Ten gods and goddesses were created by the Light; nine of them did ''not'' fall. In addition, five gods have been born or ascended later, and there are a hitherto unknown number of other godlike beings, demigods and beings descended from gods in the world.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: According to the creator, the four main characters were created to fill these roles: Vanadys is Melancholic, Berrok is Choleric, Tufty is Phlegmatic and Ruzika is Sanguine.
* InhumanEyeConcealers: The titular Fallen Goddess generally wears CoolShades to hide her solid blue eyes.
* LittleBitBeastly: A pretty accurate description of the wights, who all have animal-like fangs, tails and claws.
* MonochromaticEyes: Ruzika correctly identifies Vanadys as a goddess because of these.
* MotorMouth: Ruzika likes to ramble. So does Micolo. [[HypocriticalHumor Both of them thinks the other one talks to much.]]
* NakedOnArrival: Vanadys and the other gods are all naked in the prologue. Narrator Berrok points out that this is because clothes haven't been invented yet.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: They're highly intelligent shapeshifters who can only breed with non-dragons and not with each other.
* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: Partially averted. Dwarfs (note the plural spelling) are no more or less gruff or warrior-like than any other race, nor do they live underground or have any particular reputation as craftsmen. However, they are still shrewd businessmen with a clear passion for money and riches... and the females do have beards.
* OurGodsAreDifferent: Apart from the outcast Vanadys, the gods do have a distinct hierarchy: The humanoid gods are all subject to the two highest gods, the Dragon and the Serpent -- who themselves are (at least in theory) subject to the being known as "The Light," creator of all the gods.
* PhysicalGod: Vanadys. In fact, all the gods seem to conform to this trope for the most part, except their mysterious creator, The Light.
%%* PointyEars: Elves and wights have them.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Well, the title character is an immortal goddess, shown to have been around since the dawn of time...
* StandardFantasyRaces: The mortal races tend to call themselves "The Five Known People." Dragons and Elves are ancient and magical, whereas humans and dwarfs are relatively mundane. The LittleBitBeastly wights are the youngest race in the world.
%%* TimeAbyss: Fits her better
