Sofia Gomez (born June 30, 2002) is an American content creator and voice actress of Brazilian and Colombian heritage, best known for her cosplaying content, in which she cosplays as various anime, comic book, and manga characters.

Sofia, who had done occasional acting and modeling work since she was 8 (including a non-speaking role in a 2012 UsefulNotes/McDonalds [[https://youtu.be/J_iimOnx6Qk?si=wTyCmHK8IZRIdSzU Super Bowl ad]]), first started uploading videos on Platform/{{TikTok}} as a high school senior in 2019, making various types of content across three (later four) accounts.[[note]]Her main page [=@sofiiiiagomez=] (initially consisting of mainly dancing, [=POV=]/acting and singing videos, before shifting towards primarily cosplays and her favorite fandoms), [=@sofiiiiaspams=] (her primary spam account, primarily featuring videos highlighting her quirky personality), and [=@sofiacinematic=] (featuring mostly talking videos, and occasional acting and singing videos); a fourth, [=@simplysofiiiia=] (featuring various types of videos, including talking videos, dance videos and additional cosplays), was launched in 2021. (She has since focused her content entirely on the main account.)[[/note]] Although Sofia had a couple of videos go viral beforehand, she first gained social media attention on [=TikTok=] in 2020, for her spot-on impression of Perry the Platypus from ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb'', and for her take on a trend set to the ''Film/MammaMia'' cover of Music/{{ABBA}}'s "Lay All Your Love on Me" (as performed by Creator/AmandaSeyfried and Creator/DominicCooper). She soon gained a sizable male following for the latter video and resulting subsequent posts of similar bikini "thirst trap" videos highlighting her buxom physique (mostly filmed after she turned 18). In October 2020, Gomez's content began shifting primarily towards cosplays, and highlighting her fandom of various anime and manga; she became a full-time creator by that point, and began streaming on Platform/{{Twitch}}, and posting on Platform/YouTube (primarily vlogs, and merchandise hauls of various anime memorabilia) and Patreon (mainly cosplays and behind-the-scenes material); she would later join the more risqué subscription platform [=OnlyFans=] in 2022.

She parlayed her content career to enter into voice acting (partly as a result of the attention she received from the Perry videos), landing her first role in 2022 as TZ in the English dub of the Chinese animated series ''Animation/KungFuWa''.

!! Voice Acting Roles:

* ''WesternAnimation/LadybugAndCatNoirTheMovie'' - additional voices (2023)
----
!!Tropes:
* AuthorAppeal: Since October 2020, her videos mostly involve cosplays, especially those from anime and manga such as ''Manga/AttackOnTitan'' and ''Manga/DeathNote''.
* AuthorFilibuster: In an [[https://tik.fail/stream?v=628522dd8f58dc6eabfe8f16c9aaa576 April 2021 [=TikTok=] post]] reviewing the ''Miraculous Ladybug'' episode "[[Recap/MiraculousLadybugS04E03GangOfSecrets Gang of Secrets]]'', she went on a mini-rant about Tikki's [[ObliviousToLove obliviousness]] of Plagg's feelings for her, comparing their interactions to those of Marinette and Adrien.
-->'''Sofia:''' (imitating Tikki): "'We want to help you, Marinette, but [[Characters/MiraculousLadybugKwamis Kwamis]] can't fall in love.'" (in normal voice): "[[NoIndoorVoice LIARRRRRRR!]] What about Plagg?! What about Plagg?! Plagg's in love with you, Tikki, huh?!" (flips to normal voice mid-Tikki imitation): "'Kwamis don't fall in--.' YES, THEY DO! Yes, they do. Tikki, babe, your--your Adrien is showing."
* BreakTheCutie: Sofia heartbreakingly went through this in August 2022, after she revealed in a since-deleted [=TikTok=] post that she broke up with Brooklynne Webb (a Canadian-born creator known primarily for her body positivity and female empowerment content aimed primarily at teen and preteen girls) following an incident that occurred 10 days earlier in which she accused Brooklynne of [[https://www.dailydot.com/unclick/sofia-gomez-xobrooklynne-allegations/ trying to sexually assault her]] while spending the night at Sofia's house following a creator event. Amid pressure from her fans to explain her side, Brooklynne posted a [=TikTok=] of her own (also since deleted) two days later rebutting the claims, comporting herself in a way that many of her fans began [[DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnFemale casting doubt about Sofia's story]] and accused the latter of lying for attention (citing another since-deleted [=TikTok=] she posted of a song she wrote that alluded to the incident, and claims that she smiled at times[[note]](a common physical tic among people dealing with/talking about uncomfortable situations, often misconstrued as being deceitful or not taking such situations seriously)[[/note]] and tried to force herself to cry during the video in which she made the allegations). While less important than what Sofia had to go through, she lost around 300,000 [=TikTok=] followers (out of the 5.6 million she had at the time) amid the backlash.[[note]]Incidentally, Brooklynne had an indirect connection to another sexual assault allegation made nine months before Sofia's accusation against her: in November 2021, Brooklynne's friend and frequent collaborator Noor Dabash accused fellow [=TikToker=] Nickolas Ray of raping her while she was intoxicated at a creator party earlier that Summer (Dabash and Ray were 17 and 21, respectively, at the time), with Ray [[https://www.sportskeeda.com/pop-culture/news-i-owe-anyone-proof-noor-dabash-nickolas-ray-drama-explained-tiktoker-accuses-former-lying-assault-allegations accusing her of falsifying the story]] for social media attention.[[/note]]
* BuxomBeautyStandard: If the comments on her videos are anything to go by, Sofia's large bust proved to make her cosplay and "thirst trap" videos really popular, especially among her male followers. The [[https://tik.fail/stream?v=15f5a3de5bb4983d4b22f5ae5d7b4b16 video that codified this]] (posted in July 2020), featuring Sofia in a grey bikini that highlighted her curves, was part of a Summer 2020 [=TikTok=] trend set to the Creator/AmandaSeyfried[=-=]Creator/DominicCooper cover of Music/{{ABBA}}[='=]s “Lay All Your Love on Me” from ''Film/MammaMia'' (in which posters skipped/crawled on a beach and then splayed themselves on the sand as the titular line was sung);[[note]]The video, which was filmed following a modeling photoshoot Sofia did with friend and fellow creator/model Christina Joy, was partly inspired by a similar video (since deleted) from that trend posted by fellow creator/model Sydney May Vezina.[[/note]] this particular version (one of several [=TikToks=] Sofia did set to that sound) was briefly the most-viewed video associated with that trend, before being surpassed by a version by Creator/AddisonRae. She later would [[{{Lampshades}} lampshade]] her attributes in the caption of her [=OnlyFans=] page ("just a girl with a body worth showing off"). Before it became beneficial to her career as a content creator, Sofia was [[DCupDistress actually very self-conscious]] about her top-heavy physique throughout high school, even noting in one [=TikTok=] post that she stopped wearing glasses to school—despite her poor eyesight—after male classmates frequently made jokes comparing her to adult film star-turned-influencer Mia Khalifa,[[note]]According to Sofia, the [[PunnyName four “i”s]] in her social media handle reference the disparaging term (used often by children, and apparently used towards her when she was a kid) for people who wear glasses (four “i”s = “four eyes”).[[/note]] and in another (since deleted) video—posted months before her first "Lay All Your Love on Me" video let Sofia use her figure to her advantage—revealed that she had considered getting a breast reduction once she turned 18.[[note]]COVID-19 restrictions on cosmetic procedures, her family's health insurance not covering such procedures and a plastic surgeon determining Sofia hadn't experienced any physical issues resulting from the size of her bust prevented that procedure from happening.[[/note]] In fact, her shift towards cosplay content (which eventually included characters with a similar body type as her) was partly motivated by her discomfort with the thirst trap videos she often posted in the months following the "Lay All Your Love on Me" video and some of the attention that came with it.
* [[CallingTheYoungManOut Calling the Fake Fan Out]]: [=BSing=] your way through anime knowledge around Sofia will likely result in her giving you a major schooling. Barstool Sports blogger Meek Phil (who admitted to being a fan of Sofia's, much to her utter shock) learned that the hard way during a 2023 [[https://youtu.be/zHBH4GvW_ww?si=aFmLKzMgEIR-B3l4 Barstool [=OnlyFans=] model pageant]][[note]](which featured several other [=TikTokers=]-turned-[=OF=] models, including friend Megan Guthrie (aka megnutt02), among its contestants)[[/note]], in which Sofia called Phil out for not being able to name an anime off the top of his head, mispronouncing the title of ''Anime/HunterXHunter'' (unlike what Phil believed, [[LuckyCharmsTitle the "×" is not supposed to be pronounced aloud]]) and for confusing [[Anime/{{Pokemon}} Misty]] with [[Anime/OnePiece Nami]] when asked what his favorite cosplay of hers was.[[note]]Although Sofia is an avowed ''Pokémon'' fanatic (and an avid collector of memorabilia from the anime, even having [[https://youtu.be/qnYXYV5q8vw?si=ykJy4M75zLx99hFY posted]] [[https://youtu.be/MXTcTaWqx24?si=7NN76BUrmFkljvqk hauls]] of ''Pokémon'' merch she acquired on her [=YouTube=] channel), as she pointed out, she had never posted a Misty cosplay up to the time of that video's release, and had only recently added Nami (who, like Misty, is a ginger—though Nami wears her hair down—and has a signature outfit consisting of overalls and a white tank top, which appear to be where Phil got tripped up) to the repertoire of characters she's cosplayed.[[/note]]
* TheCastShowoff: A self-described "theater kid" in high school, she's occasionally made use of her stage experience, at times posting song covers or original material on her [=TikTok=] pages. However, it wouldn't be until 2024 that Sofia decided to release music; she was featured on [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jjgr-fuQcDI Cristina Valenzuela's cover]] of "Whatever It Takes" from ''WesternAnimation/HazbinHotel'' (released in March of that year), and later announced plans to independently release a cover album of her own.
* {{Cosplay}}: Her videos on [=TikTok=] and Instagram Reels primarily focus on her cosplays.
* CosplayOtakuGirl: Sofia began cosplaying on her main [=TikTok=] and Instagram accounts in October 2020, dressing as animated, anime, comic book and manga characters including [[WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug Marinette/Ladybug]], [[Manga/DeathNote Misa Amane]], ComicBook/PoisonIvy, ComicBook/HarleyQuinn, [[Manga/TheSevenDeadlySins Diane]] and [[Anime/AttackOnTitan Sasha Braus]].
* CunningLinguist: When asked on her main [=TikTok=] spam account and on Twitch if she spoke any other languages, Sofia answered and illustrated that, in addition to English (which she considers her third language), she's quite fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
* {{Fangirl}}: Of everything from ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'' to ''Anime/YourLieInApril'' to ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb''. She's not only met but became friends with several creators and voice actors from many of her fandoms including Creator/DanPovenmire (co-creator of ''Phineas and Ferb''), Creator/CristinaValenzuela and Creator/BrycePapenbrook (the voices of Marinette/Ladybug and Adrien/Cat Noir), and Creator/ZachAguilar (the voice of [[Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba Tanjiro Kamado]], whom Sofia began dating in 2023).
* FanserviceCostumes: Her cosplays are sometimes rather revealing and fanservicey.
* GamerChick: An avid fan of games like ''VideoGame/{{Fortnite}}'' and ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'', Sofia began streaming on Platform/{{Twitch}} in November 2020; after taking nearly two years off (outside of a one-off stream in December 2023), she returned to Twitch in April 2024.
* GenkiGirl: Sofia herself (at times) and her ''[[Animation/KungFuWa Kung Fu Sock]]'' character, TZ, are this.
* HiccupHijinks: Sofia has had chronic hiccups since she was a preteen. These occur every so often during her livestreams, particularly on Twitch (she actually released a custom hiccup emote for chat members in May 2024).
* KaleidoscopeHair: Naturally a curly-haired brunette (who usually wears her hair straight), Sofia went through a hair dying evolution starting in 2022; she first mixed in streaks of various colors in with her brown locks, then briefly went back fully brunette, before going blonde that November; she changed it briefly to velvet red by Summer 2023, then blue, then (by April 2024) a dark brown/blue balayage.
* LadySwearsALot: Sofia's been known to curse quite a lot in many of her more recent videos, especially in Twitch streams. Since resuming posting long-form videos on that platform in early 2024, her swearing is often censored in her [=YouTube=] videos to avoid demonetization.
* [[LGBTPlusCreators/WebVideoCreators LGBT+ Creators]]: Sofia came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in March 2022, initially identifying as lesbian.[[note]]The profile name on her main [=TikTok=] account featured the pride flag after her name for two years afterward, until early 2024.[[/note]] Given the mostly male composition of her fanbase, reaction to her first coming out was mixed, although her LGBTQ+ female/[=AFAB=] fans (especially those who considered her their crush beforehand) were more accepting. Sofia received some backlash from male fans who thought much of her content after her first coming out focused too much on her then self-identified orientation (believing it just "rubbed in" that they had "lost her to the girls"), in particular for an April 2022 cosplay [=TikTok=] in which she was dressed as the not-technically-LGBTQ-coded [[Recap/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirlsRainbowRocks Rainbow Dash]]. (Very few of the characters she's cosplayed identify or are even coded as LGBTQ+.) She would later come out as bisexual (self-identifying as queer) in November of that same year.
* MsFanservice: Her top-heavy figure has certainly earned her a bit of this reputation online, with her fair share of "thirst trap" bikini videos (mostly posted before her transition into a cosplayer) that are very popular, and her cosplays are often very formfitting or somewhat revealing (with her physique being befitting at times with the characters she portrays, many of which are anime characters of similar build). She parlayed this with her [=OnlyFans=] account (which Sofia joined in May 2022, ironically, given the site's and her fanbase's heavy male lean, while she identified as a lesbian), although her content there is generally non-nude[[note]](usually going no further than concealed or implied toplessness)[[/note]] and unlike other cosplay creators who create content for that platform, has only featured cosplays occasionally.
* NerdsAreSexy: Sofia is often complimented on her appearance and plays up the sexy angle at times while cosplaying as well as with her [=OnlyFans=] content.
* PromotedFangirl: After frequently cosplaying as Marinette/Ladybug on social media, she later got to meet and become friends with Cristina Valenzuela and Bryce Papenbrook, and landed a minor voice role in the English dub of ''WesternAnimation/LadybugAndCatNoirTheMovie''.
* SerialRomeo: Sofia considers herself a hopeless romantic (if the fact she's a [[Music/TaylorSwift Swiftie]] and has said she religiously watches her favorite romance anime, ''Your Lie in April'', every April weren't clues), has had a string of committed relationships since she was a teenager[[note]](even listing her high school loves and how each relationship ended in a video she posted on one of her [=TikTok=] spam accounts)[[/note]], and, unlike many female creators with majority male fanbases, has not been shy about making those relationships "social media official" (including those with Brooklynne Webb and most recently Zach Aguilar).
