Object Terror is a Flash-animated cartoon series created by Creator/BrianHazen for his Website/YouTube channel, [=ShallotHare=]. It is one of the many cartoons on the web classified as "ObjectShows", and has been one of his most well known works alongside The Tale of El Nudelo. The plot is your typical GameShow plot that comes with the standard object show package: 21 contestants compete in a game show hosted by Printer and co-hosted by Computer to win a giant cruise ship. Seems innocent enough...Wait, is that guy bleeding? But he's an ob... Squick Ew!

Believe it or not, this WebAnimation/BattleForDreamIsland-inspired cartoon is basically a SubvertedKidsShow, if not a SadistShow akin to WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends. Basically, the characterswho are humanoid creatures that look like objects, which explains a lot are doomed to suffer from being turned into a bloody pulp of LudicrousGibs for the sake of humor or horror. And Gorn there's plenty to be had in this show. In fact, the fourth episode is where things started to turn into a immoral, DeadlyGame. Outside of that, this show also has characters swearing and, occasionally, making out.

And the funniest thing about all this is that the show wasn't always like this. The entire series started out more or less with the full standard kid-friendly object show criteria somewhere back in 2014 or 2015. At the time, Printer wasn't even a character and the show was instead hosted by Computer. In the second reboot (released in early 2016), it was more or less the same in spite of an AnimationBump, but then things changed in the third episode. The current version of the series started in late 2016. Those who have even heard of this show would agree that Object Terror is one of - if not - the most controversial object show to date.

If you are brave enough to even watch this show, then you are allowed to view this playlist for the second reboot. Just watch it under your own risk and with caution, since it's very violent.

!! Tropes in Object Terror include:
* AbortedArc: Wallet possessing Printer in "Airport Donuts" of the first reboot was supposed to be a major arc in the series before the show rebooted itself and thus was abandoned.
* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: Some drastic, others minor but all happened once the show transitioned from its first reboot to the second.
** Arch, believe it or not, was way more mature and didn't yell his sentences at all. Definitely not the NoIndoorVoice Manchild we're all used to.
** Beer used to be an average guy that understandably disliked Trowel and his antics. The second reboot had him TookALevelInJerkass and willingly join in on the latter's escapades since they both ended up as best friends, and later boyfriends, in this continuity.
** Printer's anger issues were not as prevalent as it is now in the first reboot.
** Wallet was actually nice but had no personality whatsoever, even declared as a FlatCharacter by Computer. However, he does get irritated when several characters call him "retarded" for no reasonSomething he would Irony ironically do later on and possess Printer after his death in episode 3. From that point onward, all of his positive traits were thrown out the window to make room for a more edgy, SerialKiller-based personality.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul:
** When they were introduced in the first reboot, Trowel was just a jerk to Beer as he is to others. As the second reboot rolled about, they were shown as buddies in "Kings of Parkour", where they pranked Arch together and actually kissed in chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto", proving that they are more than just best friends.
** And we can't forget Arch and Mint either. They never spoke to each other in the first reboot and started out indifferent in the second reboot but became best of friends in "A Perplexing Massacre". This friendship is short-lived, however, as in chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto." After this, Mint refers to Arch as simply "acquaintances," not remembering how they were best friends for a short amount of time.
* ADogNamedDog: As with Battle for Dream Island (and most web shows like this), Object Terror's characters are mostly named after what they are (Arch is a brick archway, Beer is a bottle of beer, etc.). There are notable exceptions too, such as Beep Boop, a robotic apple. Printer even lampshades this:
-->Printer: The first challenge is (a game of) diagonal parkour.
-->Trowel: How original.
-->Printer: Okay, shut up, Trowel!
-->Trowel: Wait, how did you know my name?
-->Printer: You look like a trowel.
* AlliterativeName: The teams in the second reboot are named the Bouncing Buses and the Tug-of-War Trains.
* AnimateInanimateObject: Every main character, sans Smore (who is a demon in disguise)WordOfGod officially confirmed that none of the objects are true Animate Inanimate Objects, but rather human-like creatures that look like objects, hence why they bleed..
* Animesque: There are plenty of references to Japanese culture, such as the Japanese subtitle in the logo, because Brian himself is a huge fan of anime. Who knew?
* AnthropomorphicFood: For an object show, there's bound to be examplesBeer, Biscuit, Honey, Mint, Skittle, Smore, Whipped Cream. Coffee Cup is a subversion, since he looks like a cup of joe, but the "coffee" within him is actually solid.
* AnthropomorphicTypography: Letters "A" through "D" for its first reboot.
* AnyoneCanDie: And it's usually a gory one at that. Even though they get revived every time they die.
* ArmlessBiped: This show, just like other object shows, has no shortage of these!Arch, Cyan Ball, Doughnut, Fart, Grape, Lime Ball, Mint, Plug, Rubber Ball, Softball, Yellow Ball, and earlier on Waffle
* ArtEvolution: Seriously, just compare all three eras.
* ArtShift: The Object Terror Movie, Bars and Beer is animated in a 3D style rather than the traditional 2D style like the rest of the series.
* ArtisticLicensePhysics: In the opening theme (for episode 3-5), Printer SOMEHOW survives that height of a fall.
* AudienceParticipation: Viewers vote in a poll on who receive a prize and who gets eliminated
* AxCrazy: Chris, thanks to Computer's potion, in "Kiloto the Minoto."
* BerserkButton:
** It seems the host of both reboots, Printer, falls into this trope most of the time in the second reboot, starting with episode 5. Up to a point where his creator, Computer, gets concerned about this.
** Trowel, despite being two years old, hates it when he is made fun of for his "young" age.
** Arch has a problem with being called "U-ripoff" and would yell at anyone who does so.
* BigNO: Whipped Cream and Beer in Kiloto the Minoto.
* BloodierAndGorier: All second reboot episodes have this trope, from Trowel's ears bleeding when Beer called for Arch in "Kings of Parkour" to a murder mystery challenge in "A Perplexing Massacre". Most of the characters are shown to be treated like a human insides-wise (with the exceptions of Fart, Road Sign, Beer (because he is a bottle of beer, his blood is the alcohol inside him), and possibly Beep Boop). Also, Flashdrive is shown multiple times to die in water.
* BookDumb: Volcabularywise, it's Arch who falls victim to this trope, shown when Mint starts to use more sophisticated words when he awoke after .
* BrainBleach: Chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto" saw a double case of this, courtesy of Stapler and Carpet trying to prank Trowel and Beer only to unfortunately catch them making out. Their expressions say it all.
* BreatherEpisode: "P to the fourth" probably is the most light-hearted of the second reboot episodes with a relatively simple challenge which is especially noticeable compared to the gory bloodfest that are called "A Perplexing Massacre" and "Kiloto the Minoto" which comes thereafter.
* TheCameo: Blue Drago, the only debuter of the first reboot episode "Airport Donuts" who didn't join the second reboot, makes an appearance in chapter 1 of "Kiloto the Minoto". Too bad, he was falsely accused and arrested for a fake bomb threat at the Coniotopia Cinema.
%%* CoincidentalBroadcast: After Honey and Smore kidnapped Chris, Printer was absolutely furious at them since a newscast...
* ColourfulThemeNaming: Although not related, there were 3 similar looking contestants with the names of Cyan Ball, Lime Ball and Yellow Ball in the first reboot.
* ContinuityNod: Flash Drive, asking for simpler challenges, asks Computer if he remembered the Picture Perfect, Picture Pathetic (P to the Fourth) challenge from "P to the Fourth". Of course, he remembers but stated it was boring.
* ContrivedCoincidence: [[spoiler:Upon returning from hell in chapter 1 of "Kiloto the Minoto", El Nudelo Spider wanted to rejoin the show to which Computer allows on the condition that he receives a burning piece of coal from him. Luckily for the spider, he has the very same thing as a souvenir from hell, much to Printer's annoyance.]]
* Crossover: Multiple creatures (that have originated in The Tale of El Nudelo) called Nudelos appear in this series. The titular character from Painquin also makes an appearance in "A Perplexing Massacre" as a waiter.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Starting with "A Perplexing Massacre," the show's challenges usually involve contestants dying in pretty gruesome ways, whenever it be avoiding to be killed by an AxCrazy minotaur for 12 hours or a murder mystery where someone is chosen to shoot people (one per part of the round), and the one suspected to be the killer is executed.
* DeadlyGame: The challenges from episode 4 onward are like this and often involve death.
* DeathIsCheap: There is a recovery center somewhere in the show's setting, Conotiopia, that respawns characters that happen to have died.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness:
* EjectTheLoser: More like kill the loser. Contestants that end up being eliminated in the reboots end up being instantly killed by a plate with spikes underneath, which leads to some pretty gory moments. Only the original series didn't have this, they did it the old-fashioned way: fling em' to the box!
* EpisodeTitleCard: The second reboot has these.
* FictionalCounterpart: Tropical [=HeckDonalds=] is an obvious imitation to that beloved fast-food chain restaurant.
%%* Foil: Arch, Mint and Fart are the resident ditzes who don't have many friends but their attitudes are as different as it can be.
%%** Arch
%%** Mint was really silly. He blurted out words in the first reboot, but was overall one of the stupidest contestants prior to the later half of "Kiloto the Minoto" Chapter 2.
%%**
* Flashback: In Chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto" there was not only one but three consecutive flashbacks, all triggered by different characters starting with Recycling Bin on how he got his fear of blood in 7th grade, Beer losing his phone and finally Biscuit winning a fist-fighting tournament.
* TheForeignSubtitle: Non-dub example, but the logo used in episode 5 was subtitled with オブジェクトテロRomanji: Obujekuto Tero, which is just the show's title in Japanese.
* Gorn: This show provides enough Squick through excessive amounts of blood and gore that it has been well-criticized by object show community members.
* GratuitousGerman: In "P to the Fourth", Arch suddenly spouts German - that may or may not be accurate - when complaining to Printer about the challenge.
-> Arch: You will never be as dank as my mommy! [Translated German according to subtitles]
* GrossOutShow: Alongside the Gorn, this show tends to have moments of Vomit Indiscretion Shots and some moments of sex. There's plenty of Squick to be had.
* HeistEpisode: "Games and Gems". Oh, and (fittingly) "A Diamond Heist". Both involved Trowel stealing the Tombnessian Diamond from the Object Show Museum. Interestingly enough, the latter episode had Beer and Cactus join Trowel in his scheme.
* Hell: Yes, it's a setting in this show. It serves as the "eliminated contestant prison" for the show, too. Isn't that lovely?
* HeyThatsMyLine: Said word-for-word by Skittle when Stapler stole her Catchphrase after her team, the Tug-of-War Trains, won the challenge in "Kiloto the Minoto".
* ImAHumanitarian: Well, an object version of this as Skittle loves to eat Advertising/Skittles candy and declares it her favorite food on several occasions.
* IncestSubtext: Printer performs the song "Did He" in chapter 1 of "Kiloto the Minoto" to Computer, his creator. This was the last verse of the song before Computer cuts Printer off:
-->Do you feel very rad?
-->Did you cheat on your ex?
-->You know that's really sad?
-->But do you want us to have se--
-->(Song abruptly stops as Printer is pulled away)
** And just what rhymes with "ex" and starts with "S"?
* InvisibleAnatomy: This happened with Mint twice, once in the episode "A Perplexing Massacre" where , and again in chapter 2 of "Kiloto The Minoto" where .
%%* IAteWhat I Drank WHAT?!: Stapler's reaction when the Tug-of-War Trains learn that the yellow fluid in the bottles was actually Computer's urine in chapter 1 of "Kiloto the Minoto." %%Elaborate on their reaction
* InstantlyProvenWrong:
* JerkJock: The guy who pretty much refers to himself as a jock; Cactus.
* KillItWithWater: Beep Boop and Flash Drive can die if they ever made contact with water or any other liquid-like substances.
* LarynxDissonance: Some characters fall into this trope, mainly Road Sign.
* TheMole: The demon-in-disguise intern, Smore. He isn't gathering information for the Big Bad but rather wanting to steal the souls of the Object Terror contestants so he can work for Satan (mainly because he is sick and tired of other demons making fun at his expense). And what exactly is the interceptor he was referring to at the beginning of Kiloto the Minoto?
* LudicrousGibs: Coffee Cup suffers this at the beginning of chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto" when Recycling Bin gave him a fatal BearHug.
* MeetYourEarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Trowel and Beer had this moment in chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto" when they were watching themselves from "Kings of Parkour" on Trowel's [=TV=]. Both complain the voice actor for Beer sucks.
* TheMovie: There is going to be an upcoming one called "Bars and Beer" that [=ShallotHare=] is currently working on.
* MultiPartEpisode: "Kiloto the Minoto"
* MusicalEpisode: Not your standard one but alas there were 2 songs titled "Did he" and "Wago Wagon" in both chapters of "Kiloto the Minoto", one for each chapter.
* MusicalisInterruptus: How the song "Did He" abruptly ends, courtesy of Computer pulling Printer away.
* MythologyGag: Trowel had once stated to be biologically two years old in chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto". The first reboot episode "Parkour Idiocy" in which Trowel made his debut was released two years prior to the episode, making his statement true in a meta sense.
* NiceGirl: Road Sign.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: El Nudelo Spider is...well, a spider version of the character El Nudelo (one of Brian Hazen's characters from a different show). However, their personalities and voices are different.
* OfficialCouple: Carpet began dating Stapler in "A Diamond Heist" and had been together ever since.
** On the same note, Trowel and Beer became a thing midway into chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto", as unexpected and sudden as it is.
* OneLetterName: Past contestants A, B, C and D, literally fitting in with the alphabet letters they represent.
* OnThree: Done by Carpet so Stapler can enact their DeadlyPrank on Beer and Trowel in chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto". However, judging by her horrified look on what they were doing at that point, you'll bet she instantly regretted it.
* PostKissCatatonia: Stapler underwent one in "A Diamond Heist" after Carpet gave her a kiss.
* PunBasedTitle: The title is a pun on the phrase "abject terror".
* TheRemake: "Kings of Parkour" and "A Diamond Heist" are this to the first reboot episodes "Parkour Idiocy" and "Games and Gems" respectively but more fleshed out and with some plot changes.
* RunningGag: In the second reboot, Printer always had to begrudgingly pay for the damages, charges, and/or other fines that crop up during the challenges. The complete list of fines is as followed down below:
** $500 to fix damages Printer caused when he set the obstacle course ablaze in "Kings Of Parkour"
** $2000 for the accidentally shattered Tombnesian Diamond with an additional $1000 to bail Trowel, Beer, Cactus and Wallet out of prison for attempting to steal said diamond and other trinkets from the Object Show Museum in "A Diamond Heist"
** An unknown amount of fines from Chris the Minoto after he was abducted by Honey and Smore in "Kiloto the Minoto".
* SadistShow: See above.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Recycling Bin, Coffee Cup, and Honey all pull this in "A Perplexing Massacre" to avoid paying the ShockinglyExpensiveBill at the Conotiopia Steakhouse.
* SelfDeprecation: While watching the episode, "Kings of Parkour" in chapter 2 of "Kiloto the Minoto", Trowel and Beer both criticize about how bad the voice actor for Beer was, despite Beer still having the same voice actor.
* SensoryAbuse: You might wanna turn down the volume on the headphones because there is a lot of microphone-clipping screams from a couple of characters.
** Notably Printer. Especially Printer.
* SexStartsStoryStops: Trowel and Beer's kissing scene "Kiloto the Minoto" had little to no build up and might had just been there for the sake of having a gay sex scene.
* ShoutOut:
** Both "Games and Gems" and its second reboot-counterpart "A Diamond Heist" are based on the third installment of the VideoGame/HenryStickminSeries, "Stealing the Diamond". The Tombnessian Diamond itself is also based on the Tunisian Diamond from said game.
** One to WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends in the song "Did He."
--->There are good things to end
--->But a start of a quest
--->But did you watch Happy Tree Friends?
--->Because that show is the best
** The instrumental of "Wagon Wagon" is the WesternAnimation/LittleEinsteins theme song
* SideEffectsInclude: Apparently, eating Cactus's prickles is known to cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, comas, famine, rashes, sweating, and diabetes.
* TheSpeechless: Plug could not talk in the first reboot where he debuted since he lost his vocal cords when he was 7 years old. This was until the second reboot, which officially breaks that canon and gives Plug the ability to speak. His first line in the entire Object Terror series was "That was stupid."
* SpikesOfDoom: The descending spikes. It's meant to EjectTheLoser in the first and second reboot.
* SubvertedKidsShow: Basically, this show looks like a normal object show. But that's just the surface of this twisted cartoon.
* SuddenAnatomy: Aside from sprouting and retracting fingers like in other object shows, the characters will also inexplicably gain noses from time to time (the rather unique mouth seen in the show is one big example). Also, Carpet was briefly seen with a navel in "A Diamond Heist."
* SwallowedWhole: Plug was swallowed whole by Chris the Minotaur during his 12-hour rage in Kiloto the Minoto.
* SynchroVox: Stapler in "A Perplexing Massacre."
* TemptingFate:
* ThatRemindsMeOfASong: When Computer couldn't find his summoner ball, Printer starts asking questions about where his ball might be in a form of a song (Did He), but then he quickly starts going off-track.
* UndesirablePrize: The elimination prizes usually vary from episode to episode but have one thing in common...most of them suckA taco topped with Skittles might be really nice, at least for Skittle, whether it'd be expired chips or bottles of urine.
* ValleyGirl: Magazine
* VocalEvolution: At first, EVERYONE was voiced by Brian himself. It's not until Parkour Idiocity where a second voice actor came into play: [=SilverKoopa888=] as Yellow Ball.
* VomitIndiscretionShot:
** Recycling Bin vomits when he eats Cactus's rather gross pizza in "A Diamond Heist."
** In "Kiloto the Minoto," when it is revealed that the yellow fluid inside the bottles was actually Computer's urine, Stapler (who actually took a drink from the bottle she got) straight up barfs a beam of vomit, which unintentionally lands on Carpet.
* VotedOffTheIsland: Viewers voted for who gets eliminated via polls. As Computer says, it was so viewers who didn't have a [=YouTube=] account can vote too.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Applies to all the contestants of the original series, sans Wallet, Road Sign, and Fart, who were practically non-existent when the first reboot came.
** Also, the first reboot had A, B, C, Cyan Ball, D, Lime Ball, and Yellow Ball suffering this, with the last two undergoing ChuckCunninghamSyndrome after "Parkour Idiocy", as Object Terror went for its second reboot.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: El Nudelo Spider, .
* WorldOfHam: Prepare yourselves, as every character is this at one point, from screaming their heads off to saying things without their research, this is expected.
* WouldHitAGirl: The characters will hit - and even kill - each other, regardless of gender.
