The World's Hardest Game is a series of self-described NintendoHard Flash games whose first games were released by Snubby Land. The goal of each one is to navigate a red square through a series of levels containing enemy circles (which can be blue, purple, red, green, or black), yellow coins required to beat the levels, and green beacons, which can serve as start points, Check Points, and Level Goals.

The series has become somewhat infamous on the internet thanks to its difficulty, as pointed out by the Website/YouTube personality WebVideo/Markiplier. Contrary to the title, none of these games are truly the most difficult worldwide, but they are still quite difficult. In addition to the difficulty, the games often taunt the player at given times, such as between levels.

Not to be confused with The World's Easy-est Game, if you somehow came here looking for that.

!!Tropes used in The World's Hardest Game series:

* BottomlessPits: The second hazard in the fourth game (counting enemies), these black pits kill you should you fall in.
* Bowdlerise: The Website/CoolMathGames version of the first game replaces the DoubleEntendre below with "Mwahahahaha!!!!"
* TheComputerShallTauntYou: Each level in every game up to the fourth is preceded by a message, some of which tell you "You will not beat the game", "You've already lost", etc.
* ConvectionSchmonvection: The fourth game has lava floors that are deadly upon contact, but they don't vaporize you as soon as you enter the room.
* CheckpointStarvation: Some of the levels that are likely to take longer have no checkpoints, which is quite annoying to newer players who will die a lot more!
** The fourth game's Hardcore Mode disables checkpoints between levels, leaving only the Level Goals as save points.
* DeadpanSnarker: The red square becomes this in the fourth game.
-->Square: "You have just made the biggest mistake of your life!" (response to selecting Hardcore Mode)
* DiagonalSpeedBoost: The second game points out that diagonal movement is twice as fast as moving straight.
* DoubleEntendre: Level 5 pre-level message of the first game:
-->"This one is easier than your mother!"
* FrictionlessIce: Averted; the fourth game has ice that speed your movement and increase your stop distance, but don't actually make it impossible to stop.
* HarderThanHard: The fourth game's Hardcore Mode removes all checkpoints in each level, as if the game isn't difficult enough already. The red square even mocks you additionally for trying it!
* HeroicMime: The red square is this in the first and second games and the Website/CoolMathGames version of the third game.In case you're wondering, the fourth game isn't on Website/CoolMathGames.
* LockedDoor: The second game onward has puzzles involving finding a key to unlock a gray door.
** The third and fourth games also have doors at the end of each level that aren't unlocked until you collect all the coins in the level.
* NintendoHardinvoked: Described in the very title of each game! If you play any of these, do not expect an easy ride, unless you've beaten one of the games in the series with no deaths!
* OneHitPointWonder: You, as the red square. One of the major difficulty elements of the series.
* PlayableMenu: The start menu of the third game is this. Good luck.
* SuddenlySpeaking: The first two games don't have the red square say anything and the third only gives him speech bubbles, while the fourth one gives him full-on voice acting.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Downplayed in the fourth game; there are water floors in which the you move slower, but the water isn't instant-death. However, you do sink in the water, meaning you can still drown if you take too long.
** SuperNotDrowningSkills: The enemies, however, can stay underwater indefinitely.
* Tagline: "This is the world's hardest game. It is harder than any game you have ever played, or ever will play". is used throughout the series!
