''The Wing of Madoola'' (マドゥーラの翼, Madoola no Tsubasa), is an ActionAdventure VideoGame developed and released by Creator/{{Sunsoft}} for the [[Platform/NintendoEntertainmentSystem Family Computer]] in December 18, 1986, exclusively in Japan. It was later released for the Platform/{{PlayStation}} as part of the ''Memorial Series Sunsoft Vol.3'', along with Tōkaidō Gojūsan-tsugi.

In the faraway kingdom of Badham, there was a holy statue known as the Wing of Madoola, a relic of great power which existence brought a lot of wars for the control of its mysterious power. Many kingdoms fought for the control of this statue, until the King of Ramelu decided that no one should have this power, and ordered that the statue would be locked far away in a deep cave, where no one could find it and abuse its power.

Peace reigned for centuries, until Darutos, a distant descendant of the Ramelu family line found the Wing. With his newfound power, he summoned an army of demons and monsters and took control of the kingdom of Badham, forcing the survivors to retreat. He then constructed a giant labyrinth in the cave where the Wing was located and filled it with his monsters. The survivors of the Ramelu family line joined forces and began to plan to recover the Wing and restore peace to the land. For this purpose, they recruited a woman warrior named Lucia, who has the unique ability of using magic.

The game, as many other Action-Adventure games of the era, puts the player in the role of Lucia across sixteen levels, finding objects that increase Lucia's power and to give her new abilities, finishing with a boss at the end of every level. However, the game is notorious for its high difficulty, the stages are as large as the quantity of enemies, there's no MercyInvincibility, the bosses are very difficult to beat, and there's no way to continue if the player loses their only life.

The main character was designed by Kenji Mori, also known as Moriken, and was clearly inspired by the design of Yohko Asagiri from the 1985 OriginalVideoAnimation ''Anime/LedaTheFantasticAdventureOfYohko''.

!!The Wing of Madoola provides examples of:

* CheckpointStarvation: You have to finish this game in one setting, there are no checkpoints or passwords or save system.
%%* MagicKnight: Lucia.
* MercyInvincibility: Averted, and one of the main reasons for this game's high difficulty.
