''Kirby's Blowout Blast'' is a spinoff of the ''VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot'' sub-game, ''Kirby 3D Rumble'', a three-stage adventure where Kirby fights enemies in a full 3D environment, each stage culminating in a final battle with a form of [[VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand2 Masher]].

Now Franchise/{{Kirby}}'s 3D adventure gives him additional enemies and stages, EX versions of these stages, and a plaza for level selection (similar to ''VideoGame/TeamKirbyClashDeluxe''). There is also ''Toys/{{amiibo}}'' functionality, creating a statue in said plaza that plays different music.

The game was one of several ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' games released during [[MilestoneCelebration Kirby's 25th anniversary]] [[invoked]] and appropriately, features numerous callbacks to ''VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand'', acting as an almost pseudo remake of the game.

The game has been released on July 4th, 2017 in South Korea and Japan and on July 6th, 2017 in North America and Europe for the Nintendo [=3DS=] eShop, with a price of $6.99.

!!Tropes applying to Kirby's Blowout Blast:
* AngryEyebrows: King Dedede sports these in his fight with Kirby. In previous [=3DS=] titles, it was hard to tell if he had AngryEyebrows or if it was just part of his hat covering his eyes. But look closely here and there's no questioning it.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: King Dedede grows giant in this game during his fight against Kirby.
* BigBad: King Dedede, [[NotSoHarmlessVillain for once.]]
* BrutalBonusLevel: [[spoiler:The Secret Path, unlocked by getting Gold or Platinum on all regular and EX stages, is a run through five areas representing the EX stages with every EX boss from Lololo and Lalala's Revenge on being fought. At the end, Giant King Dedede's Revenge is replaced by Giant Masked Dedede. You also only have one life to get through it all, and the only healing items you get are after the second stage and right before the final battle]].
* CallForward: All of the Revenge bosses aside from King Dedede's Revenge reuse their appearances from ''[[VideoGame/KirbySuperStar Kirby Super Star Ultra]].''
* CheckpointStarvation: [[spoiler:The Secret Path has no checkpoints. You die, you go back to the start.]]
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Despite this being a {{Homage}} to ''VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand'', Whispy Woods and Kabula are nowhere to be seen.
* CoolMask: [[spoiler:When King Dedede goes AttackOfThe50FootWhatever one more time in the Secret Path, he also gains his iconic Masked Dedede mask and becomes Giant Masked Dedede.]]
* DarkReprise: Though hard to tell, the theme for [[spoiler:the Secret Path]] is a dark version of [[VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand A New Wind for Tomorrow]].
* DeterminedExpression: You know you're in for a treat when Kirby enters [[spoiler:the Secret Path]] with this face, instead of his cheerful smile.
* DualBoss: Lololo & Lalala are fought together in the third level. In the first level, it was just Lololo.
%%zce* FinalBoss: King Dedede, after a long 24 years.
* FriendlyEnemy: Despite having his ass handed to him, Dedede has no problem celebrating with Kirby in the complete ending.
* GreenHillZone: But of course, for the first level, which represents Green Greens.
* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: King Dedede's Revenge only wears his robes and sash in reference to his original design.
* {{Homage}}: This game seems to be a 3D homage to ''VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand'', due to the similar backgrounds and settings, plenty of remixed songs and boss battles from that game, Kirby not being able to use copy abilities, and King Dedede being the BigBad. [[spoiler:The EX stages represent both the Extra Mode and Revenge of the King from ''Kirby Super Star Ultra'', with the Revenge bosses also making a return]].
* JawDrop: After defeating Giant King Dedede's Revenge, he falls back on the stage and his jaw is kept hanging loose while dizzy, a direct call-back to the iconic "Shocked Dedede" from the original game.
* LevelInTheClouds: Kirby travels through a cloud world with background spires and tiles directly taken from the [[VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand very first sky level in the series]].
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Dedede uses a rainbow Sparkling Star to enlarge himself for the second phase of his boss battle. Since this came out a little more than 25 years after KDL, it was likely intended as a MilestoneCelebration.
* {{Medley}}: [[spoiler:Giant Masked Dedede's theme is a heavy metal remix of both "Decisive Battle with a Mighty Boss" from ''VideoGame/TeamKirbyClashDeluxe'' and Masked Dedede's theme.]]
* MythologyGag: The state of King Dedede upon being defeated mimics one he did upon being defeated in earlier games. When defeated in Stage 5-5, he ends up laying on his back with one of his feet in the air, just like in ''VideoGame/KirbySuperStar''[='=]s Arena. When defeated in Stage 5-5 EX, he sits there with his jaw hanging open, ala ''VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand''[='=]s Normal Mode ending. Finally, when defeated in Stage SP-5, King Dedede just pitifully lays on the ground, crying — similar to the end of the first game's Extra Mode.
* NoPlotNoProblem: Unlike ''VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand'', there is no plot to this 7-dollar adventure, not even an ExcusePlot.
* OldSaveBonus: If the game detects [=StreetPass=] data from ''VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot'' on the system, a statue of Kirby with his Robobot Armor will be built in the hub area.
* OriginalGeneration: [[spoiler:King Dedede's Revenge, the first form of the EX Final Boss and the TrueFinalBoss, never existed in Revenge of the King, as the final battle there was against Masked Dedede. While there was a Masked Dedede's Revenge in ''Triple Deluxe'', a normal King Dedede's Revenge never existed until now. Though an arguable case can be made for the purple Dedede fought in ''Mass Attack''.]]
* PalmtreePanic: The second level is beach-themed, representing Float Islands.
* ShockAndAwe: Kracko, as per usual. This time, though, his Jr. self can even use some of his lightning attacks, and Giant King Dedede's Revenge can create electrical shockwaves when he slams his hammer on the stage.
* ShockwaveStomp: To compensate for the game being 3D, King Dedede's iconic Super Dedede Jump now creates a shockwave ring that flies outward when he hits the ground.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Though not nearly as much as [[VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot President Haltmann]], King Dedede's castle levels contain plenty of pictures of his face and his VSign clan mark.
* TookALevelInBadass: Kracko Jr. is much more formidable than before, being able to use regular Kracko's main lightning-based attacks. Not only that, but he's stepped up from being a mid-boss in the first game to being the second boss of this game.
* TrailersAlwaysSpoil: Because showing a giant-sized King Dedede in the trailer won't ''possibly'' indicate that he could be the final boss. [[spoiler:The Secret Path, on the other hand, has a much bigger surprise. Giant ''Masked Dedede''.]]
* TrueFinalBoss: [[spoiler:Giant Masked Dedede.]]
* VictoryFakeout: After beating Dedede, Kirby does his usual HappyDance. Then a Sparkling Star falls down to where Dedede fell, and then [[MakeMyMonsterGrow a massive]] [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever Dedede]] climbs back upward and roars at Kirby before fighting him one more time.
* WaveMotionGun: [[spoiler:Giant Masked Dedede's hammer can fire a massive laser beam directly downward on the stage, which he uses to chase Kirby with.]]
