A Creator/TakarazukaRevue production performed by Moon Troupe, BADDY premiered in 2018 as a double feature with ''[[Theatre/CompanyTakarazukaRevue Company (Takarazuka Revue)]]''. It starred Tamaki Ryou as Baddy and Manaki Reika as Goody.

The story is set in the capital of Earth, Takarazuka-City. The peaceful planet Earth — a united world where war, crime, and all evils have been overcome — receives a visit from Baddy, a vagabond rogue from the Moon. He is an extremely cool person, unlike anything that the Peaceful Planet Earth has seen, and on top of that a heavy smoker. But smoking is outlawed across the face of the Earth. Baddy, accepting no limits, leads his gang to engage in all sorts of wrongdoing to make this dull planet more interesting. His final goal is to steal the planetary budget guarded in Takarazuka Big Theater Bank. But the almighty investigator Goody is gaining on him!

----
!!This musical provides the following tropes:
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Baddy and his gang certainly believe this. He remarks that the allure of sin attracts women.
** Goody does pursue Baddy [[spoiler:and Pocky]] because it's her job, but she is clearly attracted to Baddy [[spoiler:and cares for Pocky at least as her colleague, since she rushes to him as he collapses.]]
** The three patrol birds try to get Sweetheart's attention during "Chaos Paradise" and squeal upon getting a look from them.
** Sweetheart complains that Baddy has become boring because he isn't committing crimes big enough for their liking.
* AmbiguousGender: Sweetheart. They wear their hair long (feminine-coded) and a suit (masculine-coded). This confuses Goody and Pocky, as the female residents of Earth are all shown wearing feminine-coded attire (dresses in most of the show and leotards in the ''musumeyaku'' dance.) They're played by ''otokoyaku'' [[CrossCastRole (male role actress)]] Miya Rurika, but she did not use her regular ''otokoyaku'' voice, opting for something akin to her [[Theatre/LaLegendeDuRoiArthur Morgane]] instead. For the ball scene, they (as well as [[spoiler:the male Pocky]]) go undercover by wearing a dress.
** Arguably Miya Rurika is using more of a ''musumeyaku'' voice in the recordings of BADDY but it was not the case with every performance. In an interview, Miya Rurika revealed that she would make a decision during each performance whether she'd play Sweetheart as a man or a woman at that time.
* AntagonistTitle: Stylized BADDY. The full title, as mentioned above, is BADDY - The Bad Lot Comes From The Moon -.
* BetaCouple: The [[StarCrossedLovers romance]] between Cool and the Princess.
* CaperCrew:
** Baddy: Mastermind, Conman
** Sweetheart: Partner In Crime, Roper
** [[spoiler:Pocky]]: Distraction, New Kid
* ChainedHeat: Goody claps handcuffs on Baddy for dining and dashing, but it evolves into ChainsOfLove - this trope is namedropped in the song title - when Baddy points out that Goody is in love with him.
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: The residents of Peaceful Earth mostly wear light colors, while Baddy and his gang from the Moon favor dark colors. During one dance number featuring nearly the entire cast, those from Earth wear white and those from the Moon wear black. Goody and Baddy stand in front of the opposite groups, creating a visual effect reminiscent of Yin and Yang.
* DoggedNiceGuy: Pocky, [[spoiler:up until his FaceHeelTurn.]]
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:Pocky switches sides temporarily (after being abducted by Baddy) because he wants to get Goody to notice him. At the end, however, he does a HeelFaceTurn by blowing up the building the characters are in.]]
* FisherKingdom: [[spoiler: Heaven seems to have this effect - it gets the villainous Sweetheart to volunteer and give up their seats.]]
* GoodNeedsEvil: "Sin" (the duet dance) points out that Goody and Baddy are [[NotSoDifferentRemark "two stars, born in the same place,"]] drawn together by each other's light.
--> Good and Bad: Embrace!
--> Even if you must go to hell, go together
--> Two sinners!
* GratuitousEnglish: Names such as Baddy, Goody, Sweetheart, Cool, and Hot. Some of the lines are fully in English (albeit sometimes with grammatical errors, such as "in order to go paradise!").
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: Baddy is, well, the villain of the piece.
* InnocentBlueEyes: Baddy remarks that Goody has eyes "clear as the sea, unable to lie."
** Suggesting that he can tell Goody has a thing for him.
* InspectorJavert: Goody, being TheAce among Earth law enforcement.
* LoveAtFirstSight: Goody falls in love with Baddy as soon as he smiles at her and compliments her name. It's accompanied by the sound of a gunshot.
* MadnessMantra: Baddy repeats his own name several times during his VillainousBreakdown as he's trying to brainstorm what to do to get Goody's attention again.
* MeaningfulName: Doubling with a case of ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin.
** Goody and Baddy are the protagonist/law enforcer and antagonist/criminal duo.
** Sweetheart doesn't have a sweet personality, but they spend much of the show musing about their relationship with Baddy, as they were his ''sweetheart'' (lover) before the villains landed on Earth.
* NoFourthWall:
** Baddy introduces himself by saying that the audience has been kept waiting too long, then does the pre-show announcement (of the show's name, director, and conductor) that the top star always does.
** Baddy harasses the conductor and takes his baton.
** Sweetheart directly faces the audience while complaining that it's getting boring.
** At the end of the show, he directly addresses the audience, saying "Thank you, everyone! Come join us!" in English. (For the ''senshuuraku'' [[note]]final performance of a show's run[[/note]], Tamaki Ryou says "See you soon!" instead.)
** The finale for Zuka shows is usually kept separate from the show, as a sort of out-of-context formulaic revue performance merely for the actresses to entertain the audience one last time and ensure that everything ends happily (especially when the show proper ends tragically). For Baddy, the storyline continues after "Chaos Paradise" (which is the ''chuzume'' or middle point of the musical). The kickline/Rockettes dance is Goody expressing anger and a WhatIsThisFeeling epiphany, the ''otokoyaku'' dance is capped off with [[spoiler:Pocky's HeelFaceTurn]], the duet dance turns into a final confrontation between Baddy and Goody, and the parade [[spoiler:shows the characters' new life in FluffyCloudHeaven.]]
* PenalColony: The Moon served as this for Earth criminals.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Baddy and Goody both wear red and black for their final dance, with Baddy's suit being mostly black, and Goody's dress being mostly red. The music refer to them as "two sinners".
* SecondFaceSmoke: Sweetheart blows smoke in Pocky's face.
* SugarBowl: The "peaceful planet Earth", where everything is in pastel, all evils have been eliminated, and "bad" isn't in the dictionary. Not so much in practice, as even the King sneaks a smoke once in a while.
* TakingYouWithMe: As the building is about to collapse, [[spoiler:Baddy tells Goody to get out. She doesn't. They die together in the flames.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: Baddy gets one after Goody ignores him to pursue [[spoiler:Pocky.]]
