* As the game is set on the night Chopin died (Yes, the real-life composer), you know it's not going to end well but it's done so surprisingly beautiful that despite all of the [[NarmCharm Narm]] in the game up to that point, you'll still be crying.
** The BadEnding is this as well. [[spoiler: It appears at first to be a mostly bitter BittersweetEnding, with most of the characters dead... But hey, Freddy's waking up! And then as his friends rejoice, [[DownerEnding he closes his eyes again]]...]]
* The description of the Raindrop Prelude, as it was inspired to Chopin listening to the rain as he suffered from his illness.
* [[spoiler:Claves' death]]
* [[spoiler:when Chopin dies and his spirit continues on to play the piano portion of the credits theme in the ending.]]
* The first part of the endiing [[spoiler: [[HeroicSacrifice Polka attempts to sacrifice herself so that the world can return to normal, though it's Allegretto's reaction that really sells it, especially in the PS3 version, in which he is set up as a much more sympathetic character.]]]]
* The Elegy of the Moon? Just talk to [[spoiler:all the souls who died from taking the mineral powder]] and try not to at least feel a little sad. They're stuck there, in that form, FOREVER. They're basically in Purgatory.
* In the Platform/PlayStation3 UpdatedRerelease, Allegretto's frustration as he talks to Polka in Tenuto and is upset about her seemingly calmly accepting her fate.
