Because he embodies an aspect of good, he is intrinsically tied to NeutralGood and LawfulGood. While he and LawfulGood tend to bicker, they are willing to work together to maintain the moral balance of the universe.

Half-dead, he found himself nursed back to health by an old hermit who taught him magic when he foresaw his destiny. Years later, he returned to his king to complete his apprenticeship. Using his magic to make himself immortal, he still fights evil to this day.
