And for a fic that is supposed to teach you that the PowerOfFriendship is powerless, you would think that he would at least take inspiration from a source other than ''Franchise/PowerRangers''. You know, that one show based on ''[[{{Irony}} teamwork.]]'' The author can't really take criticism either. All of the secondary characters are thinly veiled {{Exp|y}}ies taken from shows the author likes, and the main characters are all either some kind of SelfInsert (even the ''BigBad'') or a FlatCharacter with an annoying gimmick (like speaking in PainfulRhyme and being an artist. Take that away and they're ''literally the same''). And that's just the beginning. All in all, this is PoesLaw at its finest, and most of the fun comes from watching just how deluded the author can get. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the [[{{Sequelitis}} sequels...]] |

The entire story exists because the author was so devastated by [[ShipSinking Beast Boy and Terra not hooking up in the finale]] that he ''[[SeriousBusiness has nightmares about it to this very day.]]'' If you didn't like the final episode of the show, this might make you fell better, but for all the wrong reasons. In addition to that, this series is NOTORIOUS for the ''Dragon Ball Z'' elements, some of which include: [[spoiler: "Sonic" transforming into a variety of Super Saiyan-esque forms and levels, him using a variety of similar attacks (like Super Sonic Beam being a version of the Kamehameha, Chaos Bomb being in the same vein as a Spirit Bomb), a character in the vein of ''Vegeta'' that acts like a "rival" to "Sonic" that dies later on, inducing the concept of Fusions a la Gogeta or Gotenks with Spiric and Shadic, and the overall PowerCreep wherein he can beat people to outer space, just like the vein of Dragon Ball]]. The influence of these assets is so abundant that it would've been better as a Dragon Ball Z / Fairy Tail crossover, but the fact that it's misplaced with Sonic the Hedgehog makes it all the more hilarious to read, in part with all the assets included. All of this amounts to a crossover that's only more or less "Sonic" featuring Fairy Tail to a lesser extent, with the incorporation of foreign elements to abuse the RuleOfCool to the extreme.
