The Belchers spend the afternoon on a wine train, but the kids are confined to the caboose with Regular-Sized Rudy. While Bob and Linda drink with a snobbish wine enthusiast, the kids decide to pull a heist of the train's chocolate.
----
!!The Kids Rob the Tropes:
* BigNo: Rudy, when Ethan rips open the beanbag.
* BlatantLies: When Ethan notices something off about the kids:
-->'''Ethan:''' Why are your shoes muddy?
-->'''Louise:''' Because, because I am poor. Oh I'm so poor.
-->'''Ethan:''' And why are you in your underwear?
-->'''Gene:''' Because I am rich!
** Also, while Sylvester[[note]]Rudy's father[[/note]] is on a date, his prospective girlfriend learns of Rudy's existence, and unconvincingly assures him that she's perfectly okay with kids.
* ChairReveal: Rudy reveals himself by turning the beanbag around, struggling to do so.
* ChekhovsGun: The caboose hatch, previously shown as a failed method of escaping the Juice Caboose, is later used to hide the stolen chocolate when Ethan returns.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Discussed. Nobody actually turns on each other, but Louise remarks that she ''would'' in order to save the chocolate, and is genuinely confused when Rudy claims he wouldn't do the same.
* CompanionCube:
** Rudy is more than a little attached to the beanbag in the Juice Caboose, reacting to Ethan tearing it open as if he just witnessed the murder of a close friend.
** Louise not only talks to the chocolate when stealing it, she acts as if the chocolate is talking back. Like father, like daughter.
* DoomedNewClothes: Gene wears a new outfit consisting of a bandana and overalls specifically for this episode. He loses both during the kids' return to the Juice Caboose, leaving him in his underwear by the end of the episode.
-->'''Gene:''' (''when his overalls get snagged'') [[LampshadeHanging What's going on with my outfit?!]]
* DullSurprise: Rudy, when the chocolatier discovers the burglary.
-->"I am very shocked by that."
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Louise is stunned that Rudy isn't considering double-crossing her for the chocolate.
* ExactWords: Bob notes that Rick is correct when he claims the final wine is a blend. It's a blend of ''spit''.
* FailedASpotCheck: Ethan fails to notice that Louise has gone missing after she sneaks underneath his cart. He also fails to notice that Tina has removed her glasses after chocolate landed on it.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: The woman sitting behind Bob turns to glare at their table during Rick's "jambo" toast.
* GoingCommando: Gene offhandedly reveals that he's not wearing underwear at the beginning, and sarcastically remarks that Bob is going to tell him to put some on. Bob being [[StraightMan Bob]], he does that immediately.
* HeistEpisode: Stuck in a train hosting a wine tasting, the kids and Regular-Sized Rudy plan to steal chocolate from the kitchen. The heist actually goes off without a hitch by the halfway mark--but the kids end up falling out of the train, resulting in the second half of the episode being the kids trying to get back into the train before Ethan discovers they're gone (as well as the bag of chocolate in the Juice Caboose).
* IAteWhat: Rick is mortified when he realizes he just drank an entire glass of spit.
* InstantWristwatch: Averted. As the plan requires precise timing, Rudy can be seen wearing a watch for the entirety of the episode. The fact that he has one in this episode but not others is also easily explained (he's stuck inside the Juice Caboose alone for four hours on weekends, thus he'll want a way to tell the time besides Ethan's hourly visits).
* {{Jerkass}}: Rick the wine enthusiast is as snobby as he looks. Ethan the train employee is only marginally better when dealing with the kids.
* TheLeader: Louise takes on the role during the actual heist, but Rudy is the one to plan the entire thing, because he's been on the train enough to know the route that it goes through.
* MathematiciansAnswer: Ethan asks Rudy why he’s short of breath, wanting an explanation for what the kids were doing to get so worked up. Rudy starts explaining how asthma affects his body, until Ethan tells him to stop talking.
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: When three of the four kids in the Juice Caboose are siblings, poor Rudy is naturally going to be the odd one out.
-->'''Gene:''' The Belcher kids ride again! For the first time!
-->'''Rudy:''' And Rudy... is there!
* NoodleIncident:
** Rudy mentions one time that the train ran out of rosé "and things got weird".
** Bob and Linda once went to see ''Film/{{Sideways}}'', and afterwards went to a bar where Linda dared Bob to drink from the spit bucket--which he ''did''.
* NotSoAboveItAll:
** Bob once drank from a spit bucket solely because Linda dared him to. Can't say their date nights are boring at the least.
** After figuring out that the mystery wine is from the spit bucket in one sip, Bob doesn't immediately claim victory--he instead sits there and lets Rick drink what is essentially an entire glass of spit out of petty revenge for Rick's snobby attitude.
* OhCrap:
** Gene can handle two hours in the Juice Caboose. Unfortunately for him, Rudy quickly informs him that they're spending ''four'' hours there. Gene promptly freaks out.
** Louise has a massive one when she realizes Rudy is allergic to chocolate.
** Ethan realizes what the kids did when he sees them depart the train covered in chocolate. The train departs again before he can confront them on it.
* RuleOfThree: Ethan seems to add a third rule (Always believe in yourself) specifically for the sake of a third rule.
* SharedFamilyQuirks: [[Recap/BobsBurgersS1E9SpaghettiWesternAndMeatballs Once]] [[Recap/BobsBurgersS2E1TheBelchies again]], Louise shows she's truly Bob's daughter when [[CompanionCube she holds a conversation with the chocolate bars]] just as Bob tends to do for other inanimate objects.
-->'''Louise:''' Don't worry, I'm gonna get you outta here! "Yay!" And then I'm gonna eat you! "No!" Shh!
* ShoutOut:
** The exterminator van on the opening reads "[[Series/MurderSheWrote Murder She Roach]]".
** When Gene comes wearing overalls but no shirt, Bob asks why he looks like he's in Music/DexysMidnightRunners.
** The German chocolatier looks and sounds like [[WesternAnimation/SantaClausIsCominToTown Burgermeister Meisterburger]].
** The gold and maroon livery on the wine train resembles the livery of the real life [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napa_Valley_Wine_Train Napa Valley Wine Train]].
* SnapBack: Despite Sylvester hitting it off with his date, later episodes indicate that he's single, with no hint of what happened to his date.
* SommelierSpeak: Rick the wine snob Bob and Linda meet speaks this way.
* SpannerInTheWorks: The plan is nearly derailed by the chocolatier coming to use the bathroom in the juice caboose.
* StealthInsult: Rick calls Linda a "sweet, simple person." She catches on to this.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Rudy's father Sylvester makes his first appearance, and he looks basically like an adult Rudy with glasses.
* SureLetsGoWithThat: Linda is confused as to why the staff is saying it's her birthday, but rolls with it when they give her a cake.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: While looking for a way to get out of the Juice Caboose, Louise gets the idea to use the overhead hatch. Instead of being an easy route outside, the sun has made the metal roof so hot that it can't be touched, so the kids have to find another way.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: Linda's birthday is definitely today and not June 3rd, as Tina says.
* ThatsWhatIWouldDo: Louise says this when Rudy says he would never double-cross her for the chocolate.
* ThrowTheDogABone: Sylvester's date goes badly when his would-be girlfriend learns that he has a son, something he never told her. But at the end of the episode she kisses him, showing things have gone well enough for him.
* TooMuchInformation: When Ethan asks why the kids are out of breath, Rudy replies that his trachea constricts due to the histamines that his body produces (an overcomplicated way of saying he has asthma). Ethan tells him to just stop talking.
* TrainJob: The kids' scheme of the episode. Bonus points for the chocolate resembling gold bars.
* TrainProblem: Tina tries to ask Ethan one of these. By the time Ethan decides to just ignore the question, Tina has already served her purpose--distracting Ethan long enough for Louise to sneak into his food cart.
* {{Troll}}: While eating the stolen chocolate raining from the roof, Rudy says he doesn't even care that he's allergic. Louise, horrified, pushes him out of it. Rudy then begins gagging and drops to the floor acting as though he's having a spasm... Only to laugh and reveal he's joking, explaining that his allergy only causes him to get a rash on his back.
* UnspokenPlanGuarantee: The scene cuts away as Louise explains her plan for the heist. It proceeds to go off without a hitch, only [[{{Pun}} derailing]] at the very end.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: While Bob and Linda do question why the kids are covered in chocolate (and the kids in turn question why they're covered in wine), neither of them even seem to notice Gene suddenly being stripped down to his underwear.
