Ze komt in meer voor dan alleen de [[DesignatedGirlFight Aangewezen Meiden Gevecht]]. Ze staat op tegen gevaarlijke vijanden en dodelijke obstakels, en ze ''wint''.

12	Voor een lange tijd betekende [[DoubleStandard Dubbele Standaarden]] in zowel fictie als het echte leven, dat mannen beter waren dan vrouwen als het op actie en vechten aankwam. MenActWomenAre was de vuistregel, wat ertoe leidde dat de Actie-Meid een subversie werd van wat acceptabel was. Naarmate de maatschappij ontwikkelde is dit perspectief vervaagd in sommige media. Dit bracht verhalen voort waar Actie-Meiden de norm waren in plaats van de uitzondering, zoals verhalen in een [[WorldOfBadass Wereld van Badass]], en vooral een [[WorldOfActionGirls Wereld van Actie-Meiden]].

[[FauxActionGirl Geen Echte Actie-Meid]] is een geval van het zo presenteren van een personage, waarop die zich niet kan waarmaken aan de standaarden van deze trope. [[DarkActionGirl Donkere Actie-Meid]] is een schurkenvariant, en [[AffirmativeActionGirl Bevestigende Actie-Meid]] is een toevoeging aan de cast met de bedoeling om de geslachtsratio's te balanceren, wat gewoonlijk ook onder deze trope valt. Minder actie-geörienteerde versies zijn [[YouGoGirl Kom Op, Meid!]] en [[PluckyGirl Moedig Meisje]].
