!!Memes across all branches
* Teetee (てぇてぇ) [[labelnote:Explanation]]A variation of the word 尊い (''toutoi'', lit. "precious", common in Japanese circles beforehand) slurred with [[Manga/DragonBall Goku]]'s accent, originating in the Creator/{{Nijisanji}} [[https://twitter.com/natanakane/status/975388209591939075 fandom]]. Pronounced "teh-teh". Chat is bound to spam this when any of the hololive girls are [[YuriGenre being affectionate to each other]] on stream or really whenever anything wholesome is happening.[[/labelnote]]
* くしゃみ助かる (Thanks for the sneeze) [[labelnote:Explanation]]hololive's fanbase has [[https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=vtuber+sneeze an obsession]] with its members sneezing, as [[AwwChoo it's cute]] most of the time (excluding Korone, whose [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6Tc7TiXDo8 sneeze]] is best described as [[SneezeOfDoom "explosive"]]). This spreads to other [=VTuber=] channels, to the point where [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOr14kQUmNaeEYKcUzcRYEA one fan channel]] consists solely of [=VTuber=] sneezing compilations.[[/labelnote]]
* [[ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything I forgot they're supposed to be idols.]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]Phrases like these are a common response to hololive's musical content, at least from the English fandom that knows hololive more for their LetsPlay content and clippable antics than for their original music.[[/labelnote]]
* [[InsistentTerminology "hololive is an idol group."]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]A memorable interview quote uttered by hololive CEO Motoaki "YAGOO" Tanigo, where he continues to claim hololive is an idol group despite the fact that musical content only makes up a smidgen of their total air time even on their main channel, as well as their very questionable behavior. At least one of these "idols", Coco, rarely sings at all if she can help it, claiming that her singing is horrible and possibly offensive.[[/labelnote]]
** YAGOO: "We run an idol group similar to Music/AKB48." Reality: An idol group similar to AK-47. [[labelnote:Explanation]]A reference to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5FMO3QkiSQ an actual statement YAGOO made,]] often used when talking about how many of the girls started off with stereotypical idol personalities, only to fairly rapidly lose them.[[/labelnote]]
** "Cover Corp is a 2D cutting-edge entertainment company." [[labelnote:Explanation]]Quoted verbatim from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h9opriUmu0 "Hello everyone!"]], a brief description of hololive from YAGOO himself. Fans jokingly interpreted this as YAGOO officially giving up on managing his own IdolSinger unit, although there was already [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUKCb4NmpEs sentiments from staff members]] that hololive's ''been'' an "entertainment company" long before this video.[[/labelnote]]
* YAGOO's Blood Pressure/YAGOO in the ICU/YAGOO's dream is dead [[labelnote:Explanation]]Due to the sheer volume, frequency, and the ''depths'' of un-idol like behavior most of the "idol group" engages in (special mention to Coco), fans oftentimes joke that CEO Motoaki "YAGOO" Tanigou's health is in constant danger because of the stress, the PR nightmares, and the inevitable Website/YouTube bans this causes. Other fans simply like to joke that his dream of running an idol group is dead.[[/labelnote]]
** YAGOO wiping his tears with his giant pile of Superchat money [[labelnote:Explanation]]As an alternative to the above, it is often joked that rather than being in the hospital due the antics of the girls, YAGOO is constantly trying to console himself with the fact that the death of his "Idol Dream" resulted in him becoming extremely wealthy.[[/labelnote]]
** "Sou desu ne!"[[labelnote:Explanation]]The rough Japanese equivalent of "I see", most commonly said by YAGOO in response to just about anything that it might as well be his CharacterCatchphrase. This being an expansion of the above and played for laughs, with YAGOO being depicted as an endlessly BeleagueredBoss who can only utter said phrase in defeat while his employees try with all their might to ruin the image of his agency, even though he himself has said it numerous times in other contexts as well.[[/labelnote]]
* YAGOO is best girl [[labelnote:Explanation]]Fans will say this as both a way of poking fun at him as well as a serious acknowledgement of the work he's done. In the case of the former, it's an ironic statement to utter when engaging in "best girl" arguments. In the latter, it's due to the amount of appreciation many of the talent have for him for the work he's done trying to fulfill their dreams as content creators. Fans also use the meme as a way to defuse the potentially vitriolic debates among themselves on who may or may not be the "best" in hololive. {{Ascended|Meme}} by Polka in her debut stream ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvIWyKU6ikA#t=26s "YAGOO cute! YAGOO is best girl! ... Okay? Okay? Yeah!"]]), the phrase has also been associated with her individually on account of her seemingly close relationship with Cover's CEO.[[/labelnote]]
* [X] years old season [Y] [[labelnote:Explanation]]For some members, such as Marine and Suisei, they will make it a point to say that they’re eternally X years old (17 for Marine, 18 for Suisei), despite the fact that people normally become a year older each birthday. Fans will often call it “X years old, season Y”, with Y being how many birthdays they have had since joining hololive + 1. This meme also occurs outside of hololive as there are other Vtubers, whether they’re in a big-named company or independent, doing the same thing.[[/labelnote]]
* Zen-loss (全ロス) [[labelnote:Explanation]]Originating from the phrase "アイテム全ロス" (lost all items), this is a term used to denote a vtuber suffering a total loss, whether it is losing all items in ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'', in other games, or even losing everything in a metaphorical sense, such as progress. While this term can be applied to any vtuber, it has the closest association with Miko and her horrible track record with handling lava and dying to it, losing her entire inventory whenever it happens.[[/labelnote]]
* Desk-kun -10 HP [[labelnote:Explanation]]The hololivers, when irritated or laughing uncontrollably, sometimes engage in PercussiveTherapy by slamming their desks, and subtitlers list it as the desk losing HP or getting knocked out. While it applies for many of them, Towa has the closest associations with this -- [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWpL_d_8Vo she has even acknowledged it as a means to summon her overseas fans.]] Conversely, Lamy doesn't engage in desk slamming, and when asked to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4hHPb5Vy4Y she gently drums it,]] which fans interpret as "desk-kun getting healed." On the other end of the spectrum is Amelia Watson, who tends to assault her desk ''especially'' violently when she's getting salty, and thus tends to get -50 HP and even -100 HP comments instead. Others don't even harm it in anger; some of the most grievous desk damage was caused by Calliope trying to open a bottle without an opener.[[/labelnote]]
* [=YouTube-kun=] [[labelnote:Explanation]]Made particularly famous by Mel's 2020 return stream that infamously got banned by [=YouTube's=] algorithm a mere 10 minutes after starting. Since then, several of the cast and the fandom began personifying [=YouTube=] as a hormonal teenager (the site's 15 years old at the time) who bans streams when he gets too flustered for [[TooHotForTV one reason]] or another, and [[BitingTheHandHumor teasing the site for it]]. Coincidentally, this meme is also used by [=VTubers=] outside hololive, like with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIN4vdVlzJA&ab_channel=KigCaseyEN Nijisanji's Tsukino Mito]].[[/labelnote]]
* Superchat Time/スーパーチャットターイム [[labelnote:Explanation]]On [=YouTube=], highlighted messages called Superchats are the primary way of supporting hololive talent. During [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxHrL4-6ews a meme review stream,]] Coco pointed out how this punchline on a surreal image featuring a frog didn't make a whole lot of sense and that she didn't know what "Superchat Time" was. Since then many donations that get made to any member will have this as their message, signifying it's time to send money or for when the streamer is starting a segment to read them.[[/labelnote]]
** Superchasito Time [[labelnote:Explanation]]An even poorer translation of the above terms, since the シ and ッ characters look incredibly similar.[[/labelnote]]
* [[PoirotSpeak Japanglish]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]Due to the growing overseas audience, a lot of Western fans don't know a lot of Japanese but try to communicate anyway using a hodgepodge of both Japanese and English, such as "gomennasorry" or "yametekudastop." Many of the members discovered this on their own and think it's really funny, encouraging their viewers to use it more often. Its use grew after Coco's weekend Reddit meme reviews, especially [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoSYQfBDGwQ after she expressed her frustration at machine-translated memes.]][[/labelnote]]
* "X is my new Oshi"[[labelnote:Explanation]]Often when a streamer shows off a new character as part of their lore, or an NPC in a game shows up onscreen, chat will declare this character their "new oshi" to annoy the streamer[[/labelnote]]
* One baba, or two Shions [[labelnote:Explanation]]Unique units of time, determined by how long someone has overslept by. In Japanese culture, it is considered incredibly rude to be late for anything, and so punctuality is highly valued. Early on in her career, Shion notoriously overslept for a stream by 2 hours, and so "one Shion" is used to denote that unit of time. Later, in reference to the "Granny Wake-Up RTA" that Fubuki had held, both Shion and Marine had overslept for their stream by 4 hours, noted by the Japanese word for old woman, "baba." Other performers have also been guilty of egregious oversleeping, and will sometimes have units of time named after them as well.[[/labelnote]]
* Shishiro Button [[labelnote:Explanation]]Whenever one of the performers does an English-only stream or speaks in English, it tends to be heavily accented; this comes into play whenever they try to say the word "button" when referring to either a controller button or an in-game prompt, and they end up pronouncing it in a way similar to the name of 5th generation member Botan. If it's a collaborative stream, expect someone to reference Botan as the button. Somewhat understandable, as the japanese term for Button, ボタン, is homonymic with Botan's name.[[/labelnote]]
* o7 [[labelnote:Explanation]]The emoticon for saluting. The chat will often give this to show their respect for an idol. In the wake of Coco Kiryu announcing her graduation, Hololive fans in general spammed o7 in every other idol's streams whether it was contextually appropriate or not. This has also extended to Tsukumo Sana after she graduated as well.[[/labelnote]]
* Due to their similar appearances and personalities, many have started joking that Amelia and Haachama are siblings, especially following [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gkr1cB0OIc their Minecraft collab.]]
* With the reveal of hololive Indonesia's Second Generation, people have started making jokes about how [[{{Necromancer}} Rushia]] is responsible for creating [[AttractiveZombie Kureiji Ollie]].
** Similarly, people have started making jokes about [[TheGrimReaper Calli]] trying to kill her/stop Rushia from resurrecting her.
** Following her declaring that, since she died at the age of 17, she's eternally 17, people have begun making jokes about Marine, [[ReallySeventeenYearsOld who also claims to be eternally 17]], wanting to know how Ollie managed it.
* Do you like pineapple pizza? [[labelnote:Explanation]]Similar to asking the talents' hands in marriage, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGZRle3OAPk fans like to ask and compile the responses]] to how members of hololive feel about pineapple toppings on pizza, with a "pizza war" breaking out regardless of how they respond.[[/labelnote]]
* "Unarchived" Karaoke [[labelnote:Explanation]]To avoid being copyright struck, the vast majority of karaoke streams they do aren't saved. However, there are many fan channels who specialize in recording the streams and uploading the various songs, leading many to joke about how most of the "unarchived" streams will end up unofficially archived.[[/labelnote]]
* Ina being summoned to Australia/wherever Haachama is during Haachama cooking [[labelnote:Explanation]]Due to Haachama's reputation as ''the'' CordonBleughChef, many have joked that her cooking is so bad that it can accidentally summon [[AdorableAbomination Ina]].[[/labelnote]]
* [[Creator/ToddHoward "It just works."]] [[labelnote:Explanation]] So far, all 3 [=HoloEN=] members with 1 million subs reached their milestones playing an ''[[Franchise/TheElderScrolls Elder Scrolls]]'' game. (Gura hitting 2M and Calli hitting 1M playing ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim Skyrim]]'', Amelia hitting 1M playing ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsIVOblivion Oblivion]]'').[[/labelnote]]
* Forbidden Knowledge [[labelnote:Explanation]]Sometime late January 2021, [=YouTube=]'s recommendations algorithm started pairing videos of real life people with hololive content, presumably revealing the voice actresses behind some of hololive's characters. Part of it is purely accidental, while another part of it is fledgling English channels engaging in ClickbaitGag titles like "X person is the real Y [=VTuber=]" for a quick buck or shock value. Some people who are on the "it's doxxing" side of the past personas debate, [[https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/kttn8n/watch_out_for_youtube_recommendations/ especially]] [[https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/ktlfga/youtube_recommendations_are_being_dangerous_again/ on]] [[https://www.reddit.com/r/Hololive/comments/l1qno9/remember_to_report_any_videos_you_get_recommended/ /r/hololive]] reacted with BileFascination, calling these videos "forbidden knowledge" and calling for their deletion as it contradicts their usual arguments, but nevertheless are unable to peel their eyes away from said videos. "Forbidden knowledge of past lives" is a variation, occasionally found in the comment section for some Hololive videos, usually prefacing comments containing subtle nods and jokes in regards to the streamers' earlier body of work. Inversely, comments on videos about a talent's past content, or even pre-hololive content uploaded ''by the talent themselves'' will usually contain subtle references to their streams as a member of hololive. [[/labelnote]]
* Ada TV [[labelnote:Explanation]]The auto-generated subtitles for the [=holoID=] song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp90CrP-s_8 "id:entity voices"]] mistake the final word of the chorus as [[https://twitter.com/pavoliareine/status/1379399590001078273 "ada TV" (TL: there is a TV)]] instead of "id:entity". The Indonesian fans picked up on it and turned it into a local meme -- expect to see it [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syRipv5gCvI in chat whenever any of the ID girls sing this song.]][[/labelnote]]
** id:entity Pamomi ver. [[labelnote:Explanation]]A clipper known as "Pamomi ch." made a fan edit to the song, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0Spm7fPau8 claiming]] "id:entity" is similar to the infamous JustForFun/{{Rickroll}}. It gained views faster than the original song, and the ID girls are also aware of the clip (with Ollie being the very first person to comment on the video). Now every time the song is sung or brought up, somebody will either ask if it is, or for them to sing, the Pamomi version.[[/labelnote]]
* V-Tuber Legs [[labelnote:Explanation]][[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li7RoAL2e8w During Amelia Watson's premiere episode of ''Fish Tank'' with Gawr Gura]], the former showed off two pairs of legs (matching both girls' designs) relaxing on the table they were sitting behind, giving the illusion that the avatars were actually resting their legs on the table. This would later catch on as fans would make custom legs for Calliope Mori and Takanashi Kiara before members of the Japanese branch would get their "legs" made by their fans. Polka and Miko would make their own legs from their 3D models. Eventually vtubers outside of hololive, such as EN indies and members of WebVideo/VShojo would get their own "legs" design.[[/labelnote]]
* Blue Wave [[labelnote:Explanation]]Whenever one of the idols needs to go on a restroom break, their fans will send waves of blue (lowest denomination) superchats and/or wave emojis.[[/labelnote]]
* Congratulations for [X] subs! Again... [[labelnote:Explanation]]Upon hitting a subscriber milestone, some idols notice a bit of a drop in numbers around it. It has notably happened to Suisei, Flare and Pekora, with the former [[https://twitter.com/suisei_hosimati/status/1310490575867609089 even making a joke video about it.]].[[/labelnote]]
* The EN Curse [[labelnote:Explanation]]The [=HoloMyth=] girls [[WalkingTechbane are so notoriously prone to technical difficulties]] that viewers have begun expecting them, jokingly claiming that they're cursed and bringing up the "EN Curse" whenever something does go wrong in a collaboration with the other branches. This would continue past EN Gen 1 when [=IRyS=]'s Twitter Account got quickly restricted shortly after her announcement due to the massive increase in followers in a short amount of time, the start of her debut was riddled with audible clicking, an otherwise muted microphone and multiple loading screens, and her OBS didn't quite respond to her near the ending. The Twitter restrictions would continue with the opening of Holo Council (EN Gen 2) and all five members getting their accounts hidden almost instantly. Then on the day Holo Council were meant to debut, technical issues resulted in a delay of 24 hours. [[https://twitter.com/tsukumosana/status/1429078349821874176 Even Sana called out the curse]].[[/labelnote]]
* Twitter Jail [[labelnote:Explanation]]Referring to new Holo members getting their Twitter accounts suspended before debut, whether due to putting their birth year as the current year (Shien, Aloe) or the automated systems mistaking their large influx of followers for botting and other suspicious behavior ([=IRyS=], Kronii, Mumei, Koyori).[[/labelnote]]
* PRAY TO THE [X] [[labelnote:Explanation]]The thumbnail for the first teaser video leading up to Holo Council's reveal was a cube, and chat being what it is, they started going "PRAY TO THE CUBE" in the run-up to the video airing. The thumbnail for the second video was an orb, resulting in "PRAY TO THE ORB", while the one for the third video, the actual reveal, was a bit harder to decipher, resulting in either "PRAY TO THE TANK" or "PRAY TO THE ROCK". Years later, the Advent reveal video, which had a newspaper as its thumbnail, had chat spamming "PRAY TO THE NEWSPAPER". This meme will likely continue in subsequent Hololive English generation reveals. [[/labelnote]]
* JP Lore vs. EN Lore [[labelnote:Explanation]]With the introduction of [=HoloEN=], there have been numerous comparisons between the depths of the English branch's backstories to the backstories of the Japanese branch. While this meme was very minor during the debut of holoMyth, it blew up once again with the introduction of holoCouncil, who had three videos dedicated to their introduction and being practically divine avatars of nature and metaphysics. They are typically compared with the early members of the Japanese branch who started out with incredibly plain backstories.[[/labelnote]]
* YAGOO Not Included [[labelnote:Explanation]]Ever since he first displayed Ebifrion for a merchandise reveal tweet, YAGOO has become the model for all of the new Hololive merchandise announcements. With every new such post, many fans will jokingly ask if YAGOO is included or if he will release his own merchandise and will feign disappointment with the inevitable answer.[[/labelnote]]
* ColorFailure YAGOO [[labelnote:Explanation]]The most common YAGOO meme is him hunched over depressed and colored gray. This has been used by reddit memers and English Council has used the image during their council meetings.[[/labelnote]]
* Ketsu Drum [[labelnote:Explanation]]Literally meaning "butt drum". Refers to [[https://twitter.com/iglooDUDA/status/1307886449010720773 a fan-made animation by Twitter artist @IglooDUDA]], which was uploaded on September 20th, 2020. The short clip consists of Kanata standing bent over, with Coco coming up from behind and slapping her butt to the opening claps of "Undercover Martyn" by Music/TwoDoorCinemaClub, to the tune of which they would start dancing. Its popularity quickly spawned clones and MMD edits of the clip with different characters being inserted to replace Kanata and Coco, both from within hololive itself and other anime and manga.[[/labelnote]]
* VideoGame/RingFitAdventure [[labelnote:Explanation]]This exercise game for the Platform/NintendoSwitch is a veritable FountainOfMemes among hololive's many fanbases due to the sheer amount of hijinks associated with it. Because of the game's emphasis on physical exercises, ''[=RFA=]'' is a source of "yabai" noises for a great many members as it causes them to exert themselves, as well as accidental age and/or weight revelations that they might be embarassed about.[[/labelnote]]
* [X] Funds [[labelnote:Explanation]]Should any of the talent give the slightest hint that they may need a new piece of equipment or want a new bit of luxury, the chat can and will proceed to drown them in superchat money. Often times, they don't even need an excuse as they would just do so because they enjoy both supporting the talent and seeing them flustered.[[/labelnote]]
* Yes My [X] [[labelnote:Explanation]]After La+ asked her fans to respond to her saying "Heed my call" with "Yes My Dark" in her debut stream, every streamer started receiving {{Snowclone}}d versions of this line -- for example, "Yes My Baby" for Miko, which she disliked, and "Yes My Sheep" for Watame, which she absolutely loved. Aki has two, due to a stream where she and Miko tried their hands at "heed my Call": "Yes My Rose" and "Yes My Cute Aki" or [=YMCA=] Note that "Yes My Doggo", which has the same initialism as La+'s, significantly predates the trend. [[/labelnote]]
* Clean your badges [[labelnote:Explanation]]Nearly all of hololive played ''[[VideoGame/PokemonDiamondAndPearl Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl]]'' upon their release, which has the ability to shine your badges (since it's a remake of the first games on [[Platform/NintendoDS a system with a touchscreen]]. This requires playing the game in handheld mode however, whereas streamers need to have their Switches docked in order to connect a capture card. Expect chat to pester everyone about their dirty badges.[[/labelnote]]
* Meme Form holoBirds [[labelnote:Explanation]]It's extremely common for fans to mislabel the bird-themed streamers as the wrong type of bird to provoke an IAmNotWeasel response. It started with Subaru who wasn't even a duck in the first place until she was [[AscendedMeme officially memed]] into being one after comparisons to her voice and WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck's. After that was Kiara whose pre-debut bio contained some InsistentTerminology about being a phoenix and not a chicken while having several references to fried chicken baked in which led to her and her fans diving headfirst into the trope. From there, it's been tradition to find a silly bird alternative for the new bird members. The only exception so far has been Mumei out of a combination of her immediately accepting being called a kiwi, thus [[JustIgnoreIt starving off further attempts from not giving a teased reaction]], and from her NightmareFuelStationAttendant behavior leaving a very strong impression after people initially only thought of her as TheCutie. Other "originally not even a bird" examples include Kronii (a {{Physical God}}dess, but her name and her iconic distressed "gwak" bring to mind crows) and Kaela (a blacksmith, but her black and white outfit is similar to a penguin's coloration, and her last name brings to mind one of ''WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagascar''.)[[/labelnote]]
** This is not by any means exclusive to birds, either. Misidentifying Fubuki, an arctic fox, as a cat is so common it was ascended in a [=holoGra=] skit, and more recently, ID G3's Vestia Zeta was repeatedly called a cat, including by her own genmates ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S5me-sMYJY among which Reine, eager for revenge after being repeatedly called a turkey]]).
* Creator/RyanGosling references, pictures & memes are very common on 4chan's virtual youtuber board.[[labelnote:Explanation]]It's common for posters to talk about "goslings" whenever a talent is being particularly cute or doing what might be termed a "girlfriend experience" such as singing romantic songs on stream. Also, editing the Gosling memes that sprung up from ''Film/BladeRunner2049'' to involve Hololive specific references. Examples include replacing Gosling with a skull for Mori (or giving Gosling a cowboy hat), using the head of Irys' StickFigureAnimation boyfriend from her Valentine's Unarchived Karaoke's stream, or replacing JOI with whichever Holo member, something that Watson turned into an AscendedMeme at the end of her watchalong of the film.[[/labelnote]]
* [=HoloMoms=] [[labelnote:Explanation]]Occasionally, some of the talents would feature their mothers as a guest in a "collab" stream where they can interact with their children's audiences and be ascribed their own nicknames such as Pekomama or Mamatori. As it happens, the moms often prove to be wildly popular {{Cool Old Lad|y}}ies, which usually prompt the fanbase to joke that Cover should hire them on as their own "generation" of sorts.[[/labelnote]]
** "Is your mom single?" [[labelnote:Explanation]]Inevitably asked about the talent's mother, even though it gets inevitably shot down without fail. May also be targeted at other family members when they get brought up, or even non-humans like pets or items[[/labelnote]]
* "Is X single?"[[labelnote:Explanation]]Related to the above, the "is your mom single?" joke later expanded to any person in the talent's immediate vicinty getting asked about their relationship status. Sometimes it's not even limited to ''humans'' with pets and even belongings getting hit with that same question"[[/labelnote]]
* Stories of the antics from the more obsessive fans get passed around mainly because they cause the reader to [[BrainBleach wish they could forget those stories]]. It's likely some of these are made up.
** "Let's pretend I'm still Pekora"[[labelnote:Explanation]][[https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/so-as-a-joke Modified copypasta]] where the author [[https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/people/usada-pekora#:~:text=Game%20of%20Pretend%20Copypasta crossdresses as Pekora]] to prank his friend who's a big fan of hers, but the [[EscalatingPunchline prank goes a little too far]] and they end up [[ComingOutStory having sex]], written in [[TooMuchInformation uncomfortable detail]].[[/labelnote]]
** Suipiss[[labelnote:Explanation]]A fan of Suisei modifies their diet to match Suisei's so that their piss would match hers.[[/labelnote]]
** Pekotulpa [[labelnote:Explanation]]A fan of Pekora tries overdosing on their medication while watching her streams to get themselves to vividly hallucinate Pekora, leaving detailed updates of their progress on 4chan. They overdo it and instead delude themselves into being Pekora.[[/labelnote]]
* "New viewer here, who should I watch?"[[labelnote:Explanation]]Once in a while, a chat member will [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=431IwIYp6Hw ask]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJGi3i5-q_4 for]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vADmu8J5J6w a]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4u3K9pfn9E recommendation]] of who to watch. Other than La+, who was honest and recommended Towa, the question's been answered with "Why not me?" with some mix of [[DeathGlare uncomfortable close-ups]], {{Deadpan Snark|er}}ing, and [[AskAStupidQuestion incredulity]].[[/labelnote]]
* [[Franchise/LooneyTunes Looney VTubers]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Pekora and Subaru's recurring [[https://youtu.be/GtZBa7sbcGE prank wars]] in ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'', on top of their identities as a [[RascallyRabbit rabbit]] and [[NoisyDuck duck]], has led to jokes about the two being WesternAnimation/BugsBunny and WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck respectively. This resulted in some [[https://youtu.be/sW29Lb7M-zI fan animations]] of the two filling their roles, which soon escalated to have multiple members of hololive represent ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' characters, including Aqua as WesternAnimation/ElmerFudd, Marine as WesternAnimation/YosemiteSam, Botan as Pete Puma, and Watame as [[WesternAnimation/WileECoyoteAndTheRoadRunner Road Runner]].[[/labelnote]]
* Let me lend my voice[[labelnote:Explanation]]At the start of May 2023, many members of hololive started playing ''VideoGame/IdolShowdown'', and when they hear their own characters' voice lines (which is often ripped from from streams), some will note the low quality in their voices and will start giving their own improvised action, pained, and KO lines on-stream for the developers to use. More often than not, the developers themselves will take note of their requests via [=SuperChat=]s, and will apply them as a hotfix update.[[/labelnote]]
* Eating Mike Tyson's Ass [[labelnote:Explanation]]A user with that name, who is primarily a Korone fan but has since decided to follow and donate to the other idols as well, causing some interesting reactions when they read his name out loud because of what it means. He has since become a FandomVIP of sorts being called a legend within the Holo community[[/labelnote]]
* If she has blue hair, she's crazy [[labelnote:Explanation]]Fans declared as a rule if a girl has blue hair, she is more than likely to be crazy. This has been shown with Suisei who is known for her sociopathic behavior, Pekora whom fans labeled as a war criminal, and even someone like ''[[BewareTheNiceOnes Lamy]]'' had displayed such behavior. Even with Kronii, who has blue back hair, threatens Vesper '''''[[CrossesTheLineTwice ON-STREAM]]''''' to play certain cards on Uno. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsF7A38NUnY Even Nerissa is not immune to such behavior after killing Mococo in Minecraft]], and lets out an an impressive EvilLaugh. Incidentally, Fuwawa and Mococo were playing ''VideoGame/ApexLegends'' with Nerissa, and Fuwawa, who has blue hues, revels in ''killing'' the opposition, which heightens this meme further, which is not too unsimilar from their "EXTREME VIOLENCE" meme. So far, Ao Hiodoshi hasn't displayed such behavior. Yet.[[/labelnote]]
* [[https://youtu.be/BcO9bZavHRg?si=OBonHj_Xv90yDVBY HoloTori Dance]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]An [[https://twitter.com/KS_wktk/status/1370702788624142336 animation of Subaru dancing with her duck form]] was [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlcWBPDl5WA set to]] "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ccoZhuNlls Hey Ya]]" by Music/OutKast, which was cropped into the video above that became cute and generic enough without needing context, making it prime fodder for memetic use. It became an AscendedMeme after Subaru and Kiara [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCdkevtRT7o replicated the dance]] on Kiara's 3D Showcase stream, and afterwards became the official dance of the [=HoloTori=] group, containing Subaru (duck), Kiara (phoenix), Lui (hawk), Mumei (owl), and Reine (peafowl).[[/labelnote]]
* [=ReGLOSS=] is [[Manga/BocchiTheRock Kessoku Band]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]With the color schemes of Ao, Kanade and Ririka corresponding to that of Ryo, Nijika and Kita respectively, the fans began drawing parallels, extrapolating from "Aqua = Bocchi". Raden being LadyDrunk also helped line up a parallel to Kikuri.[[/labelnote]]
* A-chan carrying on YAGOO's idol dream [[labelnote:Explanation]]Despite her managerial role, A-chan has demonstrated time and again that she ''is'' pretty damn good at singing, whether on Twitter Spaces, during the occasional karaoke sessions hosted on the official Hololive channel, or as of 2023, her own membership-only section. This combined with her perceived {{Moe}} qualities by the fanbase led them to collectively label her as the one "true" idol that YAGOO is keeping in the wings for some reason, and the one to keep his "idol dream" alive despite his other employees' best efforts to comically ruin it since Hololive's beginning.[[/labelnote]]
* Suika Game Virus[[labelnote:Explanation]]Starting from the first week of October 2023, the talents started playing ''Suika Game,'' a Japanese puzzle game for the Nintendo Switch, whose cutesy fruit aesthetic belies its [[NintendoHard shockingly fiendish difficulty.]] As every day passed, more and more of the talents from every branch started streaming it with hilarious frequency, leading the overall community to jokingly panic at how Hololive has been infected with the Suika Game Virus.[[/labelnote]]
* Important Announcement[[labelnote:Explanation]]A meme spawning from Cover's official announcements regarding the idols under its employ. However, as it's also typically used to announce a talent's graduation (or termination in the case of Rushia), it has since gained a very negative connotation, made worse by the language barrier for many overseas viewers, since the associated English translation only became a staple as of late 2022. As a result, it's very common to see fans having a collective freakout whenever the official Hololive account posted a thread with this label, regardless of the actual subject matter, though it also paved the way for some of the idols themselves to turn it into a joke as well to troll their audience.[[/labelnote]]
* Cool blue woman is a myth[[labelnote:Explanation]]A meme initially poking fun at Kronii, who was [[InformedAttribute described as aloof and sadistic in her character lore but quickly turned out to be a huge goofball]] with perceived {{Moe}} qualities, who's exceptionally weak to horror content. This extended to Ao as well after [=ReGLOSS=]' own introduction, where her coolness quickly gave way to similar comedic antics and self-image destruction, with Suisei also being retroactively included later on due to her sharing common grounds. As such, fans have made this into a mantra for every time a new holomem is described as cool and uses a predominantly blue color palette, only to then [[BrokenPedestal break their own pedestals]] and [[EndearinglyDorky display their gap moe for all and sundry to see.]][[/labelnote]]
* JDON MY SOUL[[labelnote:Explanation]]A meme that started in Bae-cademy when Hajime was trying to say an Australian line to Kaela, and due to her accent, the line "maccas run soon, my shout" (which Bae said with an exaggerated Australian accent) came off as "macca zudon soon, my shout", which later mutated into "make a jdon suru my soul". While the meme is primarily associated with Bae, it has since become widespread and includes all of the girls involved in the collab (Kaela, Kobo, Hajime, Miko, Nerissa), along with a few girls who weren't a part of it like Bijou and Ollie. Kaela, in particular, who was most aggressive in gaslighting Bae about the inclusion of the word 'jdon', quickly incorporated it into her stream intro when collab'ing, much to the little rat's chagrin. Bae herself found the meme embarrassing and was exasperated that it began trending on Twitter, before finally giving in and embracing it herself (it was only a matter of time).[[/labelnote]]
