''Mononoke Sharing'' is an UrbanFantasy SliceOfLife manga by Creator/CoolKyouShinsha starring a high school student named Yata Kagami, and the five {{Yokai}} that act as her roommates.

The manga ran in ''Young Magazine the 3rd'' from 2015 to 2017. It was licensed by Creator/SevenSeasEntertainment and began release in North America in March 2018.

!!This work contains examples of the following tropes:
* AmusingInjuries: Momi has a habit of ripping out her horns when she needs to fit in among humans, resulting in a comical amount of blood spurting from the sides of her head.
* BathtubBonding: Attempted by Yuki in chapter 8. Unfortunately, simply dipping her foot in the water causes the bath to freeze, and Yata ends up catching a cold.
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Kuro tries to form a comedy duo with Yata in chapter 7, noting that she's the only tsukkomi in the house.
* TheCameo:
** Mizuchi attends the same college as and is classmates with [[Manga/{{Ojojojo}} Akane]].
** Momi is watching the anime adaptation of ''Manga/KomorisanCantDecline'' in chapter 17. [[CelebrityParadox Which is odd]], since, due to the above cameo, the two manga should exist in [[TheVerse the same universe]]. [[spoiler: That is assuming it's an anime she's watching. That chapter has multiple bits of foreshadowing Momi's true nature, making it entirely possible she's just using the TV to keep an eye on the world she helped make.]]
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Both Yata and Momi are different to their predecessors Kobayashi and Tohru from ''Manga/MissKobayashisDragonMaid''.
** Yata Kagami is the polar opposite to her predecessor Kobayashi in a few aspects despite their similarity of living alongside a race of fantastical creatures. While Kobayashi has a calm, level-headed and nonchalant personality who is kind to others, acting as the VoiceOfReason to Tohru and the other dragons and openly well-likes them, Yata is cruel and cold to others and has a nasty [[HairTriggerTemper anger issue]], where she is openly hateful towards the Youkai including Mizuchi, though she sheds that personality over the course of the story. Kobayashi is an {{Office Lady}} who works as a programmer, while Yata is a high school student who works at a part-time job as a gas station attendant. Kobayashi is masculine-looking, while Yata is feminine-looking.
** Momi is drastically different to Tohru. Tohru is a shapeshifting dragon who immediately reveals her true nature to Kobayashi in her very first appearance of the manga. Momi is an Oni Youkai [[spoiler:whose true nature as a PhysicalGod and the creator of her race and [[TheVerse the entire universe]] along with Lucoa, Miki, Akiko, etc., which birthed many of the characters, is mostly hidden towards Yata up to the final ends of the story, making her a SecretKeeper.]] And they also contrast in terms of personality. Tohru is sociable and excitable who regularly interacts with the rest of her dragon and human circle, while Momi is a shut-in who is extremely introverted and rarely interacts to others.
* CuteMonsterGirl: Justified. Mizuchi explains to Yata that all yokai resemble humans in an attempt to blend in. Those that don't have long since died out. [[spoiler:Momi also reveals near the end of the series that they are actually becoming more human as the generations go on, and will eventually lose their powers all together.]]
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Miho's pupils are + shaped.
* {{Expy}}: Momi is basically [[Manga/MissKobayashisDragonMaid Lucoa]] as a lazy shut-in. She has horns, large breasts, and is an AllPowerfulBystander, and has a thing for little boys. However, while Lucoa is just playful teasing, Momi has no problems with the real thing. Multiple times.
* ExpyCoexistence: While Momi is an Expy of Lucoa, due to a SharedUniverse, the latter also exists but is currently living elsewhere with Shouta.
* FestivalEpisode: Yata, Yuki, and Kuro go to a summer festival in chapter 11.
* GenerationalMagicDecline: The mononoke race has become progressively more human over the generations [[spoiler:due to them not having been part of the plan of the gods when the world was created]], which is why they all appear as {{Cute Monster Girl}}s. [[spoiler:It's mentioned near the end of the series that all of them will be born fully human within the next few decades.]]
* GodWasMyCopilot: Near the end of the series it's revealed that [[spoiler:Momi was the creator of the entire mononoke race.]]
-->'''Yata:''' You mean all this time I've been sharing a bathroom with a ''god''?
* HideYourOtherness:
** All the girls except for Kuro have to take measures to appear human when they're in public. Mizuchi wears a wig to hide her head plate, Yuki wears extra layers to keep herself from freezing everything, Yooko wears a hoodie to cover her ears, and [[AmusingInjuries Momi rips out her horns]].
** [[spoiler:Inverted with Chiehime, who dresses like a stereotypical yokai in order to hide the fact that she's [[MuggleBornOfMages functionally human]].]]
* ImAHumanitarian: Mizuchi has, on several occasions, joked about a desire to feast on human souls.
* {{Irony}}: Of the situational variety. At one point Momi offers to make Yata's chest bigger, only for her to refuse the offer as to just up and change her body would be like spitting in God's face. [[spoiler: As Yata much later learns, a God was the one making the offer in the first place.]]
* ALizardNamedLiz: All five of the Yokai have names that in some way reference their species.
* LovableSexManiac: Yooko. She's probably the only person to ever use sex to hide a conversation.
* MonsterRoommate: Five of them, in fact.
* MuggleBornOfMages: [[spoiler:Chiehime is a pure-blood yokai, but lacks any powers and is functionally identical to a human.]]
* {{Nurikabe}}: Oi-chan spends most of her time acting as a section of a wall in the cast's apartment building (since she can't hold a human form for long periods of time).
* OnlyOneName: None of the yokai has had their last names revealed if they even have them.
* PhysicalGod: [[spoiler:Momi helped create the world alongside [[Manga/MissKobayashisDragonMaid Lucoa]], [[Manga/ICantUnderstandWhatMyHusbandIsSaying Miki, Akiko]] and others, and was the one who created the entire mononoke race to stave off her boredom until humanity came around.]]
* PowerIncontinence: Yuki has very little control over her ice powers, which results in her freezing everything around her.
* PrimalScene: Invoked. Yooko starts having sex with a ghost she was talking to when Yata barges into her room in order to hid the fact that she was asking it advice for getting Yata a birthday present.
* PungeonMaster: Kuro is an aspiring comedian, and constantly makes puns surrounding her neck.
* TheReliableOne: Mizuchi is the most responsible of the girls and most of them rely on her in order to function (in Momi's case, this includes basic hygiene). When she goes away for a few days, the apartment becomes a complete mess.
* ScholarshipStudent: This is the main reason why Yata ended up in the apartment in the first place, since she couldn't afford housing otherwise.
* ShoutOut: When showing off her neck jokes in chapter 7, Kuro forms the Platform/SegaDreamcast logo.
* TokenHuman: Yata is the only major human in the story.
* ToUnmasqueTheWorld: The plot revolves around seeing whether or not {{yokai}} should reveal their existence to humanity and assimilate into society, using the test of five yokai living in an apartment with a TokenHuman. [[spoiler:The epilogue shows that the test was a success, with yokai and humans now living together.]]
* TrashTheSet: Volume 1 ends with Mizuchi, Yooko, and Momi accidentally blowing up the apartment when they set off some fireworks. The first chapter of volume 2 focuses on everyone trying to find temporary housing until the landlord can have the place rebuilt.
* TheUnmasquedWorld: The main reason for the yokai living with Yata is to see if they should reveal themselves to humans. [[spoiler:This comes to pass in the epilogue.]]
* VisualPun: Oi-chan (a nurikabe) is the only mononoke to lack giant boobs, even when she's shown as an adult in the epilogue. She's flat as a board.
* WorldOfBuxom: All the yokai have large breasts.
* {{Yokai}}: Five of them. Mizuchi is a kappa, Yooko is a kitsune, Kuro is a rokurokubi, Momi is an oni, and Yuki is a yuki-onna.
