One night, however, Kiritaka is sent [[FabricatedBlackmail an edited video of his mother having sex with a stranger]], and is {{blackmail}}ed by Okaya into jumping off a cliff in exchange for not uploading it to the internet. Noticing that her son left the house in the middle of the night, Mari tracks Kiritaka to the cliff, [[YouAreTooLate only to find his mangled, broken body]] mere seconds before he is [[CruelAndUnusualDeath run over by a truck]] and [[DeathOfAChild killed]].
