In anime, when a CheerfulChild is being [[{{Kawaiiko}} cute]], often they'll have what appears to be blush on their cheeks, except that instead of being drawn as a circular gradient like you might expect, the blush appears as a flat horizontal oval with little or no shading, almost as though they just put a sticker on their cheek. Sometimes the blush even goes past the edge of their cheek and sits half on their cheek and half in the air.

A character may have one or two Blush Stickers regardless of whether it's symmetrical. Sometimes, blush stickers are even permanent. It's also popular on dark-skinned characters whose blush might be otherwise hard to see.

Expect these characters to be prone to the CrushBlush.

Compare LuminescentBlush and DrunkenGlow. Either one may also be used to indicate [[DrunkenGlow drunkenness]] or, in the case of {{Hentai}} and {{Ecchi}}, arousal. See also ThroughAFaceFullOfFur for the non-human variant. Do not confuse it with a ButtSticker.

[[folder:Anime and Manga]]

** Happy gets these after switching bodies with Erza.

%%* ''Manga/LuckyStar'' makes great use of those.
* A defining trait of [[AdorablyPrecociousChild Luca]] from ''Anime/MacrossFrontier''. He loses them as the show becomes drastically more serious, befitting his new, somber attitude. 67%%* Shiranui in ''Manga/MedakaBox''.
* Ochaco Uraraka in ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'' has small permanent ones which highlight her cuteness and innocence, and she [[StrongFamilyResemblance inherited them from her mother]]. 71* ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'':
** Rock Lee had these when he first met Sakura and also gets them when he gets drunk.

** Konohamaru has them in the manga too. He lost them as an adult.
** Hinata as a young child in flashbacks.
* ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'':
** Subverted with [[spoiler:Chao Lingshen]]. What appears to be Blush stickers are actually part of a [[spoiler:TronLines MarkedChange]], and the rest is just under her clothes and hair.
** Also Zect, who is [[spoiler:a very old and powerful demon, easily recognized as such by denizens of the magic world]].
* ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'': If you look closely, you see that [[http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/3434/eoesandboxsadshinjitj1.jpg child Shinji]] has Blush Stickers in a scene from ''End of Evangelion''.
* Niea and Karna from ''Anime/NieaUnder7'' have very prominent ones, which seems to be an alien thing.

* ''Anime/OjamajoDoremi'': Hana has them all the time until she grows up. When she uses magic [[FreakyFridayFlip to switch places with Pop]] in a ''Naisho'' episode, these appearing on the latter makes it clear what just happened.
%%* ''Anime/PaniPoniDash'': Just about everyone, especially in their chibified forms; it's normally seen with Mesousa, however.
* Aunty Yorkshire from ''Anime/{{Pecola}}'' has the permanent variety.
* Misaki in ''Literature/ThePetGirlOfSakurasou'' sports them sometimes, and shows up in the avatar for Ryuunosuke's ArtificialIntelligence system "maid" that she designed.
* A variation appears in ''Manga/PokemonGoldenBoys''. Every (human) character has markings on their cheeks that resemble small [[LuminescentBlush Luminescent Blushes]].
%%
%% ''Popotan'' was removed from the wiki for violating the content policy. Do not restore the pothole, and do not uncomment until proper context is added.
%%
%%* ''Popotan'': Mii
* ''Manga/PrincessJellyfish'': Kuranosuke's older brother gets these while having a romantic ImagineSpot.
* ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'': Tatsuya, Madoka's little brother, has the permanent variety. It certainly helps that he is one of (very) few characters not [[BreakTheCutie emotionally battered by the end of the series]].
* Maggie Mui in ''Anime/RODTheTV'' gets these regularly. Interesting, as she's the [[TheBigGuy tall]], [[TheQuietOne quiet one]] of the sisters.
* ''Manga/RurouniKenshin'':
** Sanosuke's kid brother has permanent blush stickers and is nicknamed 'Apple Cheeks' for obvious reasons.

* ''Manga/{{Saki}}'': [[CatGirl Kana]] has them practically all the time save for when she's really depressed.
* ''Manga/SevenSeeds'' gives them to the three youngest of the characters Hibari, Nobita and Hotaru, although the latter is the only one who sports them permanently.
* ''Manga/SoulEater'':
** Patti. She has these ''all the time''. And also Blair, when she acts particularly cat-like.
** Death the Kid whenever he sees something symmetrical.
%%** Fire and Thunder.
* Creator/StudioGhibli uses this a lot.
%%** ''Anime/SpiritedAway'': Chihiro
%%** ''Anime/MyNeighborTotoro'': Little Mei.
%%** ''Anime/KikisDeliveryService'': Kiki.
** Setsuko in ''Anime/GraveOfTheFireflies''. [[spoiler: She loses them as she slowly dies of starvation.]]
* Koume of ''Literature/TaishoBaseballGirls''. All the frickin' time. She can add an additional layer of blush ''on top of her stickers.'' Now THAT's {{Moe}}.
* ''Manga/TsubasaReservoirChronicle'': Kurogane of [[PerpetualFrowner all people]] gets one when Syaoran suggests they steal a book holding one of Sakura's [[McGuffin feathers]]. Much like Fai's example earlier in the chapter, it seems to be a sign of boyish mischief more than anything else.
%%* ''Anime/TwinPrincessOfWonderPlanet'':
%%** Rein and Fine get these every now and then.
%%** Bibin from ''"Gyu!"'' has these all the time.
* In ''Manga/UmiNoMisaki'', Karin's little sister Rinne has permanent ones.

* [[Manga/YotsubaTo Yotsuba]] gets these when she's particularly proud of something she did, like reading off a menu or tying her shoe. ([[ItMakesSenseInContext For context]], Yotsuba is five years old.)
* Appears on many ''Franchise/YuGiOh'' cards, but the most prominent is the Dark Magician Girl.
* The Nishigori triplets from ''Anime/YuriOnIce'' all have permanent ones, being the youngest characters in the cast.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Asian Animation]]
* Miss Peach of ''Animation/HappyHeroes'' has permanent blush stickers.
* The characters in ''Animation/OurFriendXiongXiaoMi'' have blushes of this kind.
* The ''Animation/PleasantGoatFunClass'' versions of the ''Animation/PleasantGoatAndBigBigWolf'' characters have permanent blush stickers.
* In ''Animation/YamuchasKungFuAcademy'', this is a common feature with the characters. The squid thieves don't have them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* ''ComicBook/Robin1993'': The villain Tiger Moth (II) evidently likes the aesthetic as she included a set of blush stickers on her otherwise insectoid mask.
* In ''ComicBook/SupergirlCosmicAdventuresInThe8thGrade'' Linda Lee--alias ComicBook/{{Supergirl}}--blushes this way after being lectured publicly by her school's Principal.
* ''ComicBook/TeenTitansYearOne'': For whatever reason, ComicBook/WonderGirl has permanent blush stickers.
* ''Franchise/WonderWoman'' [[ComicBook/WonderWoman1942 Vol 1]]: Princess Snowina has a permanent pink round blush on each cheek.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Animated]]
* In ''Animation/PleasantGoatAndBigBigWolfAmazingPleasantGoat'', Little Cutie, a green caterpillar Tibbie carries with her, has permanent swirl-shaped blushes.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* Most of the main cast of ''Literature/SamuraiScarecrow'' have these. Kasha may be the exception, her blush looking more natural than the others.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* In ''Series/TheToyCastle'', several of the characters, such as the Soldier, the Ballerina, and the Rag Doll, have painted red/pink cheeks, highlighting their nature as toys.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Professional Wrestling]]
* IWA Texas ACW American Joshi Champion Su Yung painted two in the vein of [[Videogame/PokemonRedAndBlue Pikachu]] on her face.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Toys]]
* Toys/{{Lalaloopsy}} dolls have sewn-on cheeks in varying shades of pink, as they are based on ragdolls.
* Several characters in ''Franchise/{{Tamagotchi}}'', including (but not limited to) Mametchi, Lovelitchi, Kuromametchi, Kikitchi, Orenetchi, and Nijfuwatchi, have permanent blush stickers.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* In the opening animation for the [=PS2=] version of ''VideoGame/ArcanaHeart'', the whole cast showcases this trope.
* Lina of ''VideoGame/BladeStrangers'' sports a pair, which is quite jarring considering her [[AxCrazy personality]].
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' slaps a pair on Makoto after Amane's Astral is done with her. [[http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o299/LoveKuja/1350498280395.jpg Gentlemen... BEHOLD!!]]
* Toroko from ''VideoGame/CaveStory'' has permanent bright ovals on both her cheeks. [[MagicMushroom Ma Pignon]] has a permanent one on his left cheek.
%%* Madeline's cutscene portraits have this in ''VideoGame/{{Celeste}}''.
* Aurora from ''VideoGame/ChildOfLight'' has these, making her look cute and innocent. [[spoiler: She still keeps them after her OvernightAgeUp into a young lady.]]
* Some ports of ''VideoGame/ClockWerx'' have StopMotion {{Cutscene}}s in which the protagonist sports these--and they really are an extra layer of pink clay stuck to his face.
* ''VideoGame/{{Disgaea|HourOfDarkness}}'': Flonne has them.
* ''VideoGame/ElliotAndTheMusicalJourney'': Elliot and Tristan have these permanently stuck on their faces.
* The characters of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyTacticsAdvance''. As for [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyTacticsA2 its sequel]], they transformed into {{Luminescent Blush}}es.
* All the hamsters blush this way in the ''Anime/{{Hamtaro}}'' games.
* Some of the characters in ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' (including the titular character) have blush stickers. This includes the Waddle Dees and even ''Meta Knight!'' (though you'll have to break the latter's mask to see them).
* ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'':
** ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask'' gives these to the Deku Princess. It helps to further mark her as the only [[PlantPerson Deku Scrub]] who is both fully friendly and lacking their FantasticRacism.
** ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess'' has the very unusual example of the [[https://zelda.gamepedia.com/File:TPHD_Deku_Toad_Stunned.png Deku Toad]], a miniboss monster with a pair of these designed with differently colored rings that give them the appearance of archery targets.
** In ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSpiritTracks'', Link gains some, although they are only visible on his map sprite-symbol and in certain cutscenes. This is the second notable trait that sets him apart from the otherwise identical Link from ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker'', the first being the lower pitch of his voice.
** In ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild'', Impa's timid granddaughter Paya has these. [[BirdPeople Revali]] also has small patches of feathers that resemble these, though unusually for this trope he's [[ItsAllAboutMe far from bashful]]. Lastly, "The Champions' Ballad" shows that Prince Sidon had these back when he was a timid child.
* ''VideoGame/LUNATheShadowDust'': [[PlayerCharacter The boy]] has blush stickers visible on his cheeks. They're half-obscured by the boy's bunny rabbit ears headgear.
* The ''VideoGame/{{MOTHER}}'' series uses ovular blush stickers on both the in-game sprites and clay models of many of its younger, cuter characters, including all of the KidHero protagonists. Alongside the SuperDeformed proportions of the characters, it gives the art style of the series its soft, round cuteness (and contributes to the slight ArtStyleDissonance considering some of the darker themes of the games).[[note]]Those including ParentalAbandonment and [[AbusiveParents child abuse]], AlienInvasion, death, and CyberneticsEatYourSoul among others.[[/note]]
* ''VideoGame/TheOtherAirisAdventure'': The UndergroundMonkey-type PaletteSwap version of ordinary red Tomato enemies, Sweet Tomatoes, have them. They just keep waiting, never attacking.
* Most of the younger fairy characters in the ''VideoGame/PanelDePon'' series have them.
%%* Vivian in ''VideoGame/PaperMarioTheThousandYearDoor''.
* In ''VideoGame/Persona4'', [[ShrinkingViolet Ayane]]. To the point where it's a fandom joke that every time she actually blushes, she's closer to evolving into a Pikachu.
* ''VideoGame/PhantomBrave'' has Marona, Carona, and Castile, who all have very faint ones in most official art featuring them.
* Many Franchise/{{Pokemon}}, especially of the Fairy egg group. Clefairy and Pikachu are most noteworthy of the lot, being the original and ascended fanon franchise mascots, respectively. Pikachu's red blush stickers are particularly noteworthy - as they're actually a pair of organs that control its electric abilities called "[[ShockAndAwe electric sacs]]". Pikachu isn't alone as there are [[RecurringElement many]] electric rodent Pokemon with electric sacs on their cheeks. They all are able to learn an attack called "Nuzzle" (known as Cheek Rub in Japanese), which does little damage but always paralyzes the target.
* More than 90% of the characters in ''VideoGame/PokemonCafeMix'' are an exercise in how to effectively apply blush stickers to the cheeks of various Pokémon to maximize their cuteness.
* ''VideoGame/PrincessMaker5'': Your daughter sports a pair of these. Oddly enough, there are times in which she actually [[LuminescentBlush blushes]].
* Luke Triton of ''VideoGame/ProfessorLayton'' has somewhat difficult-to-distinguish blush stickers on his sprites and character models, though in animation they become a LuminescentBlush. A number of [=NPCs=] in the series also have them.
* A number of ''VideoGame/PuyoPuyo'' characters, including but not limited to Feli and Oniko, have permanent blush stickers. Other times, characters will briefly spawn blush stickers on their faces to express an emotion, such as Tee's blushing dialogue sprite being used exactly once in the story mode for ''VideoGame/PuyoPuyoTetris''.
* ''VideoGame/RagnarokOnline'' has the Blush middle headgear.
%%* In the Valentine's Day update for ''VideoGame/{{Scribblenauts}} Remix'', Maxwell ends up doing this.
* In-game, inklings in ''Franchise/{{Splatoon}}'' have circular blush marks on their cheeks, although they're considerably more realistic in color than most examples.
* Blushes of the ''VideoGame/SummonNight'' series are always of this sort.
* In ''VideoGame/SuperMarioParty'', Mario is given faint reddish blush on his cheeks for some reason, although unlike other examples on this list they realistically blend in with his skin, similar to the ''Splatoon'' example above. It's the only game he ever has these circular blushes.
* In the ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' series, Ness has rosy blush stickers on his cheeks, most notably in the first three games. Averted in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU'', and ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'' where he no longer has them.
* ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'': Tear's "Monster Collector" title gives her these, but they're hard to notice until a cutscene.
* In ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'', the Pocket Medic is a little team-colored Medic doll that sits in a pocket stitched to the Heavy's vest or the Soldier's fatigues, complete with a smile and blush. [[http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Pocket_Medic Isn't he cute?]]
* Every single character in ''VideoGame/TouhouMystiasIzakaya'' has them. It's such a core part of the game's art style that even the characters' smaller overworld sprites have them.
* A large number of the characters in ''Franchise/TouhouProject'' have them in ZUN's art, though they're often so subtle that they're easy to miss. It doesn't help that whether or not a character has them isn't consistent between games.
* Kanisawa Kinu, from ''Tsuyokiss'', has these permanently.
* ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'':
** [[spoiler:[[EnfanteTerrible Chara]]]] has these. What a cute thing for such a cute [[spoiler:[[CuteIsEvil potentially mass murdering]]]] child to have!
** Tsundereplane can also develop the conventional pair of pink stickers sitting half on and half off its cockpit, which add a rare SplashOfColor to the usually monochrome battle screen.
* In ''VideoGame/AWitchsTale'', almost every character has blush stickers except for the Eld Witch and the Cheshire Cat.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Visual Novels]]
* ''Franchise/AceAttorney'':
** The very young Pearl Fey has blush marks.
** Pops up a few times on the more comedic characters, especially Larry Butz, who blushes when he gets excited or flustered.
** Incongruously, the aptly-named Wendy Oldbag also blushes whenever in {{fangirl}} mode over her latest celebrity obsession (and Edgey-poo).
** Iris tends to have blush marks a lot, especially when talking with or about Phoenix.
** Juniper has permanent ones when in casual clothes. When she knits the scarf for Apollo [[CrushBlush they double in size]].
* The fruits in ''VisualNovel/ChopChopFruitSaladMysteryJamDokiDokiDatingSimTHingy'' get blush stickers slapped over their [[GISSyndrome photorealistic fruit bodies]] whenever they're flustered.
* Teruteru Hanamura, Hiyoko Saionji and Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu from ''VisualNovel/Danganronpa2GoodbyeDespair'' has permanent ones - the latter likely to his chagrin, since he certainly doesn't appreciate being thought of as cute. They also appear on ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony''’s Ryoma Hoshi.
* When Emi from ''VisualNovel/KatawaShoujo'' blushes, it takes a form of bright pink ovals that extend past her cheeks.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* ''{{Toys/Bionicle}} Bohrok Animations'': Hewkii and Macku [[ExpressiveMask blush over their masks]] after their [[MomentKiller romantic moment gets interrupted]]. Writer [[WordOfGod Greg Farshtey]] would use this gag an example for why these animations and their implied romances are not canon to his ''BIONICLE'' books and comics.
-->'''Greg:''' [[ThroughAFaceFullOfFur Metal can't blush!]]
%%* Website/BrainPOP: Tim in the "Stress" video... Although in that case it was due to, well, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin stress]].
* ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends'': Cuddles and Mime have permanent, pink blush on their cheeks.
* ''WebAnimation/NekoSugarGirls'': Koneko and Raku have blush stickers to signify they're supposed to be cute CatGirl characters.
%%* Doki from ''WebAnimation/ThereSheIs'' sports the permanent variety.
* ''WebAnimation/TrickMoon'': Pocket always has pink, circle-shaped blush on her cheeks.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Webcomics]]
* Princess Peach permanently has blush marks in ''Webcomic/The3LittlePrincesses''. None of the other characters have it though so it probably signifies her eccentric attitude and her place as TheFakeCutie. Later Rosalina and Daisy get blushes due to playing a DrinkingGame for ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfZelda1989''; Peach's normal blush simply deepens.
%% * ''Webcomic/AngelMoxie'': Especially with Riley.
* Taito ''Webcomic/{{Consolers}}'':
** Taito has rather strange yellow, round ones on her cheeks.
** HAL has more standard small pink ones.
* Alaska from ''[[http://destinyfailsus.com Destiny Fails Us]]'' displays the blush stickers in almost every comic she appears in. Other characters may display blush stickers at various times.
%% * Claire Hannah has a pair in ''Webcomic/EurekaSeven ParadoxMakers'', used to show her IncorruptiblePurePureness.
* ''Webcomic/FarStarSummerSchool'': A few of the students have these as a part of their character designs:
** Esther has round blushes on her cheeks.
** Leecha too, although hers are a little more misshapen.
%% * Ayako and Mimi from ''Webcomic/FiyoraNya''.
%% * Cherubs from ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'', especially [[spoiler:Caliborn]]. The DemonicDummy Lil' Cal is also painted this way.
* ''[[http://www.intrepidgirlbot.com The Intrepid Girlbot]]'' has blush magnets in [[http://www.intrepidgirlbot.com/images/site/extras/guestbot_abbylehrke.png this guest comic by Abby Lehrke]].
%%* ''Webcomic/GunnerkriggCourt'':
%%** The purple-haired girl from Foley House, as seen [[http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=332 here]].
%%** Hetty, with the excuse of being a doll.
* ''Webcomic/LatchkeyKingdom'' features the Lag race, many of whom have prominent Blush Sticker-like fur patterns. Willa, the protagonist, is unique in having an ''[[ExaggeratedTrope extra]]'' set diagonally down and back from the ones on her cheeks.
* Michelle Flammel from ''Webcomic/{{Monsterful}}'' is an exaggerated example. She's an Homunculus girl with a [[http://www.monsterful.com/chapter09page01.php permanent blush]] as one of her trademark features; this blush may even be combined with a different blush to create a [[http://www.monsterful.com/chapter14page24.php Double-Blush]] when she's actually feeling shy or nervous. Even when she transforms into the [[http://www.monsterful.com/znp11-02.php PHC (Psychotic Homunculus Cyborg)]] and half of her face becomes robotized she sports a [[http://www.monsterful.com/znp11-02.php robotic light permanent blush.]]
* ''Webcomic/QuestionableContent'' has this, but seemingly only for robots; human characters blush in a more natural way. This may be entirely intentional, as a robot would need to have a "blush function" built in by design.
* Most of the characters in ''Webcomic/{{Shortpacked}}'' have permanent ones. [[{{Jerkass}} Mike's]] only show up when he's drunk.
%% * In ''Webcomic/{{Sinfest}}'', the boy who learns of Baby Blue's crush.
%%** That [[http://www.sinfest.net/view.php?date=2012-02-07 was]] [[http://www.sinfest.net/view.php?date=2012-03-04 Jesus]] by the way.
* ''Webcomic/TowerOfGod'': Yeo Goseng sports these after the Room game, praising Wangnan. At that point, she is incredibly inebriated. In the anime, Anak Jahad had these as a little kid.
%% * Sabine from the ''Valkyrie'' comic at ShiftyLook gets these as a part of the comic's massive ArtShift.
* In ''Webcomic/YokokasQuest'', Raya sports these on multiple occasions, with the first clear example being together with PuppyDogEyes to maximize her [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter cuteness]], [[https://yokokasquest.com/comic/chapter-4-page-41/ when convincing Kagi and Yfa to let her go and look for a mushroom with Yfa]].

** In "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS8E10TheBreakUpBreakdown The Break Up Break Down]]", Skellinore -- an {{NPC}} in an in-universe role-playing game -- briefly sports two oval-shaped, pink blush spots on her "cheeks" when getting introduced to Big Mac... despite being [[DemBones an animated skeleton]] with no flesh, blood vessels or blood.
* In ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'', the female-line descendants of Mewni's royal family, the Butterfly dynasty, have these as an actual biological trait. Each one's blush stickers are of a unique shape, with protagonist Star Butterfly having pink hearts, though they can sometimes change into other shapes depending on her emotions. When a Butterfly "dips down" into their own personal magic reserve, rather than simply using a magic wand, the blush stickers develop a [[PowerGlows glow]] that can also surround their entire body depending on how much is channeled. Later on, it's explained that the blush stickers developed as a combined result of prolonged magic use and exposure: in one episode, [[spoiler:Marco]] using the wand caused them to temporarily develop crescent-shaped stickers of their own.
