''[[https://www.fictionpress.com/s/3370174/1/The-Jeremiah-School The Jeremiah School]]'' is an on-going Christian fantasy story written by Vic George, the author of ''Fanfic/EmpathTheLuckiestSmurf''. It is published in chapters on [=FictionPress.com=].

In the story, a young boy named Peter Stone is given a dream by God that he has been called to be "a prophet to the nations". In the world he inhabits, Christians who are called to be prophets as children are called Jeremiahs, named for the titular prophet from the Literature/BookOfJeremiah, and these young prophets are called to assemble together at a special school called the Jeremiah School Of Young Prophets, which is led by its founder and headmaster Reverend Jeremiah Xavier. It is here at this school where Peter makes friends with Wesley Ronell, an African/American who is born in a family of Jeremiahs, and Ginger Harmony, a young girl who is a total bookworm. He also meets a rival named Malthorne Draconius, a young prophet who comes off as a complete know-it-all, and in a dream encounters the mysterious Lucien Morgenstern, the headmaster of Luciferian Academy.

The story has been inspired by the ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' series with a mix of ''Literature/LeftBehind'' (and also by ''Fanfic/HogwartsSchoolOfPrayerAndMiracles''), and is meant to be [[TheMoralSubstitute a Christian version of that series]].

!!This story provides examples of:
* AcademyOfEvil:
** The Luciferian Academy teaches its students how to dabble in "the unholy arts" and is run by TheAntichrist.
** The White Knights Academy is primarily a school of racist prophets who believe that they are "the true sons of the lost tribes of Israel".
* AlliterativeName:
** '''D'''ottie '''D'''resser, the aunt of Peter Stone, and his cousin '''D'''onald '''D'''resser.
** '''M'''argaret '''M'''uldoon, a.k.a. '''M'''aggie.
* AnimalEspionage: Morgenstern uses a raven to spy on the children of the Jeremiah School, and finds out that Peter, the son of Thomas and Susan Stone (whom he killed), is a student of that school.
* TheAntichrist: Lucien Morgenstern has been prophesied to be the Antichrist by the students of both the Jeremiah School and the Luciferian Academy.
* AsTheGoodBookSays: There are Bible verses aplenty in this story.
* BoardingSchool: The Jeremiah School Of Young Prophets, which is where Peter and all the Jeremiahs go to.
* DeathByOriginStory: Peter's parents supposedly died in an accident when Peter was a baby. However, it was in a dream when Peter saw that his parents were killed by Morgenstern.
* ElementalPowers: Peter is gifted with the ability to manipulate earth, fire, air, and water, which he uses against the three magic-wielding students of Luciferian Academy.
* ExtranormalInstitute: The Jeremiah School teaches young prophets how to use their prophetic gifts.
* FantasticSlurs: Peter's cousin Donald refers to him and other precocious Christian children like him as "Jerrys", which is short for Jeremiah.
* FlyingDutchman: Wesley hints that Jeremiah Xavier may really be John the apostle, according to what Jesus said about some standing among Him during His first coming that won't taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.
* GoodRunningEvil: When Peter, Wesley, and Ginger talk to Brother Gabriel about whether someone like Morgenstern would ever be allowed to visit the Jeremiah School, Gabriel says that Morgenstern can't do anything unless the Lord permits him to do it.
* HappilyAdopted: The Dressers seem like decent people to their nephew Peter, even as they despise people who call themselves Christians and don't permit any religious literature to be in their house.
* JustAKid: Presumably like Jeremiah the prophet, Peter responds in a similar manner to God calling him out to be a prophet, saying that he doesn't know how to speak for he is only a child. God thought otherwise and anoints him with power.
* KrakenAndLeviathan: A serpentine creature called Leviathan attacks the school, and Peter, Wesley, and Ginger stand up against it and defeat it.
* LaserBlade: Two students at the school fight each other with non-lethal "light swords", which only inflict pain on whoever gets pierced by one.
* LightIsNotGood: The figure known as Morgenstern appears within a bright light, taunting Peter with a coming reunion before he turns into a seven-headed dragon from the Literature/BookOfRevelation.
* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler:Morgenstern confesses to Peter in a dream that he is actually Peter's father.]]
* MagicIsEvil: Brother Gabriel tells Peter, Wesley, and Ginger that the Luciferian Academy teaches its students how to dabble in the "unholy arts", which he says the Bible warns God's people against. The TerribleTrio of Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis use their magic to intimidate Peter, Wesley, and Ginger, but Peter with his God-given ElementalPowers easily defeats them and sends them away.
* MeaningfulName: Fred Blaynes (as in 'blains', meaning a skin sore) and Derek Murrayne (as in 'murrain', a plague), Malthorne's two friends that he picks up along the way to torment Peter, Wesley, and Ginger.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: The Jeremiah School's angels are said to be humanlike creatures made out of pure light.
* RecycledInSpace: It's ''Harry Potter'' [-WITH CHRISTIAN CHILDREN BEING PROPHETS GOING TO A SPECIAL BOARDING SCHOOL IN AMERICA!-]
* ReligionIsMagic: The Jeremiahs are given supernatural abilities, such as Peter's ElementalPowers, Wesley's WordsCanBreakMyBones power, and Ginger's ability to summon various animals to her command.
* ReligionOfEvil: The religion of the students of the Luciferian Academy, where they are taught to tell lies unto people, especially the lie that its headmaster Lucien Morgenstern is actually God made manifest in the flesh.
* StayInTheKitchen: Malthorne taunts Ginger by saying that women shouldn't be prophets, but that they should be housewives and mothers, like his own mother. Peter responds by saying that his parents most likely bought his way into the school, and that his mother is probably busy ordering the servants around.
* SupernormalBindings: Wesley is able to literally bind up spirits and creatures that attack him and his friends with magical chains that appear out of nowhere, called by command.
* TalkingAnimal: The school's horses have the ability to talk, but only the Jeremiahs can hear and talk back to them.
* TerribleTrio: Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis, who are first-year Luciferian Academy students, are evil expies of Harry, Ron, and Hermione from ''Harry Potter'' who harass the main character and his two friends.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Lucien Morgenstern has such good relations with the outside world that he has invited the President of the United States to visit the Luciferian Academy.
* WaifProphet: The school is full of children called to be prophets at age 11.
* WizardDuel: More accurately, a "wizards versus prophets" duel, where the prophets can call down fire, control the elements of nature, command animals, and even literally speak life and death. The first one in the story is with Peter and the three students of Luciferian Academy, which is hardly a duel as Peter easily disarms the wizards by causing lightning to strike their wands and destroy them.
* WizardingSchool: The Luciferian Academy, which teaches its students "the unholy arts".
* WordsCanBreakMyBones: Wesley's words have the literal power over life and death, which he can summon at will. He can also command SupernormalBindings with his words.
