->"We're three guys who love coffee, but really love other stuff too."

Located in Anytown, USA and with a mission statement of "Have Fun," the [[https://www.youtube.com/user/MenDrinkinCoffee Men Drinkin' Coffee]] (the apostrophe is 'fficial now) are three guys with a passion for coffee, non-sequitur, and terrible video games.

* Judge Reinhold ("Judge"): The leader and the {{Straight Man}}. It's usually his job to set up the games, the equipment, and the videos.
* Diaper Chris ("Diaper"): The wise guy. He's usually the one playing the games, and doing so [[{{BumblingSidekick}} poorly]].
* [=NoInternetNameAnthony=] ("Tony"): The [[{{FunPersonified}} goofball]]. His primary role is to say immensely stupid things to give the other two guys stuff to joke about and keep the comedic ball rolling. He left the group in 2014 but occasionally returns every now and then.
* Major Tom: Brought on along with his deep, sultry voice to become the third member of the group after Anthony's departure.

Their comedic style is enjoyably chaotic and involves playing absurd, [[SoBadItsGood low-quality games]], laughing at the bad game design, making obscure [[TheNineties references]], and telling loosely related stories, all while keeping things more-or-less PG-13. On January 11th, 2019, they announced they would bring their LP career to an end, finishing with ''[[VideoGame/GunstarHeroes Gunstar Heroes]]''.

Their most well-known LP is that of [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmkjEUJHDFarNtOcYyKiizXNmp-XpuBvp Ride to Hell: Retribution]].

!!The Men Drinkin' Coffee provide examples of:
[[folder:Let's Plays]]
* AccidentalMisnaming: To themselves. Coffeemen, Men Drinkin' Soda, Men who drink coffee, and the three dumb-asses are all things they've referred to themselves as.
* TheAce: Judge is ''much'' better than Diaper with all of the games they play. [[RuleOfFunny Which is why it's usually Diaper playing.]]
* {{Angrish}}: During the ''Ride to Hell'' DLC, Judge gets quite frustrated after Diaper dies from deliberately charging over electrified wires (and admits he did it just to ire Judge).
* BackstabBackfire: Judge and Diaper tried to covertly cut out Tony in the middle of the Ride to Hell LP. This earned them a quick death in the game, and some scorn from Tony.
%%* BadImpressionists: Billy Crystal, Judge's mom, and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8G3vzHQ3HM&list=PLmkjEUJHDFarNtOcYyKiizXNmp-XpuBvp this guy]]
* BigNO:
** When [[spoiler:Osama (Diaper) kills Santa]] in the ''Minecraft'' Christmas episode.
** Judge screams this when Diaper runs into another electrified floor and dies in ''Ride to Hell''. On purpose.
** This becomes a MadnessMantra when [[spoiler:Jake gets flipped upside-down]].
* TheBladeAlwaysLandsPointyEndIn: In the ''Ride to Hell'' LP, they really loved their knife [[ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks throwing]]. To the point where they once ran away from a boss enemy repeatedly to grab more knives.
** Throwing knives made an appearance in ''Raven's Cry'', and (as per the above entry) Diaper was [[SarcasmMode just as effective with them in this game]]. Unfortunately, they couldn't figure out how to use the knives after that.
* BriefAccentImitation: The trio frequently mimic the awful English voiceovers in ''Raven's Cry''
* CatchPhrase: "Aaand we're back!" at the beginning of every video.
** "This must be the final boss!" Said whenever facing a particularly difficult enemy or challenge.
** Judge is fond of a hammy "Oh ''my GOD!''"
** Chris' "You want fries with that?" during their ''Resident Evil 7'' run... much to the dismay and disapproval of Judge.
* ChristmasEpisode: They called it the [=MenDrinkin'Eggnog=], and it included what [[LetsPlay/ChipCheezum Chip]] and/or Ironicus [[http://chip-and-ironicus.tumblr.com/post/56520475771/ironicus-answers-3-with-a-vengeance called]] "the only good minecraft video on the internet."
* ClothingDamage: Major Tom ripped his pants on the way to the studio on his first day.
* ContinuityNod: During ''Raven's Cry'', Major Tom makes a reference to the earlier Advergames LP. He is quickly chastised for caring too much.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: All of them, Diaper especially.
%%* DudeNotFunny: {{Invoked}} (and PlayedForLaughs) often by Judge scolding his co-commentators.
* EatThat: In the penultimate episode of the [=MMZ2=] LP, they all brought old leftover food and took turns describing and eating it.
* EpicFail: Almost a regular occurrence in ''Raven's Cry.'' Of special note is the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWvauPEyaOg fifth episode]], where Diaper manages to finally win a difficult naval battle after several attempts, only to immediately crash into a friendly ship and sink once he reaches his destination.
* EnsembleDarkHorse: The boys are immediately enthralled by [[HeroicMime Donovan]] and [[TheStoner Shaggy]] in ''Raven's Cry''.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: All of their ''Men Quaffin' Elixirs'' characters fit this. Michael Battleaxe wields a battleaxe, Thad Nobleman [[RoyalBrat is a nobleman]], and Ju'je is...Judge.
* FailedASpotCheck: All too common. Most notable in the first episode of ''Raven's Cry'', where Diaper fails to notice the controls to adjust the cannons or the fact that he's firing the cannons ''on the wrong side of the ship'' until it's too late.
* FanBoy: Tom's treated as a ''VideoGame/MetalGear'' fanboy after he energetically names the ''Metal Gear'' game Judge alludes to in one episode.
* FinishingEachOthersSentences: They're big fans of the "He died as he lived..." gag, with one person doing the setup and another improv'ing a punch line.
* GameMod: Judge makes numerous edits to ''Raven's Cry'' during their playthrough, such as writing "I'm with stupid" on Chris Raven's hat, and later turning it into swiss cheese.
* GagCensor: Judge edits in silly faces to cover Website/YouTube-inappropriate content.
-->'''Judge:''' "Please stay away from the boobs so you make my life a little bit easier when I upload this to Website/YouTube."
* GilliganCut: While playing through ''Bram Stoker's Dracula'' during the Advergames thread, every time Diaper says that there isn't a better weapon than the pitiful-range knife, the video cuts to an alternate take showing Harker obtaining and using the much more useful sword.
%%* HellIsThatNoise: Pretty much the entirety of Super Trix.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: In ''Urban Legends'', where one of the objectives in the notepad is to "face the madman".
-->'''Judge:''' "You're running around like a dang madman!"
-->'''Tom:''' "You are a madman, you must kill yourself!"
* TheHyena: Tony.
-->'''Diaper:''' "When did this game come out?"\
'''Judge:''' "January."
-->'''Tony:''' "OF THIS YEAR?!?"
-->'''Judge:''' "Yes."
-->'''Tony:''' *turns away from mic so it doesn't overload from his laughter*
* HypocriticalHumor: During one episode of ''Catwoman'', Judge is talking about an emoticon someone was posting:
--> '''Judge:''' "It's one of the idiots who founded [[Website/{{Twitch}} this stupid streaming service]]."
--> '''On-screen text:''' ''Recorded from a live podplast [=www.twitch.tv/mendrinkincoffee=]''
* IncrediblyLamePun: Lots.
-->(The guys are approaching the [[SupervillainLair lair]] of a BigBad named Colt)
-->'''Diaper:''' "It's the Fortress of Coltitude!"
-->''{{Beat}}''
-->'''Tony:''' "And you guys wanted ME out of the group, huh?"
* {{Infodump}}: Parodied in the Coffee Tank episodes, where they did an infodump of absurd, cartoonish facts about the group and the people in it.
* IJustShotMarvinInTheFace: In ''Raven's Cry'', Diaper tries to rapid-throw the throwing knives, and ends up nailing Chris Raven's pirate RedShirts in the back of their heads.
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: Diaper at first presents himself as knowledgeable about ''Resident Evil''. He then fails repeatedly to make Barry appear ([[SeriousBusiness which is the most important thing, of course]]) and not only fails to [[spoiler:rescue Chris Redfield]] in the end but admits ''he never even knew you could''.
* LampshadedDoubleEntendre: Played straight or subverted, depending on the situation.
-->'''Tony:''' "I can think of a couple of nice things that [[Franchise/TombRaider Lara Croft]] had... "
-->'''Judge:''' "Oh yeah?"
-->'''Tony:''' "Yeah, like the ability to swim."
* MadnessMantra: During the ''Ride to Hell'' DLC, when Jake [[spoiler:gets '''flipped upside-down''']] after kicking open a door:
-->'''Judge:''' "'''OH. OH NO.'''"
* MixedMetaphor:
--> '''Judge:''' "A good sword game is like a game of chess." ''(Chris Raven gets killed)'' "King me."
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: In the intro to ''Let's Play Horror Games While Wearing a Fitbit'':
--> '''Judge:''' "I'm Dr. Judge Reinhold, and, in an effort to measure the effects of fear, I've enlisted my good friend, Diaper Chris, to wear a Fitbit while he plays various horror games in an effort to more closely ascertain what fear is." ''({{Beat}})'' "Tom's here too."
* ObviousJudas: {{Invoked}} twice in ''Raven's Cry'': Archer Accord, who [[InterfaceSpoiler gives a quest called "Surcoat's Revenge"]], and Avery, whose residence they refer to as "bad guy island".
* {{Parody}}: The "Coffee Tank" videos spoof ''[[Series/DragonsDen Shark Tank]]''.
** ''Peeved Gamer vs Five Nights at Freddy's 2'' parodied both the seemingly endless list of Youtube streamers playing the Five Nights games and the Irate Gamer.
* ParodyReligion: From the ''Golden Compass'' LP, the Church of the Cube, with its many nonsensical cube-mandments.
* ThePollyanna: Again, all of them. They're playing awful games, but they're too busy laughing and making jokes to be anything but happy.
* PressXToDie: During ''Raven's Cry'', Diaper presses a button inside of a temple that triggers a spike trap in the floor, killing Chris Raven and launching him fifty feet into the air. [[TooDumbToLive Then he presses the button again just to see if it was spikes as Judge said.]]
* PutOnABus: Anthony, with the explanation of him standing in line for ''[[Film/TheForceAwakens Star Wars]]''.
** TheBusCameBack: He's returned for a few special episodes, most notably the ''Men Quaffin' Elixirs'' roleplay. [[RunningGag While still in line for ''Star Wars''.]]
%%* RapidFireComedy: To the point that they often interrupt each others' "bits."
* RunningGag: They often compare clumsy, awkward things in the games to "a drunk uncle at a wedding."
** There's often one or two jokes that they come up with specifically for a certain game. For example, in the ''Golden Compass'' LP, they created the [[ParodyReligion Church of the Cube]], while Anthony became obsessed with dinner in the ''Duck Dynasty'' game.
** Exaggerated during the second-last episode of ''Ride to Hell'', where Judge referred to ''every'' obstacle during one driving section as "[[Music/MileyCyrus coming in like a wrecking ball]]".
** The mention of ''destroying'' people with ''[[MundaneMadeAwesome logic]]''.
* SarcasmMode: Lots of this.
-->'''Judge:''' "This is the world's tallest brewery."
-->'''Diaper:''' "Three floors? Golly gee!"
%%* SaveScumming: Used repeatedly in ''Raven's Cry'' due to how frequently Diaper manages to get himself either killed or stuck.
%%* SelfDeprecation: ''Constantly.''
* {{Sellout}}: In the Advergames thread, the team gets rich enough to hire Billy Crystal to do menial tasks for them.
* [[{{SoBadItsGood/VideoGames}} So Bad, It's Good]]: The vast majority of the games they've played have been this.
%%* ShaggyDogStory: Used all the time especially in the Advergames thread.
* TheStinger:
** Every video of the Ride to Hell LP had the funniest/best moment of the video in the stinger, [[Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000 [=MST3k=]]] style.
** Their ''Ride to Hell: Retribution'' and ''Raven's Cry'' [=LPs=] were announced at the end of Coffee Tank series.
* TemptingFate: When Chris Raven is about to venture into a native temple:
-->'''Judge:''' "I ''really'' hope there aren't puzzles.'''
-->''(screen turns black, ominous music starts)''
-->'''On-screen text:''' '''''There will be puzzles.'''''
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Judge loves his Applebee's steak. Everyone loves [=McNuggets=].
* UnintentionallyUnwinnable: The Slenderman Saw Game wouldn't let them choose anything but the first (wrong) answer for a PressXToNotDie question near the end of the game. ''Horrific Horror'' wouldn't even let them leave ''the first room'' despite having the key to the door.
* VerbalBackspace: When one thinks of a punchline, but another thinks of a better one.
-->'''Judge:''' "I'll fix it in post."
* WithCatlikeTread: Diaper's definition of stealth in ''Dark'' seems to consist of getting spotted immediately, hiding for about fifteen seconds, then just running right at every mook and punching them.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: If one of the guys plays badly for too long, the others are quick to let him know.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Men Quaffin' Elixers]]
* AbnormalAmmo: Ju'je's magic missiles, which are shaped like rocks, and later, clumps of dirt.
** All of Thad's arrows are solid gold, but this doesn't seem to alter their effectiveness.
* BarbaricBully: Michael loves to dish out wedgies and schoolyard insults.
* ButtMonkey: Lil' Jack, the Millionaire Mercenary's frequently abused assistant.
* CripplingOverspecialization: Thad carries an absurd amount of weapons, but all of them are bows.
* RealitySubtext: {{Invoked}} by Diaper, who suspects this in regards to Tom's character:
--> '''Tom:''' "He wants to have an adventure, but to have the easiest adventure possible. So he wants everything to be over quickly, he's very ''very'' unmotivated with this whole thing, and ultimately he just wishes it was over."
* SociopathicHero: Michael Battleaxe, Diaper's character.
* TheBrute: Michael Battleaxe, who 'solves problems with his battleaxe and not his brain.'
* TheUnintelligible: Don Bamvilo becomes increasingly less coherent with each appearance.
* WhatTheHellHero: Thad and Michael hold up a cheese shop while Judge admonishes them out of character.
