Raditude is the seventh studio album by GothicMetal band {{Music/Weezer}}, and noted as one of the best albums the band has ever recorded. After the failed yet fandom-acclaimed album Make Believe, Weezer decided to take themselves as an [[CerebusSyndrome actually serious band]] rather than their [[FilkSong Nerd Rocky]] of their last six albums (although they still kept their sarcastic and absurd humor on this album), and even though there is a [[BrokenBase mixed reception when they decided to do that]], it paid off in the long run.

The album also has a more Brutal Prog-like tone compared to Make Believe (which had a less Prog approach, and more of a Pronk-ish vibe to it), and it has some unique experimental sounds to it. [[SignatureSong Signature Songs]] include "If You're Wondering If I Want Your Mom (I Want Your Mom), "The Girl Got Not Hot With Robots And Pot", and the instant classic "Can't Stop Partying".

!!This album provides examples of:

* AbusiveParents: The Dad in "I Was Your Daddy, Tim.", who abandoned his son for some milk.
* AWildRapperAppears: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] for "Oh Hey Look, Music/LilWayne Is Here, Oh Golly Gee". Even though Lil' Wayne IS there, he's not rapping at all. Just being in the back.
---> Wayne: Hey man, can I actually RAP now?
---> Rivers: No.
---> Wayne: Understandable. Keep playing.
* ChildSupplantsParent: "If You're Wondering if I Want Your Mom (I Want Your Mom)" is about this, where the main character even goes insane from the idea of it.
---> Your mom looked hot i asked to go my seat
---> She dug me so much, she took one for the team
---> The dad was silent... cuz' i killed him
* CoverVersion: Music/TheOffspring's "Come Out And Play" but now with more Prog instead of Skate Punk
* DarkerAndEdgier: Even though Make Believe was a little more on the dark side, this album made a new tone for Weezer that carried on to this day. Songs were more abrasive and experimental to the point it sounded nothing like the past six albums.
* EpicRocking: While most of the tracks are pretty lengthy, "Can't Stop Partying" trumps all of them.
* EverythingIsAnInstrument: "The Girl Got Not Hot With Robots And Pot" uses the following instruments: Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums, [[BreadMilkEggsSquick 3 vibrators]], handclaps and even a bulldozer, if you listen closely.
** "Freeway Home" has a water gurgle solo for '''1 and a half minute'''.
* HiddenTrack: "Oh Hey Look, Music/LilWayne Is Here, Oh Golly Gee".
* MissingDad: "I Was Your Daddy, Tim." is about this:
---> This is impossible
---> This is impropable
---> You were my baby sometime
---> And i was your daddy
* NewSoundAlbum: Compare it to their critically acclaimed debut albums (Blue and Pinkerton), and you WOULDN'T recognize that this was the same band! This album expands Weezer's sound from sorta prog (with pop undertones) to full-blown expiremental, pants-on-brain prog. Explained here in an interview with Rivers Cuomo:
---> "We like to screw around with our sound... [[TheStoner and also get high with it.]]"
* OneWordTitle: "Answers"
* SexDrugsAndRockAndRoll: "Can't Stop Partying" [[DeconstructedTrope deconstructs]] this trope. Which is about a glam-rocker who slowly goes into a life of torment.
* ShoutOut: The submarine pings during "Let You Go"'s transmission, might be a reference to Music/PinkFloyd's {{Music/Meddle}}, and the track from it "Echoes".
* TheCoverChangesTheMeaning: "Come Out And Play" originally was about [[SchoolOfHardKnocks a school with gangs]]. {{Music/Weezer}}'s version... is... um.... colorful, to say the least...
