1 | * Why do you get evil points on the KarmaMeter for feeding an imp through a rock crusher? Imps are freaking ''devils.'' In TabletopGame/ForgottenRealms cosmology, they're literally MadeOfEvil! How can it be evil to kill one? |
2 | ** Under a certain interpretation of the alignment system, intent and actions matter. Imps are evil creatures, but they're still sentient and capable of experiencing pain, and getting one killed in such a cruel way could still be considered an evil act. It's the same thought process that tends to describe your average Inquisitor type as lawful evil rather than lawful good. |
3 | *** Also while an imp is evil by nature this particular one is just working in a quarry, not bothering anyone, so has done nothing to justify killing him. Even in a reality where morality is something that can be objectively measured it's still not okay to kill someone for how they feel rather than what they've done. |
